We were upgraded from the King to Africa suite (no charge) on arrival, and had immense amounts of space: two en suite bathrooms, with the bedrooms separated on either side of the house. Big kitchen, dining area, large lounge, etc. Very reasonable price (and less than a quarter the price of one room with 4 beds in Zurich, where we went next). It was cold while we were there, definitely needed to bundle up inside and use the hot water bottles overnight. Make sure you phone ahead to let Barry know when you arrive.

I spent 2 weeks here at Ascot. Thanks you Barry for a friendly welcome. Self catering so wash your own dishes, and pull your own bed straight. A quiet neighborhood with only the odd car passing. Close to shopping center, and various other attractions. Security guard patrols the area outside during the night. Thanks for the lock up garage. As I had tools in my bakkie (pickup) I slept better. Will keep on my list for next time.

Arrived to a fight for 45 mins over the intercom being told we don’t have a booking. Eventually we got in. Doesn’t look much like the pics, except for the gardens. Room was average unserviced, could not find anybody for help with anything, not impressed at all.

Stayed at ascot garden for 5 days, the place is peaceful. Only met the owners on arrival and upon leaving, they leave you in peace. Comfortable stay and highly recommend. Only negative that does not relate to the property is that their is a water shortage in Cape Town and as a guest of the property you need to do your bit to conserve the precious resource.

Lost count how many times we have stayed here and in a number of different types of accommodation. It offers space for single people, couples to large family groups. The prices are also very competitive. The gardens are beautiful and helps make most appartments private. There is a small pool and most places have a bbq. It is situated in a quiet suberb of southern cape Town with some very good cafes and restaurants. It is also safe to walk to the local restaurants at night, a massive plus. You are 20 minutes drive from the coast and the city centre. Golf and tennis clubs near by. Barry the owner is a very friendly gentleman and the staff are lovely. The one slight drawback I could pick fault is we normally go for four star accommodation, however it's definitely 3 star and very competitively priced with 5 star customer service.
