My husband and I spent 10 nights at the Park Hyatt Maldives and it was everything we could have wanted. The resort was beautiful, the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The general manager Nicolas made the effort to at least say hello everyday and just check in. Murisa was our hostess, she made everything we asked for, including a beautiful vow renewal ceremony and a Maldivian cooking class happen. There was a bit of a travel debacle on our way to the resort, instead of 2 days it took us 5. Everybody was absolutely understanding and sympathetic to our problems and there wasn’t even a mention of it being a problem that our stay was delayed. We can’t say enough about how incredible the staff was and how amazingly beautiful the resort, beach and water was.
We just had a wonderful stay and were so appreciative of the efforts made to ensure our easy navigation of the covid travel hurdles. Both arrival and return were without delay or confusion and of course the hospitality of the staff, the great food and comfortable villas were just as we've known to expect from our previous visits to the Hyatt Hadadaa. Sadly it's not easy to get there. When planning your trip, avoid overnighting in Male if at all possible. THE MALDIVIAN AIR flight from Male to Koodoo takes about an hour on a Dash 8. The Hyatt arranges all of this for you, and a rep confirms your flight time and meets you on arrival in the Male airport to walk you to Domestic check in and the lounge. At Koodoo you are met and golf carted to the harbor for the 40 min speed boat ride to the resort. It's very comfortable and the staff is helpful and thoughtful. Stepping off the speed boat the staff greats you at a social distance now and the usual dhoni for a welcome drink and brief checkin has been changed to a quick drive to your villa - with a bottle of Champagne awaiting you. All the villas are separate units, some are water front on a pier, we prefer the garden shaded bungalows all have pools of various sizes, great ocean views and beach chaises. We like this place well enough to return time and again - with this last visit for 2 weeks. Everyone has commented on the lovely outdoor showers, nice soaps too. The food is delicious, the diving and snorkeling on the house reef terrific, villas comfortable and nicely finished, (2) nice lap pools, a very passable fitness room/ weight room, yoga classes and marine lectures, very good spa and massages. There are nice pelagic so here, schools of eagle rays and sharks, porpoise. We had good vis, 100' most days, warm water 82 and while there is always current I didn't feel that I was about to loose my mask. For the most part our excellent dive guide got us fairly close to the reef to limit air expenditure to the corner. This trip the warm water forced us to 90' for viewing shark, last time it was a bit cooler and less vis but 80 would have been max. Keeping a close eye on deco is important, ideally have a reef hook and a safety balloon. We're already planning our return visit. Covid note: The staff wore masks full time and they were either vaccinated or half vaxed awaiting the second shot. All guests are pcr tested prior per flight requirements, and do not wear masks. You are temp tested daily and receive a pcr test prior to departure for your flights. They have a Dr. on site who is wonderful.…
What can I say it was even better than we expected and we had high expectations. After reading through everything, looking at (nearly) all social media materials we were already convinced that this holiday would be great - but it was so much better than we could have ever expected. What makes this place so special is foremost 3 dimensions: 1. Natural promise - the whole island is kept very natural (wooden elements, diverse plants (not only plam trees) that offer shade and give a beautiful vibe), safeguarding the reef, local sourcing of food, own water desaltination. It really is a bare food-luxury in accordance with nature which makes it so magnificent 2. People & Staff: Whatever you want you will get it (often even without saying anything) because everybody cares and is highly incentivized to make this your best holiday - from the security personnel, gardeners, waiters, diving center specialists or spa facilitators. 3. Location of the Atoll: The house-reef is amazing, we saw many sharks, eagle rays, the house turtle (Ben), many fish, murein, lion fish only by snorkeling at the house reef (morning and evening are the best times) - I have never seen such diversity so close to a resort but only while sailing individually to very remote places // the diving trips and snorkeling trips where also amazing (from dolphins to big big sharks) this is one of the best places to dive in We are very happy and would definitely recommend anyone to come if you appreciate natural beauty, value service that comes from the heart and look for a place to relax and simply be. We recharged our batteries and took some of the tranquility and natural beauty home with us. We will definitely come again to enjoy the amazing food (especially all the fresh fish), good company (of guests and staff), amazing turquoise water and diverse reef, as well as the amazing hospitality and scenic views. See you soon, George & Alina…
Facilities are top notch and well-maintained. Stuffs are very friendly and helpful, striking a perfect balance between service offering and respecting your privacy. I have my special regards for the diving team. They have made a very enjoyable and memorable diving experience for me, its not just the care and patience in their service but the fun and laughs they have given me along the way. Great personal touch among all the members of the diving center team. Special thanks to Riff and Ibey, and of course my instructor, Ruben.
This property is more than amazing. The food was great even though I had read several reviews that stayed otherwise. The rooms were amazingly large. There are fish, sharks (small and fairly harmless ones), and eagle/sting rays everywhere. They keep the island pristine. If you want to relax and just enjoy life and sea life, then this is an amazing place. However, if you like to do a lot of motorized activities, this is not that island. I personally loved the peace and tranquility and equally enjoy the slow pace.
