The guest experience from the moment you are received at the airport to the final goodbye at this remarkable property is crafted by an incredibly hard working and professional team with a genuine passion for what they do. This is a highly competitive industry and there are scores of ultra luxury resorts in the Maldives. The islands are all stunningly beautiful as well. What sets this property apart (in addition to their commendable conservation initiatives) is their meticulous attention to detail, personal care and that unique ability to anticipate a guest’s needs (on occasion even before you know what it is you need). From small details such as a wet towel lying ready at the table every time our 6 year old decided to go hunting for seashells over breakfast to the kind gentlemen who saw us off at the airport right till security, we were touched. 6am room service full breakfast was offered for our early start even without us asking. Chef Sharma even came out to the jetty at 7am to see us off and enquire about our dinner the previous evening! Our daughter literally had tears when saying goodbye. A massive thank you Rasheed, Felix, Chef Sharma, the entire housekeeping team and everyone on the staff for making our pandemic escape (and anniversary) truly memorable and special. We can’t wait to come back!

Despite not having a house reef, Four Seasons Landaa still comes out on top. As other five star hotels, you are welcomed by the staff at the exit from the luggage area. Four Seasons has a private lounge just across the exit, your luggage is checked in by Four Seasons staff, and you are taken to the seaplane lounge in a private car. Arriving at the island, you find the newly renovated water villas. The sunset water villa is worth the extra, the pool are the biggest we have experienced. The service is personal and effective with attention to the smallest details. We where particular impressed by the breakfast team. No need to wait for your scrambles eggs or your selection of fresh fruit at the buffet, it’s delivered at your table within minutes, always with a smile. Coffee selection the best we ever experienced. Second day we did not even have to order – they made a note of our preferences - down to the smallest details. The staff at the beach made sure you always has cold water, your sun glasses was cleaned and free snacks are served throughout the day. Eddy and his team at the Blu restaurant made every evening special. Great stay

This hotel is simply the perfect beach resort. The facilities and the staff are faultless.
We stayed in a sunset water villa, which were redesigned last year, and they are now simply divine. We have stayed in other water villas in the Maldives and nothing compares to these! The outdoor space, with multiple day bed options, gorgeous infinity pool and steps down into the beautiful ocean, mean you don’t actually have to go anywhere to enjoy the slice of Maldivian paradise. The villa was made even better by the outstanding housekeeping, touches like adding more water to the daily supply(having noticed and not been asked) as we drink so much following diving, are the little details that make the difference between the Four Seasons and other resorts. Our housekeeper, Mode, was simply one of the most thoughtful members of staff I have come across in the hotel industry. He went out of his way to create personalised messages each night, drew some incredible drawings and prepared a beautiful romantic bath for my husband and I one evening.
We were visiting during Covid restrictions so the only restaurants open were Blu and Fuego, however this made no impact on our stay and all the food was exceptional both quality and presentation. The chefs were flexible to prepare anything we asked for even when it was not on the menu. Eddy, Shihab, Munat and the rest of the F&B team work tirelessly to make sure everything is enjoyable and remember all the details of your trip as well as any food preferences. Literally every whim is taken care of here.
Finally the dive team, Angela runs a fantastic operation at the dive centre, the team are engaging, knowledgeable and help with every element to make diving so enjoyable. My husband and I did 20 dives, 2 dives every morning, and our guide Anow was exceptional. The dives were well prepared, the gear set up and looked after perfectly. We were here in manta season and the team tried hard to make sure we were best placed to find these beautiful animals. Diving in the Maldives is always a joy as the fish life is abundant and the diving from the resort was varied and plentiful. The little touches such as coffee, fruit and cookies after the dives, from the boat crew made diving even more relaxing. Plus the help they gave my husband after he hurt his back meant he was able to continue diving.
The manta in call service is a must if you want a guaranteed experience with the mantas. Snorkelling with them is fabulous and even as a diver I would high recommend it. We were lucky to get to do this in Hanifaru Bay with 61 mantas feeding all around us. Truly memorable.
All the staff at the resort work exceptionally hard to make sure you have a fabulous stay and they certainly managed to do that. This was an outstanding holiday and I can’t wait to plan the next trip.

This was our second visit to the FS at Landaa and our third visit to the Maldives overall. Our first visit was to the FS was in January 2013 with an intermediary trip at another, newer, but far inferior resort in the Noonu Atoll. The resort maintains such a high, unsurpassed standard of service that I'm bringing a family party of 7 ppl to the resort in July 2020. It is just plainly that good.
The quality that can't be overstated is the high level of service standard in all of the employees. They go out of their way to make you comfortable, welcome, and appreciated.. But mostly this is not done in any way that seems robotic, scripted, or otherwise. Rather there is a genuine conversation and connection you make with every member of staff you encounter.
The island itself also has the perfect size and land features so that you can the blend of jungle/dense forest, idyllic beaches, and open water areas all in one locale without any sense of it being artificially terraformed like other resorts in the area and competing destinations.
Room recommended: if Overwater, you definitely want a Sunset view or Sunset side of the pontoon... and preferably further out to enjoy privacy. If in a beach villa, I would go for a unit that is on the South side of the island ... And ideally about half-way between the Al Barakat restaurant and the water sports pavilion for the most privacy.
Food and drink prices in the Maldives are very high with the FS being no exception. However, as many others have stated repeatedly, the food quality is fantastic. Planning with their staff before leaving the USA is excellent as they respond very quickly (sometimes instantly) in the 21:00 - 06:00 CST time frame ... And you can text them easily in WhatsApp with a conversational flow during the aforementioned hours.
Highly recommended!

We have just had the pleasure of visiting the Four Seasons Resort at Landaa Giraavaru. Photos do not do justice to this gorgeous resort, nor do they tell the story of how exceptional the lovely employees and the high level of service provided. From the moment we landed at the seaplane dock, we knew that this place was really special and we have traveled all over the world and stayed at many beautiful resorts. We had the chance to experience diving in the Maldives, the spa, the Marine science center, all of the restaurants and there was not a single glitch. Our over water suite with saltwater pool was stunning. Cocktails and gluten free canapés were delivered like clockwork every evening, the housekeeping was exceptional and discreet...meaning that they completely worked around our schedule and we weren't constantly asking them to come back at another time.
Special people that I think did an exceptional job: Stefano, the Guest Services Manager, Angela and Maiko at the dive center, as well as our dive guide Anow, who was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and safe. We saw reef mantas, green turtles, honeycomb eels and abundant soft corals and fish of every color and size. Also a special shout out to Jasmine, the marine biologist who went out with us to educate us about the marine life in the Maldives. We really learned a lot.

What a royal welcoming at FS Landaa !
It all started with a cruise from Soneva Jani. I have chartered a cruise boat from Four Seasons, combining the inter-islands transfer with a dolphin watch and sunset cruise. It turned out to be a great experience, the encounter with the playful dolphins in the middle of the ocean was simply unforgettable.
Upon arrival, we were greeted at the jetty by a committee of 6 to 7 people, management and staff. What a warm welcome ! We felt really that our hosts do pay great attention to make our stay memorable. And it did not stop there but continued throughout our entire stay. All the staff everywhere, at the bars, the restaurants, the pools, the beaches, the recreation center,… everyone was so friendly, always smiling, open, engaging conversation with guests while staying attentive to each and every details. I have experienced numerous luxurious hotels and resorts all over the world but did not find such unique DNA particular to FS.
I stayed in a beach villa on the north side of the island. The villas on this side have been renovated very recently and the result is top, except may be the water leakage at the foot of the window doors when there is heavy rain (not a big issue but should be tackled nevertheless). The resort has 2 main pool areas, one at each extremity of the island. Wonderful places, the view at both, especially at Blu, is simply paradisiac.
The resort has so numerous recreative activities to propose, snorkeling, diving, marine life discovery, yoga, spa,… that we do not have time to be bored during our whole 5 nights stay. Don’t miss the Manta Rays Safari, it could be an unique experience in a lifetime, to snorkel and watch those giants of the sea. We also enjoyed the spa twice during our stay. This is the first time I tried an ayurvedic massage, which is quite pleasant and relaxing, in an open air spa pavillon nested within the lush vegetation of the island. My spouse and daughter, who chose other massages than ayurvedic ones, found the treatments OK but not exceptional.
Food is also very good, especially the breakfast buffet, sumptuous. There are 4 restaurants , which we have tried all: Cafe Landaa serving Asian food, Blu serving Italian cuisine - where you can also book a special set menu imagined by 2 Michelin stars Chef Gaetano Trovato, Al Barakat serving lebanese/Middle East food and Fuego Grill.
All in all, it was an amazing stay at FS Landaa, exceeding my expectations. I can only recommend it if you plan to visit the Maldivian islands.

VoaVah Private Island
I would like to share my beautiful experience on Voavah private island at Four Seasons hotel. Each and every minute of my stay starting from the arrival to the island on an amphibian plane was just awesome. The beautiful paradisiac nature is in perfect combination with the top quality service by Four Seasons. I enjoyed everything - design and quality of bungalows, food, professionalism of the service staff, especially manager Areef, quality of the services. The staff was very friendly, responsive and always ready to help. Everything was managed at the highest standards and I was feeling like at home fully relaxed and enjoying this incredible place. I’ll definitely come back here! Many thanks to Four Seasons!

The bungalows are located in the green, right on the sandy beach with direct access to the sea. They are located in a way so that the guests feel privacy and can relax in the beauty of this amazing place. The SPA offers full range of the services provided at the top level. The staff is very professional. I especially liked massage. The food was absolutely great.
I also liked the overall management, especially Areef who supported me a lot all over my stay. I hope to come back there soon.

Just coming to the end of our tenth stay (in 13 years) at Landaa Giraavaru. This fabulous, secluded, barefoot luxury resort gets better every time we come. The highly professional staff are so friendly, and when we arrive it always feels like coming back to visit old friends. This time we arrived to find beautiful, comfortable and tasteful refurbishments to the water villas where we are staying, including an infinity pool that feels like part of the Indian Ocean, and a bathroom that I want to take home. The spotlessly clean villa is very comfortable and stylish, and the team do everything they can to make it perfect - which it is.
On Saturday when we got back to our room the housekeeping team had prepared a lovely message in role petals on our bed, and a beautiful rose petal bath for my birthday. Thank you so much, it was beautiful.
We have dined at Fuego (fish grill restaurant), Al Barakat (Arabic restaurant) and the fabulous ocean atmospheric Blu (Italian with hugely talented new Executive Chef Juergen Kelli) and the brilliant Blu team. All have been superb. Very special also have been the excellent theme nights including Dhoom Dhoom, fabulous Indian buffet with staff all star cabaret, and Samurais of the Sea, seafood night. The highlight was dinner on the beach last night, with a personalised menu put together by the Executive Chef from Blu - Juergen, just for us, and served with great style and panache by Alfrin and the great team at Blu, with beautiful special flowers for us by Nimo. Thank you so much to all the teams who made the evening so memorable and so delightful.
We also went on a snorting trip to another reef on Friday, loved it, so many beautiful fish, and a great feeling of freedom. The staff always take such great care and I feel very safe. They even very kindly get the ladder out for me to climb in to the water, as I’m not as flexible as I used to be. Lovely also snorkelling off the beach around the house reef. There is a huge trigger fish that I like to think is the same one each year, and that we are old friends...
It’s our last night tomorrow, and then the last breakfast at Blu, always a sad day, and the last pleasure before leaving. I’m sure we will be back for our 11th visit. This place, and the people here that make it so special, make it one of the finest places in the world without a doubt.
Thank you to everyone at Landaa Giraavaru for doing such a great job to make this special place one of the best resorts in the world. It’s been a wonderful holiday. See you again soon.

The Landaa Giraavaru resort and property lived up to our expectations in all respects. The recently renovated over water villas (sunset view) were extremely spacious and well laid out, especially the deck area with the very large plunge pool. The natural beauty of the island exceeded our expectations and the logistics of arriving and departure by boat/seaplane transfer were seamless. The F&B program had a great variety of options and accessible wine list (better than our experience at the Bora Bora property).
However, the FS Landaa Giraavaru team really stood out, made our stay memorable and would be the principal driver of a return visit to this property versus trying something new. Without exception, everyone we interacted with was genuinely thoughtful, guest-centric and just down right lovely. A specific shout out to Eddy, Bini, Dia, Rose, Nimo, Felix, Yaumeen and the entire housekeeping team. They did both the small stuff (helping with a swap of bikes) to bigger stuff (helping coordinate a 40th bday dinner) very well. Thank you all for making our holiday and trip so special!

+1
The resort, product quality, location, beach, public areas and the rooms are topnotch. ( bathroom products are beyond organic and deluxe) in accordance with Four Seasons expectations and beyond...
Stayed in beach villa and sunset water villa both are different experiences and fabolous. The facilities and the design is wisely done and there is no doubt about the privacy.
There can be many resorts in good conditions and with good location but service makes the difference and you feel the luxury in every single moment. Here in this resort you will have the best service and recognition. They are like the angels in this fascinating paradise. Staff always oversees your needs, very proactive, super friendly and comes with personalized surprizes, very detail oriented and customized touches which makes you feel royal. The pampering service starts from the airport to the resort...
There cant be a better service on earth indeed.
We had our most special days in this heaven.

Service charge is already included in the bill. No tipping is required.
Yes you need water shoes as the corals can be rough
Sunset would have more sun. But you are not staying in the villa all the time. You can catch the sun at the beach or other pools around the resort.
I am very sorry but i would not dare telling you something i am not sure about. Please contact the hotel directly, they are are fantastic people.
All the best.
Sorry again.
