This is a wonderful building in rural Kashubia. It looks like it might have been a stately home at one point. Definitely the poshest place I've eaten in Poland. House is set in spacious grounds and there were people riding horses round a paddock outside. Waiters were very quick and efficient considering there were about 24 of us. Nicely cooked goose, well prepared salads. A winner for special occasions.
The Chef prepared an excellent goose leg, and it was very tasty, perfectly cooked and the side dishes also! I highly recommend to try this restaurant, even if the village is quite small and maybe not really easy to find
I can not give a place like this 5 stars. Mainly because i only came to eat, and therefore cant give a review of the rest of the place. The food here was excellent. We were the only guests at the restaurant, so the kitchen and waiters had plenty of time to do "the little extra". The Chef came out to inquire if we liked the food, and he looked generally pleased to hear that we did. I felt honest and real from him. The sorrundings are really nice, and they even have a little pirogeri, i think they called it, where you can get polish dumplings. To be honest, i think my wife would have prefered to eat there. She is crazy about them:-) I would recommend to eat here any day of the week, and even if your in Gdansk and have a car. Drive here and try it.
Went there last August 2016 for friends' wedding. Loved rooms, location+there is a lake couple minutes walk from the place. Food was amazing, especially the pirogy place where we lunched every day, Despite having an amazing experience I would consider this place more for weddings or big party events over a weekend rather then a getaway. Although, if you ant piece and quite worth visiting, the beautiful Gdansk is half an hour away and we used local taxis to commute to the city.
It is a pretty new place in the village. A restaurant is in a restored old mansion house. It is nice even with a lot of toys for children. The food is ok but overpriced, especially compared to other local restaurants. They try to be a posh restaurant, with exclusive menu and they have partly succeed in it. Local goose breast is very good, wild mushroom soup is excellent, goose meat soup was average. The chef was coming to the guests suggesting things to try. Unfortunately everything was spoiled with a pathetic service. When we came in all unoccupied tables had a "Reserved" plaques. We waited quite a while and had to ask couple of persons to find out that the tables were not reserved. The waitress was hopeless, had no idea whom to serve first, forced us to take our silver and napkins with us when we wanted to change the table. Eventually it was one of extremely rare cases where we decided not to tip her. Generally it is an expensive restaurant in a nice place but not worth the money. We live nearby and will watch how they will get on.…
