Our honeymoon was so perfect and beautiful here, we don’t speak much English but we feel good very much. Thank you so much definitely I will come back as soon as possible. Thanks Mina for your top service.
Naladhu Private Island personifies luxury, warmth, attention to detail and more. Our holiday in this private but easily accessible resort has left an awe-inspiring experience and beautiful memories that my family will cherish for a very long time. Having been looked after nothing short of royalty throughout the 6 nights we were there, I felt it was the least I could do by writing a detailed feedback about our stay. I hope whoever plans to visit Maldives will find this review extremely useful in choosing Naladhu. It's worth it. To put things in perspective, I travelled to Maldives from London during the February half term holidays. I was accompanied by my wife and two children aged 11 and 4. Weather-wise it is the best time to visit Maldives before the rainy season begins. Travel to Resort – Naladhu had a well air-conditioned and equipped yacht waiting for us to be picked from Male airport. Their service started as soon as we were on the yacht by offering us drinks and cool towels which was extremely refreshing after a long journey. The ride to the resort was about 40 mins from the airport. Those who suffer from motion sickness can be rest assured the trip is short enough to avoid any sickness. Moreover, the crew constantly checked our well-being throughout the ride. Villa and Facilities - We stayed at the Ocean House with Pool and Private Beach Cabana number 7. It comes well equipped with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, his and hers bathroom, outdoor and indoor showers, and freestanding bathtub. It is worth noting that all the villas have been through a complete makeover last year by a leading interior designer. The new look is very contemporary, spacious, airy and has the most breath-taking panoramic views of the ocean. Nothing comes in the way of views between you and the ocean apart from corals which are visible during low tides. Although the ocean side is not accessible for swimming due to strong waves and corals, my wife and I spent hours during the day taking in the most beautiful views of the ocean especially the majestic sunrises every morning. We even saw some visitors swimming close to the villa like white tipped reed sharks, crabs, and a variety of colourful fish. The private beach cabana is only 5 mins walk from the villa and is equipped with everything you need at the beach like beach towels, drinking water and snorkeling gear. The island also has kayaks which we thoroughly enjoyed using. The island also has a larger public pool and gym with TechnoGym equipment. Staff - Naladhu provides a butler service throughout your stay. The Kuwaanu (butler) takes care of all your needs. We were fortunate to have two Kuwaanus during our stay named Aslam and Sulvaan. My family became so close to them that we really felt sad to leave them. Apart from them, special mention of Shaaz and all staff who made our stay extra special. Dining - We chose full board option so that we could have the option of trying different cuisines during our stay. Wow! were we not disappointed. Naladhu has the 'Living Room' restaurant which has a no-menu concept meaning you can order anything you like. Chef Raj and his team will turn those culinary delights into reality. Chef Raj personally came several times to check on our food and always asked what we liked to have the next day. The quality of food can also be said about the other restaurants available in the sister islands Dhigu and Veli. We had meals at the Aqua Bar (Pub food), Baan Huraa (Thai), Fushi Cafe (Buffet), Origami (Japanese), Sea.Fire.Salt (Grill) and 73 Degrees (Italian). Each of those restaurants had a unique menu that was a delight to our taste buds. I'd recommend booking the Teppanyaki live experience in Origami in advance as it is most sought after. All restaurants cater to vegetarians and vegans. The best part is the chefs were happy to customize non-veg dishes to cater to vegetarian requirements. Cleanliness and Covid Safety - As we live in unprecedented times, cleanliness, hygiene and covid safety were always on our minds. Naladhu’s record is top notch in this regard. All staff wore masks throughout our stay. Rooms were cleaned and disinfected twice a day. Towels were also changed every day. Lagoon - The lagoon is shared with the sister islands Dhigu and Veli. However, it's so large that there is no way you are going to bump into anyone from either island let alone from Naladhu. It almost felt like our own private beach. There are a few coral reefs that can be explored within the lagoon. We were amazed to find a turtle and a variety of fish. Activities - During our stay we booked the Glass Bottom Boat Trip, Shark Snorkeling and Dolphin Sunset Cruise apart from many other activities available. All three were amazing experiences. The Glass bottom boat trip was great for kids so they could see the coral reefs and fish up to 40 feet below. The Shark Snorkeling was a lifetime experience where you swim with Nurse sharks that are the most innocent of its kind. There is far greater risk in humans hurting them rather than the other way around. The Dolphin Sunset Cruise was a surreal experience especially when you get to see Dolphins’ swimming and playing in their natural habitat and of course the gorgeous sunset. Surprise - Having been spoilt throughout the holiday, the Naladhu team had a surprise for us on the last day. Whilst the usual checkout time is 12pm, our flight back to UK was late at night. Rather than checking us out, the Naladhu team moved us to their flagship Two Bedroom Residence which is the most luxurious 600sqm property I have ever seen. We were allowed to use all the facilities in the villa until it was time to leave for the airport. I've added some photos of the stunning property. Sulvaan even gifted us with a photo of our family when we first arrived on the island, special cookies that my kids relished and baggage tags with our names on it. A heart-warming gesture! Travel Representative – Naladhu had a travel representative waiting for us at Male airport navigating us and our luggage through the endless queues. The representative stayed with us until we made it to immigration. As you can see this resort takes care of the finest of details. Overall, this has been the most memorable holiday I’ve ever been. Usually when I go on a holiday, by the end of it, I can't wait to come home. This definitely wasn't like that. Naladhu felt like home away from home and its staff became more like family. We can't wait to visit them again in the not-so-distant future.…
Excellent room. One of the best in the Maldives Beautiful Lagoon. Not great snorkeling. Sand is not so soft like other islands in the Maldives Great service. Thanks Mina! It was a very good get away for relaxing and recharge. It's very good to have 2 more island nearby where you can go walk, swim and dine. Good food and service at restaurants. Thanks to the excellent last diner with the Chef at Living Room. Transfers smooth and fast. One of the best I'd experience in the Maldives. Overall it was a very good trip and I'll recommend to my friends.
We're just back from a week in Naladhu and we had such a fantastic time I felt compelled to leave a review! The island itself is a half-hour speedboat trip from Male airport, and once there it really does feel like paradise: the colour of the water, the white sandy beaches, the palm trees - it feels incredibly special. I think there are 20 villas on the island, but as it was approaching quieter season there were only 10 in occupancy. We did see people around but maybe at the rate of one other couple on the beach each day, and a few people we came to recognise in the restaurant. We stayed in the Ocean Villa and it was really beautiful. The photos don't quite do the amount of space justice: there's a generous kitchen and wardrobe area, a huge bathroom with steam shower, bathtub and his & her sinks, with glass doors leading out directly onto the swimming pool and to views of the ocean beyond. The bedroom area leading off the kitchen is also pretty generous and also with two sets of double doors, one also leading to the pool and one leading to othe decking & ocean views. The decking was a fantastic plcae to relax: the double hammock/couch was super comfy and the best place to unwind during the day. The decking also had a small table & chairs in case you wanted to pay for room delivery (not included in the half-boarding). Because the Ocean Villa faces directly onto the wave break against the decking, and isn't on the beach, we had our own cabana on the beach instead, plus sun loungers allocated to us. The cabana felt a little too enclosed / stifling but we did make use of the sun loungers - although we spent most of the time in our own pool. Every need was catered to; to be honest we struggled to know how best to use the butler service as we're not used to having someone so willing to assist! But Ameen was super lovely and friendly and helped us to sort out our problem with our go-pro, and booked our dining options & our activities. The restaurant, The Living Room, looks out over the beach and feels like you're in a postcard; the sunsets are pretty special. We ate off the menu initially but we found it best to ask Murphy, the supervisor, to surprise us each night and we were hugely glad we did - that'd be our top tip! We had a Japanese night (sushi & tempura), beautiful Italian dishes, steak tartare, etc. Breakfasts here are fantastic too; the strawberry pastries and the ham & cheese omlette ended up being our favourites. We were on half board and didn't need to eat much else other than a late brunch and early dinner. Those staying at Naladhu are able to go to the other islands - one was closed but it was nice to Dhigu for a bit of variety. Dhigu is more family-orientated, feels a bit bigger and has more restaurants. Sea Salt Fire was excellent again with spectacular ocean views, and these restuarants were still included in our half board options. We did the nurse shark snorkelling and although pricey it was worth it as I've not had this option in other places; there are other options available eg swimming wild dolphins, turtles, etc, and some are far less expensive than the nurse sharks. All in all my top tips would be: think about how sensitive you are to noise as the ocean is loud and if you think this might keep you awake the Beach Villa might be better (one couple moved while we were there; at night in bed the ocean can sound like a loud wind - we didn't mind it of course!); make the most out of being adventurous with the menus; and snorkel around the island particularly along the jetties as you can see some amazing sea life - including plenty of stingray, fish, octopus and turtles! Big thanks to Murphy & Mico for such great service at The Living Room & to the talented chef, plus to Ameen for being on hand and always happy to help out!…
We had a nine day stay at Naladhu over Easter 2022. This was our 3rd visit to Naladhu and we stayed in 2 ocean rooms as a family with 2 teenage children, rooms 12 and 13. We love Naladhu, its just the most beautiful place on the planet. Best part is although the island was busy as this was peak season, it still feels quiet, you never see anyone and the island is set up for privacy and anonymity. Staff are amazing and nothing was too much trouble, you want Japanese for dinner, we'll make that happen, day spa appointment, we can sort that, breakfast at 12 after a jet ski trip out around a deserted atoll, no trouble at all. The rooms have had a renovation and have come up really nice, impeccable decor but still capture the beauty of the ocean out front. We couldn't fault the resort, the service level or the destination and will return again.…
My family and I (wife and 2 boys (aged 5 & 3) stayed in the main Residence. The most exclusive accommodation available on the island. The excellence and impeccable residence was matched with the service to. THIS IS the best service we have ever experienced anywhere in the world. We have stayed in the worlds best hotels. Having been to the Maldives many times, we returned back here for the second time. You know how good the service and the island is when you’re already wanting to book your next visit whilst you’re there. I could write for hours and explain in more detail but it would never describe how special this place is and how it is made complete by its staff. Without the staff there is no island. (If that makes sense). A HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Jinan and Supratik. These two are probably the BEST I have ever come across in the tourism and hospitality/ hotel industry. They are a seven star ⭐️ service. There is nobody who compete ls with them. There are obviously many more such as the room boys and the waiters at Living room. Every single one of you are second to none. The best of the best. You come to the Maldives for it’s beauty however what made this holiday even more special was the service. We will be back again, again and again. Love Rasul family X…
Just got back home after spending two wonderful weeks in Naladhu. What an amazing stay! The rooms are new and beautiful, we stayed in the beach villa.. The staff is super attentive. We had a really great butler - Aslam that helped us with everything we needed. The living room restaurant is actually the best choice between three islands - excellent food! I loved the no-menu concept and having breakfast at any time of the day (I eat my breakfast very late so usually have to skip it in the hotels). Special thanks to Mico, the restaurant manager. Our 7 year old had a blast in Dighu kids club that had lovely attentive staff. Special thanks to Alex! If you are into yoga, Brij is a great yoga instructor, I suggest booking private sunrise class on the beach with him. The island has also a small private spa treatment room in addition to the spa in Dighu - I recommend booking massage with Diwi. Initially, we were a bit worried about getting bored on such a small island, but it was impossible to get bored with all water sports activities that this hotel got to offer. We swam with whale sharks, nurse sharks, turtles, dolphins snorkelled the coral garden and many more. The little one learned to water ski and wake board. Overall very smooth stay, there were minor hiccups, but they were fixed straight away! Best trip to Maldives so far!…
We have just returned from 11 days at the Naladhu private island. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately we had had to postpone our holiday by 2 weeks due to illness. We dealt Shaaz and Giles and they were so helpful and accommodating under difficult circumstances. From the moment we arrived at the airport, the boat transfer and the traditional welcome we felt special. We were had 6 nights in a beach villa and 5 nights in a ocean villa. Both rooms were the same quality and elegance, we couldn’t decide which one was our favourite. We were looked after very well by Aslam who was our kuwaana, he was always at the end of the phone/what’s app for anything we needed, nothing was too much trouble for him. Every day we would come back to little snacks in the room and even flowers on Mother’s Day. The day to day room servicing was done by Babu and it was a nice touch to come back to a rose petal bubble Bath and personal messages every day. We ate at the Living Room, Baan Huraa and Sea Fire Salt on the other island of Dhigu, all meals were very well presented and delicious. The only slight disappointment was we weren’t advised that Veli island was shut due to renovations because we had been looking forward to eating at the Japanese restaurant there. Naladhu is a very special place, we look forward to definitely returning one day. Sent from my iPad…
We went to Naladhu for our honeymoon and 7 nights and had the time of our lives. It was literally paradise. The service, location, amenities, food... everything was perfect at Naladhu. The ocean view villas are amazingly private with only few passing boats in the distance. No one can snorkel Infront and look in unlike many water villas in Maldives. The food in the living room is amazing. It's like dinning in a 2+ Michelin star restaurant everyday. We would definitely be back! We have enjoyed some time and food in Dhigu as well but it cannot be compared. We would suggest to go over for only the spa, excursions, and aqua bar for sunset drinks.
I traveled the world quite a bit and tried very nice hotels and resorts. Naladhu is on the very top of my list. It's not just the sheer beauty of the Maldivian environment or the classy, spacious and comfortable villas. There is something special in being in an island with very few people (that you rarely see around) feeling like the entire place is for yourself. The impeccable service of the butler makes the experience even better so that you can enjoy a lazy breakfast in your own pool at the villa. The restaurant on the island is excellent but so are the other ones available in close by Dhigu and Veli. There's an ample menu of activities to choose from when you don't just want to quietly enjoy how good life can be. Truly a paradise!
