This was our first time in Maldives so we weren't quite sure what to expect. Things didn't start out too great when we tried to arrange our initial transfer to the resort. We stayed on the nearby Maamigili island to start our trip and had trouble arranging a boat transfer to Vakarufalhi. We were basically told that we wouldn't be...

Seaplane flight and then short boat to the island. Were greeted at the boat with assistance for our luggage, towels, water bottles, and smiles. Luggage was handled from this point on into our room (and same on way out). Great welcome with concierge, information, and ice cream. We were then guided to lunch (due to the hour of our arrival)...

This island the staff the food and the accommodation were fantastic, and we fell in love with the place. We flew with Emirates for the first time and we were very impressed. The service levels were better than with Qatar, who we have flown with several times. Our beach bungalow, number 120, was on the south side of the island,...

We visited Vakarufhali in Mid February 2017 for 12 Nights. We have previously visited Kuredu, Ellaidhoo and Villamendhoo. My Wife and I have roughly 50 years’ experience between us in the Catering and Hospitality trade, many of those operating at the very highest level. That experience assisted us in making a few assumptions in this review. We also had the...

For me this is "heaven on Earth" All inclusive is a must in my opinion, and it is expensive especially with the drop against the Dollar - but worth it. Had a sunset villa - perfect! soft sand within 5 metres and the sea within 25 metres! Your own private loungers and beach umbrella! Safe bathing and snorkelling! Buffet meals...

This was my third holiday in the Maldives, and my third resort. I’ve always chosen water villas, so can make a fair comparison with all – at least regarding accommodation. The villa at Vakarufalhi was definitely the largest I have stayed in so far – very roomy. The general condition of the room was good, but sadly let down a...

The seaplane from Male to Vakarufalhi is a real highlight and the views over the various islands delightful. The resort is definitely a "no shoes" location which is gorgeous. It is small (12 minutes) but if you want relaxation and complete privacy it is great. We do not scuba but we do snorkel and that is great. The beach villas...

The island is very small. You walk round it in 12 minutes. There is nothing to do except sunbathing and relax. There is so many fish especially over the reef. I recommend you go on all inclusive package, the food is very very good and the bar is from 10am - 11pm. There is entertainment at least 5 nights per...

The rooms were luxurious, large and elegant; it was immaculate. We stayed in the beach villa, ocean villa and private pool villa to experience it all under the All Inclusive package. I would definitely recommend staying in the beach villa first and then the ocean villa to get that “upgraded” feeling and to experience true Maldivian accommodation. The beach villa...

Great service, awesome food, nice staff and full of wild life! I recommend the day trips to see manta rays or whale sharks. We were not lucky with the whale sharks though, the island is a delight for snorkeling. Walking during the sunset or just watching the stars lying in the sand after a lovely dinner are things that make...
