Property's Favorite Review
At first I thought they must buy good reviews why else would there be only good ones but now that we went there I can say they are true. Everything was just wonderful even before we got there. As I was traveling with my old aunt I asked upfront for proper accomodation and reception answered quick and super helpful. Everything was ready when we arrived although we arrived early in the morning after the short ride from Male. From the beginning I loved everything as everything is made for needs of europeans I guess.
The tiny island is beautifully kept, the lovely gardeners work hard every day and still smile and give you flowers if you ask nicely as our friendly neighbor did.
Our wonderful, super speedy and lovely roomboy Mua always made sure everything was ready when we returned from breakfast and left extra towels every day as requested. He was a great guy like our waiter Hussain who as well always made sure we felt taken good care of, made funny jokes and told some interesting storys. We rarely had to order as he always brought our drinks as soon as we arrived. For us the food was delicious european style. For others it might not be spicy enough but as Germans we do appreciate it as well as the plenty fresh fruit every day. Although at lunch there could have been more choice of fruit. And they always had something vegan on the menu. The cooks at the stations were great guys as well.
As this was our fifth time on Maledives I can compare everything to other lovely islands and so I can say for sure, it was the best so far. Our beach bungalow was great, especially the outdoor shower is perfect to wash and change directly after swimming. The only downside is the vicinity to the neighbors. On one side we had lovely ones, but on the other side there were three women who talked from morning till night and it was quite annoying. So if you want more peace this might not be your choice of accomodation. As the water villas are close together as well it might be quite as noisy.
Now to the most important part-the house reef. It was amazing. I do not know if the isolation during the pandemic helped or the reef is always like that...sure a lot of colorful coral has gone during the last years but it looks like it slowly returns. The marine life was spectacular. So many big swarms, turtles, big reef sharks, nurse sharks, young mantas and rays I have never seen before every day. Yes, normaly you see them sometimes but here it was really every time I went snorkeling in the morning. I do hope it will stay this way!
We once went on a snorkeling trip which was nice. I would have liked it better if we had gone to a little atoll in the ocean, instead we went to another hotel island. But you have to consider the currants so I guess it was safer.
And the spa was wonderful as well so I went twice.
We were very sad to leave and hope after exploring some other Islands we will return some day.

We booked a beach villa for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and I must say It was worth It. View from the beach villa is gorgeous.. The overall experience is extraordinary. The Villa was huge with all facilities. It has a decent sized bed room. Bathroom is fab equipped with bath tub.
The villas open to the mighty Indian Ocean and one can simply go for snorkelling.
However I would advise you to get your own snorkelling gear as the resort is not providing the gear free. They are charging approx 13$ for 24 Hours.
Hospitality was excellent in terms of room service, reception and guidance for anything anywhere in the island..
Some suggestions:
There few points I would like to bring in notice of the resort. You need to improve you room toiletry kits.. nowadays all the resorts provide basic amenities in the room which was missing in the resort.. there were only shower gel, shampoo and body lotion which was also not good.. no shaving kit... I think these are basic things a guest expects in a good resort.

We stayed 3 nights in a water villa after a two weeks cruise. The location is great, the beach fantastic and the bufets so large you can hardly find anywhere. The water villa as furbished with natural materials and had a private terrasse with direct access to the cristal clear water. We didn't expect a modern and top stylish villa, so couldn't be disappointed. Snorkeling at the house reef was pretty easy and I also swam close to a reef shark and saw a few stingrays. The beach was never crowded although the hotel has been fully booked. You hardly saw anyone. The only thing that was not 4 star like was the lack of room service and the fact that you had to go to the bar to order drinks. But in summary the stay was great and we enjoyed our time. Very recommendable.

We went with our two boys (13/17) to Thulhagiri to get some distraction from the COVID blues we got at home. We had a water and a beach bungalow and were extremely happy about this choice.
The Island is rather small but very authentic and we really felt like Robinson Crusoe... Stuff is very friendly. Although being on a small Island they offered a lot from scuba diving, surfing, stand-up paddle, dolphin watching, fishing, etc. and they also had a Gym and even a soccer field (floodlight and artificial turf). Our boys enjoyed every evening the 1.5 h soccer together with the staff members.
Nature is just unreal, the temperature very comfortable (not humid) and the water crazy 30 degrees.
We also had All Inclusive, which was a good choice, as well as our boys, are constantly eating :)).
The food is good (but kind of spicy) that is the only little thing that was sub-optimal. The COVID protection concept was very good and we never encountered any kind of disadvantages... you just need a bit more patience in the buffet cue as you get served. We need a PCR test on the way back which got perfectly organized at 100 USD per person. Mask was only mandatory in the restaurant, but not while walking around on the Island.

Our first time to go to Maldives and all i can say is this a paradise! As soon as we got to Thulhagiri resort, friendly staff were all waiting and escorted us at the restaurant where they gave us some refreshing towels and drinks. They gave us a bit of time to relax a bit while we wait for our rooms to be ready. We stayed at their superior water bungalow villa. The room was amazing! It has a big spacious bathroom. The room itself is so relaxing, you can hear the waves at night and it was a beautiful sound. All the staff were friendly. They have a crab racing games every Monday were you can win prizes ( I won twice so i got 8 cans of beer. Lol) the beach was lovely and clear. One of the best beaches we’ve been. You just snorkel straight away when you go downstairs in the villa. Just have to be mindful if you have kids as they dont have lifeguards. Buffet food was good. There are different cuisines. You can go around the island for half an hour. Lol. They have table tennis and darts if ever you get bored. This is the place to be if you want to have a relaxing holiday in Maldives. It is not far from the mainland. It took us around 25-30 minutes by boat. This is the place to be.

I spent seven nights in Thulhagiri. 5 nights in a beach bungalow and 2 nights in a water villa. Both accomodations were good.
PROS
good reef, on top the corals are extensively bleached, but that is the same everywhere in the Maldives now. Nevertheless the underwater fauna is good both in terms of biodiversity and numbers.
The beach is big and fabulous, very quiet. The resort itself is perfect for those who seek isolation and peace. There are no entertainments aside from minor things every now and then after dinner. We chose the all inclusive formula and i recommend it
the spa is great, expensive but worthwhile. I had three massages and they were all great!
CONS
the excursions that they propose are the downside. We did them all. The hop off to 3 islands was very disappointing. The first one of local poeple was nice but afterwards they took us to two 5 stars resorts.... maybe some type of tourists enjoy it but we definitely did not! I don't go on Holiday to visit other resorts with such short visit time that there was not even the chance for snorkeling.
the snorkeling trip was to a spot that was nice but not better than the reef around the resort.
the dolphin tour ...well we have not been lucky and haven't seen them by the way it's not a sunset tour since you are back to the hotel before sunset.... I hoped that at least they would have let us see the sunset from the sea.

Great place near the airport in Malé. In 15 minutes you sit in a speedboat and after another 15 minutes you are on the island. The resort itself occupies the entire small island, around the bike is 700m, everywhere there is access to the sea and white beach. Great. Accommodation is very nice and food is plentiful. The food is spicy and repeated every day, alcohol good. The staff are reluctant and very formal, no awkward approach. At Covid, body temperature is measured several times a day. The beach is beautiful, but there are no parasols, there are plenty of sunbeds. FOR: distance from the airport, beach, accommodation AGAINST: necessary Allinclusive, prices for drinks are crazy, staff, long waiting time for food.

Just had a wonderful short 3 days 2 nights trip and returned to Thailand. We are a group of 5 people and it was our first time in Maldives. The location is nice with a short 20-25 minute traveling by speedboat. We stayed in Superior Over Water Villas category and liked it very much. Huge bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and a bathtub but the bathroom size is huge and just fine for a family (not too sexy bathroom). If there might be a thing to improve, just the internet connection though as not stable. We bought all-inclusive package and was just perfect with all day dining and drinks. We took the dolphin excursion as well and very good for value, amazing flying that many dolphins, we have never seen. Overall, super happy with this amazing trip. Thank u for the resort team.

Wonderfull island with clear blue water, on one side is deeper and another is calmer great for snorkeling.
We see sharks, mantas and a big diversity of fishes.
Staff is very friendly, we get the room fast immediately(arrive at 10:00am).
Food is delicious, i dont understand the negativs comments. Yeah for lunch is the choice smaller, but enough and for dinner we didnt know what to choose first. So many good meals. Also for vegetarian.
Room very nice-beach bungalow with straight acces to the beach. It was much better than the vila, which is guite far from beach and also the bar. Big bathroom with open shower.
PCR test arranged, no problem(100USD for pers).
If we have the opportunity, we definitely come back.

What a gem!! We stayed in a superior water bungalow and loved every minute of our stay. The acess to the water direct from the balcony was a tremendous plus. We were able to snorkle with many types of fish, sharks and manta rays right off the bungalow. The water was crystal clear and warm. Overall the food was satisfying, although I would of preferred some more local food options.
I had read some reviews that bottled water was expensive or not provided. I did not find that to be the case. Everyday 2 bottles of water were left at the room. And the cost for additional water bottles was not expensive (by New York standards). So water was never an issue.Â
The island is small yet had plenty of space to lay out on the beach, therefore we never fought for beach chairs. The staff were attentive and helpful.
The resort exceed our expecations, 10 out of 10. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a low-key beautiful experience in the Maldives.
