Right from the airport, the transfers were smooth and we reached the hotel with great comfort. Bandula who welcomed us with a smile helped us with the check in and briefed us on things to do, facilities available, etc. We stayed at the Overwater Villa which was unbelievable. The room, the view of the ocean and a dip into the waters, from your room is an experience which cannot be described. With a kid in tow, the place is bliss. Amazing pool, clean and huge, there is nothing you will complain about. The food is amazing, all the staff at the restaurant, Rathesh, Arun, Bhoopati, Rafiu, and the girls too, were all warm and served with a smile. Great stuff to do, the sunset cruise is an amazing experience, snorkeling lessons, kayaking and deep diving activities is a must. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Holiday Inn and would definitely recommend this property for a fun-filled, memorable holiday with your family. Thank you team Holiday Inn.…
Pros: The staff is so friendly!!, every single one of them treated us well, the rooms are so nice!!! clean and spacious, they have kiddie pool and kiddie club where kids can stay for free , they offer some free activities. Beach is perfect! You onky need to take a quick boat ride Cons: We travel during christmas and were charged so much for the buffet dinner on 24 and 25, even my 4yo I did knew they will charge it but I wish we could have the choice to get it or not since we have small kids and we are at bed by 7, does not make sense for us to get it
We loved everything, the surrounding are heavenly beautiful. The kids club team with Chinno on top were so sweet and kept out 8 & 9 years old girls busy. The food was delicious, and they had plenty of gluten free options for my kids. The restaurant team were so nice, especially prince Mohamed Ali. Would love to come again
Third time lucky and it was well worth the wait!! Due to Covid our booking had to be moved twice before, so this added a even longing of wanting to be there and high expectations the resort did not disappoint. If you can really push the boat out and book am overwater villa the view is perfect and when it feels like 37 degrees there was nothing better than waking down the steps to take a dip and cool down. The villas are spacious with big comfy beds. Another pointer would be to book full board or all inclusive as without this is would get very costly. All the food was amazing and the different entertainment and dinners at night that the resort puts on are amazing. We got a voucher for a photo shoot which we would receive 1 free photo we are not one for pictures but it was well worth it absolutely amazing pictures done in an amazing place. Take sun hats, jungle spray as we did get bit a few times and water bottles keep your water cool all day. Big shout out to all the staff they all work so hard never stopping and you see the same staff day in day out working hard with a smile. Special thank you to Dharbey ( apologies if not he correct spelling he wore a maroon five badge and spent most of his time in sessions) so friendly and provided excellent customer service defiantly deserves employee of the month. Plenty of daily activities to get involved with and we we’re lucky enough to be able to plant some trees for world earth day which was amazing. You don’t have to venture far to see the sealife just snorkelling from our room there were a variety of fish, crabs and we were even lucky to see a small Reef shark swimming by. The dive shop did amazing trips we did the snorkel one and saw turtles, sharks and a higher variety of fish. The rays you can see by taking a walk across the bridge on a night. We did want todo the night snorkel but there had to be a min of 4 people the staff were friendly and took our details and would let us know if they had anyone else wanting to go. In the meantime we booked todo the Introduction diving course it was amazing we had a fab instructor called Mike would highly recommend really knowledgeable and thorough and he made you feel safe and comfortable throughout. Overall really amazing time and would recommend this to anyone wait and save so that you can book the best so that it enhances the once in a lifetime experience. If anyone does have any questions please ask be happy to help.…
I have travelled many international destinations but I have never seen such a racist staff of any star hotel, We felt so humiliated while seeing discrimination between we Indian & other white people. I will not suggest any Indian to visit this hotel... Specifically there is one lady waitress named Gaga was so rude to the ladies of my family...
This was our first trip to Maldives on our 10th weeding anniversary. We travelled along with our 5 year old kid and had awesome time there. Stayed two nights in beach house and 2 nights in water villa. My kid enjoyed kid's activities their in club and pool. Had some concerns regarding getting paratha/chapti for my kid as he is very specific to food and doesn't eat anything else, but all thanks to Jobi and Niteesh. They would ask every time what my kid would like to have in his meal and would prepare accordingly. They also have some theme based activities during dinner t which is good. Only disappointment was that didn't receive any complimentary gifts for my 10th anniversary as promised by my tour operator. other than that every thing was great.
I spent a week here after a couple of nights at the nearby Como resort. For a Holiday Inn, it's comfortable and nicer than your average HI property. The island is nice as well, with a pretty beach and turqiouse water. The spa, interestingly, is run by Como, with the same spa treatment menu but prices are slightly lower (the quality too, though). My biggest gripe was food. The main, buffet-style restaurant was very poor quality. The "upscale" restaurant that's open a few nights per week for dinner wasn't great either. The quality of the lunch place (by the pool) was horrible. I cut my stay short and move to another island because I just couldn't look at the HI food anymore. It's a fairly short boat transfer from MLE airport. You'll see a lot of airline crews which overnight here (Swiss, Condor, Austrian, BA, I think). Is it a good value? Not sure. With both cash ($500+) and point rates per nights more expensive that the Intercontinental Vendome in Paris (which is truly luxurious and exceptional), it's pretty shocking that Holiday Inn is more expensive... I'd either stay at a local island (which is more fun) or splurge (perhaps fewer nights) at a nicer resort, as the HI will make you feel like you're coming to New York for your dream vacation but staying at a highway Holiday Inn Express in New Jersey.…
My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the beach villa and another two nights at the water villa. While the water villa was nice the beach villa was a bit run down and not worth what you were paying . How ever we had a lot problems with some of the staff who were rude and condescending particularly at the reception. We were initially allocated room number 148 and on going there we found that there was a welcome letter addressed to someone else. Our luggage was in the room as was someone else's. We went to the reception to enquire if there was some mistake but we were horrified at the hostile reaction of a lady there who asked me to stop bickering. On my insisting that this should be looked into She reluctantly agreed to send someone to the room to check if there was some mistake. As a parting comment she said that there is an electric kettle in the room and we should not cook in it. We experienced this kind of rudeness from a couple of others while we were there. With regard to the food, except for the breakfast the quality of the food at both the lunch and dinner was poor to moderate. I also had the experience of being overcharged for the drinks at the bar where more number of drinks were put onto my chit than what I had consumed and t I had to ask them to correct the chit on 2 occasions. Also on checkout I found that they had charged me for something for which they could not produce the chit with my signature on it. Overall I had a less than satisfactory experience at the resort.…
A wonderful resort, just 40 minutes by speedboat from the airport, but a world away. The hotel offers everything you would expect from a Maldives resort; beautiful beaches, great snorkeling & diving excellent bar & restaurant options. We loved our romantic over-water villa, & the beachfront rooms look great too. We loved the fact that many of the varied watersport options are complimentary. Highly recommended!
Was amazing place to visit. The resort service was excellent and stuffs are super. Especially Alka from front desk, Ali from Water sport and dining area manager Ismail. We will definitely recommend you this place without any doubts. Beautiful resort with amazing stuffs. Thank you all. It was unforgettable trip for us.
