Swooping down to your island resort by seaplane has to be the ultimate way of transferring to your holiday destination. This puts The Maldives at the top of our list for beach holidays, although the atmosphere of the Caribbean was missed. Being met (to the beat of a drum) and waved off by so many hotel staff was a lovely touch, especially as this included the General Manager, who stopped to talk with us at least once on every day of our stay. Most staff were keen to make our time special, especially Alla, one of the customer service managers. We stayed during the week before Christmas and the illuminations were amazing - would be good to keep them up all year round! Having stayed at various resorts around the world, including Dreams and Sandals, this rates as one of the best. However, there were two features that tarnished our stay, If these had not existed, then it definitely would have been THE best. - Too many children and not enough segregation. Perhaps it was exacerbated by the fact that we were there during the school holidays. - Apart from one evening a week, when guests are invited to dine at the the excellent Tamarind Indian/Thai fusion a la carte restaurant, there is no choice but to dine at the buffet restaurant in the evenings. This arrangement is not good enough for a 5 star resort. There are a la carte options at lunchtimes, which is unusual and should be the case for evenings instead. The spa was certainly the best we have ever experienced and if the above factors don't worry you, then we would strongly recommend Lily Beach!…
We first visited Lily Beach in July 2019. We fell in love with the people and the place!! The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay extra special. We returned in November 2020 as we were planning a return trip to Maldives and we knew we had to go back to Lily Beach. It did not disappoint. It was just as good, if not better than our first trip!! Staff were amazing again, food delicious and overall resort is kept to a very high standard. We received welcome drinks and snacks on both trips. We tried the teppanyaki and it was such a nice experience with a very friendly chef & the food was delicious. The ladies in the Spa were very welcoming and provided us with some really nice treatments too (the view from the spa rooms is beautiful). They feed their marine life each evening at a set time which is amazing to watch as the water is full of sharks and sting rays. It’s nice to see them look after their marine life. The have a wall displaying their many awards which doesn’t surprise us at all!! We are hoping to visit them yearly!! Looking forward to going back to Patrice & his team in the future!…
I’ve been to some seriously nice places around the world but this hotel tops them all. Every possible detail was perfect. I’d go back them in a heart beat. Manger Patrice was brilliant and always on hand and Alla the deputy manager gave us impeccable service and was so kind and approachable. Our friends are still out there as they love it so much! We extended our stay by 3 days as we couldn’t bear to leave. However, you defiantly pay the price for the superb experience in both money and kilos 😂 The food was too delicious! All inclusive wine list was extensive and good and tattinger champagne on tap. Aqua bar was beautiful. All round top experience! Free COVID tests before your return and doctor always available if you need any medical help. Flawless experience! Thank you Lily and to our friend Stephen for recommending the resort ! …
The staff was organized and helpful. Everything from our arrival at Male' airport to our departure Covid test we planned out and scheduled. The stay way easy with lots of things to do even the day it rained. The only complaint was the unruly children left unattended much of the time. We would gladly return if Lily offered adults only dates.
We booked our january trip at this hotel because someone reccomended. We asked our travel agency to book and we waited for room type confirmation. We have not got any confirmation we forgot to ask and now we see that we have beach villa. When we checked the villa thats not at all a full villa but is one room with the bathroom outside like 300 years ago. We see that the same price we paid is another type of room and asked for upgrade. Hotel answer was suck it ! you accepted a higher price for a bad room we will not do anything. So be carefull dont book here there are plenty of hotels in Maldives that for the same money will offer you a full villa not half of a room with bathroom outside I was before in Maldives at Four Seasons, The Residence, Conrad so I will do a better review once we get there but judging after everything this holiday will be a failure. So if you want to book now better look for another hotel IMO this hotel is a scam I will come again with a better and detailed review once I get there…
