Good food, decent rooms. Standard expectation for dive resorts on the east coast of malaysia. Insect repellents are a top priority due to the popular sandflies around the resort area. Spotted an adult male Whale Shark at five sisters dive site.

Tenggol Island Beach Resort is located in the middle of the island. The journey from the jetty to the resort will take you about 45mins. I went with 3 other friends and all of us stayed in quad room. The room is basic room with comfortable pillow and bed, blanket, towel and hot water. There are also veranda for you... More

We travelled in couple, who are still very new to the scuba diving, with fairly about 20 dives experiences. Robin, the dive guide, were unprofessional in may ways. Firstly, no briefing prior to every dives. Second, he did not put our safety in top priority, almost every dives he brought us to as deep as 30m, even he knew that... More

Dives - my friends and I spent 4D3N with them and did 7-8 dives with our dive guide Robin. Compare to tioman, the viz was good, definitely no crowds and no fishing boat, in a way it's relatively safer for beginners and for those want to do Open Water. A lot of good dive sites just round the corner of... More

If you don't spend time in your room and your focus is on diving and snorkeling, then this resort is for you. My quad room was adequate but could do with an upgrade - the linoleum was starting to peel and the bathroom metal fixtures were rusting. The aircon also went off for a few hours each afternoon which made... More

The chalet is very basic and not 5 star. Food, drinks and network services so so...... But most of all it is the sea corals and environment that matter. Corals are colorful. Fishes and diverse and swim around you. Baby sharks spotted, giant clams, barracudas, parrot fishes, turtles all are part of the marine population here. Most of the environment... More

Mention Tenggol, experience divers will pop out this name ... The Robin Hood! Been wanting to check this guy out and true enough, he is great not good! Was there over the weekend for 3 days and dive with Robin Hood through out my stay. Generally, his diving team are small and friendly. The only complain I have is that... More

This is my second time here - place is still OK. Room is OK, staff is very friendly, diving was great!. But you really need to see which DM that you prefer, as some might be friendlier than the other. Food was chinese infused, we had a little trouble adapting to it, but a little chat with the kakak at... More

We came to snorkel and dive with our yacht. The Dive Staff told us we could not anchor even though we were in sand nowhere near the coral reef and they made us take a mooring close to the rocks over coral. The Dive Staff had a boat load of divers and made them wait while they watched us close... More

Was actually staying at a neighbour resort (I definitely don't recommend it, they didn't change the sheets when we arrived...it had smelled of sweat) when I strolled over to Tenggol Island Beach Resort (TIBR) just to check out the entire beach. Was pleasantly surprised with the chilled atmosphere and everyone seemed to know everyone. I met Robin at the bar... More
