So the island was nice, quite small but enjoyable. The staff were friendly and the food was good as we had all inclusive. So on our last night, they said we can check out at 2.30pm and we catch the boat to the airport at 3pm, also includes lunch before we leave. But all of a sudden, in the morning at 11.15am, we get a note saying we have to leave the room before 12pm and we won’t get lunch, so we basically have to sit in the reception area for 3 hours with no lunch. To do this with such short space of time, given that we weren’t fully packed was an atrocious thing to do. Due to this reason the island lost all its credibility.

Beautiful island with gorgeous beaches, excellent food, lovely staff, relaxed atmosphere. Everything we hoped for from a stunning part of the world. The spa ladies were fabulous and gave a fantastic experience. The diving was as you would expect from a tropical paradise and the dive base staff were excellent.

We spent 8 nights in Eriyadu. It gave us everything we expected! Lot of animals on the island. Perfect place for snorkeling, we saw sharks, rays, turtles, and a lot of fishes just a few meters from the coast. The whole hotel Crew was really friendly and professionel. Good programs at the evening in the bar, especcially the acoustic performace. Food is really good. The bed is really comfortable.

Just got back from Eriyadu ....and this this was the 9th time we have been to the Maldives and I must say what a great time we had......As vegetarians the food was plentiful and tasty....the beaches are paradise and the room we had ( 224 ) was perfect. The staff were always smiling and our waiter "Seashell" was a delight...nothing was too much trouble for him, always ready to chat and very attentive. Very relaxing time, we would have liked to have a go on the Jet-Ski but at $110 for 15 minutes we thought better of it. It is also a pity that a lot of the coral on the reef has died but I suppose that's climate change for you. All in all an enjoyable holiday, tasty food, happy staff and great value. Well done all.

Slow service in the restaurant and bars. Staff don't have a decent uniform although they are polite. But I can say they are lack of training. Amenities wise, not good, towels are torn and looks like not washed properly. No toiletries. Bathroom looks unhygienic. Entertainment is okay in the night. Food not good quality although taste is okay. Landscaping in the island is not done.. looks like uninhabited island. Cleanliness is poor. Looks like the bar will collapse. Table napkins are torn n unpresentable. Only enjoyed billiard and table tennis. Bed decoration and table set up in the beach is appreciated during my birthday. Overall, could have been more value for money.

We had an all inclusive. The food selection is so so. Many curry type of food if that’s what you love. The drinks are ok too inside all inclusive. The biggest problem for me is mosquitoes, we got total of over 20 mosquito bites! 😳 and big ants crawled around the room. Also the shower gel and shampoo are small, you may need to bring your own. But the view is fantastic, most stuff on Sadie are friendly. I consider this resort are the low budget type. If you like something more luxury, pick something else.

We have just returned home following 10 days holiday. There is so much to like on the Island. The beach is beautiful and was very quiet. Our room comfortable and clean, with good air conditioning. Bathroom could definitely do with an upgrade particularly as the floor would be flooded often after rain. We enjoyed our meals and felt the food was varied enough. I didn’t mind paying more for extra cocktails, but did think perhaps the all inclusive choices could be improved. The resort felt quiet, relaxed and safe. Our girls loved being in the pool and I felt we were just left to get on with our holiday without intrusion. We had no choice but to thoroughly chill out and enjoy our time there. The staff are so attentive and kind, I felt sad saying goodbye to Dinesh, Rajon and Fee. The only really bad point for me was getting back onto the speedboat for the return journey. It was really windy and as the boat was bumping the decking, planks were raising up and coming loose. Felt really dangerous and unpleasant. Those are the areas that I think need the most renovation. A memorable holiday, and I hope Eriyadu never loses its charm.

My partner and I have just returned from Eriyadu and whole heartedly recommend the resort. There are so many positive talking points. The reef is around room 236 and upwards, the reef is only a short distance from the beach (50ft?). The reef is further away at other points but it is great everywhere. You will see lots of black tip reef sharks ranging from 30cm to 4ft in the shallows (less of the 4 footers!). They are quite timid and the bigger ones will come for a little closer look but will generally avoid you (the only danger is shock on seeing them!). There are harmless nurse sharks on the reef and I was fortunate enough to swim with one (a 5 to 6 footer!) although I nearly had a heart attack when it came for a look at me on my blindside and I saw it when it was only 30cm away in 3ft of water. I actually bumped into it! Nurse sharks are said to quite inquisitive. It was brilliant once I changed my shorts! Saw a turtle and a large ray from a distance. We took our own masks, but if you are all inclusive then I believe the resort will let you borrow them for free. The beach is lovely golden sand, as are the shallows prior to the reef. Bring sea shoes though for the loose coral. There were plenty of nice sun loungers and each room has 2 thick mattresses stored on the balcony, although you often found that mattresses were already available without having to use yours. This made the sun beds super comfy. The bed was relatively firm/good support but very comfortable. I have stayed in many hotels and would recommend the bed for a decent nights sleep. Many other guests agreed about the beds. The aircon was good and quiet, as was the ceiling fan. We had 2 free 500ml bottles of water delivered to the room each morning and there was a fridge, kettle, coffee & tea & hairdryer in the room. The bathroom was ok, but a little dark and as the walk in shower is open to the sky, when it rained the bathroom floor tended to flood. There was also a bath with a shower attachment on the wall. Wifi was reasonable and was available in the rooms, no issues with Netflix. The food was delicious. If you like curry then you will be very happy. Curry tuna steak, chicken & mutton, dhal, various potato/sweet potato/beetroot/pumpkin/vegetable curries. Various rice dishes and roti (like chapatis). You could have curry at every meal if you wanted! There were non curry dishes as well, meat &/or fish, vegetable, pasta options. Plus a salad bar. I stayed with the curry but my partner tried both and recommended the beef and pasta dishes. The deserts were some of the nicest I have had at an all inclusive. The house white wine was pleasant and others were seen regularly drinking the red. The bar is a very nice place, with the outside seats giving a great view of the sharks swimming passed and generally great views of the lovely scenery & sunsets. The beer was nice and cold. My partner had cocktails and she enjoyed them. Please note that the normal all inclusive package does not include drinks at the beach bar or diet drinks. The beach bar was not a problem, but diet drinks would have been nice. Last but not least are the staff. I can honestly say that the restaurant waiters and bar staff were the best that I have come across. Very friendly and attentive, a real credit to the resort. The waiters would ensure that your glass was never empty and you never even had to leave your chair in the bar area. It made for a very relaxing environment. They were obviously the staff that guests had the most contact with and I cannot thank or praise them enough. The chefs would be seen regularly out with the food and speaking with guests and were also so lovely. They would enquire as to what we thought of the food and what anyone thought was missing or needed changing. This was all very genuine and easy going. The room cleaning staff and any others that we saw were also always very friendly and accommodating. My partner had a birthday whilst we were there and our evening dinner table (we sat in the same area each meal out of choice) was set up with flowers and extra decoration. We had a birthday cake brought out (for free and not booked) and the waiters sang happy birthday. The cake was delicious. Our bed was also decorated and we thought the level of work & effort with the flowers was the best we had ever seen. When you first arrive in Male at the start of your holiday, you will have a 45 minute boat ride to the island. The boat departs at around 9.30am normally, so bear that in mind for any choice of flight arrival time. We arrived at 6.30am and immigration control was very fast, so we had quite a wait for the boat, which wasn’t ideal after already travelling for around 19hrs.
