I traveled to this resort for my honeymoon. We traveled by indigo flight, which was a pain since the time we booked the tickets. Flight rescheduling, delays, ill mannered staffs we faced them all. We reached MLE airport by 10.30 am and were scheduled for our seaplane at 1.45 pm, wasting a couple of hours due to scheduling issues between TMA and Medufushi. (TMA do provide a complimentary lunch.)Not just that the scheduled flight got canceled and after a long arguments with seaport staff they managed to schedule our flight at 3.30pm. Well, seaplane travel is one thing to experience. After all the delays we reached Medufushi island at 5.00pm.. we were allotted rooms by 5.30pm and we asked to freshen up and be at Vilu bar for snacks. But when we reached there by 6.30pm we did not get any food other than fried peanuts and coffee because the snack time is only till 6.00 another mismanagement by the Resort staff and we ended up paying 252$ (1 day AI package cost for 2) just for 2 coffee, 1 bowl of peanuts and dinner. Things went well from there and we started exploring the beauty of the restaurant, nice food, well behaved and friendly staff (except their Admin manager who seemed to be drunked and was rude during our discussion regarding a free excursion in package). The Dhoni staff is also very cooperative. You will find all types of food but do not expect authentic taste and spellings for it. Lol. Rooms were nice and clean. Water sports are a bit expensive but you could share your life jackets and save 6$ if you dont know swimming and if you know to swim then do not bother. (We didn't know swimming but still we enjoyed at the water sports and activities everyday.) The environment is absolutely pollution free so please try to maintain it as it is. Overall it was a very good experience and we enjoyed the stay and our return by speedboat. I have elaborated more on the bad experiences of my travel and stay so that you have those expected back of your mind. So to summarize, Stay, food, activities, people everything was great. Just beware of those few senseless Indians who misbehave and do not follow basic etiquettes while in resort with many others around.

Myself and my Girlfriend stayed here for 10 nights for our well earned relaxing break. The start of the holiday was a complete disaster thanks to Destination 2 , we had to wait for 5 hours before catching our speed boat to the island after travelling for many hours and it was a experience i never want to encounter again. Its definitely not a ride for anyone especially young children , babies , old people , pregnant women, disabled etc . The speedboat trip was for 2.5 hours and it was rough seas all the way, passengers vomiting most of the way and this hadn't been mentioned to us by destination 2 and the sea is never calm , also life Jackets were issued after 30 mins into the journey and not before getting onto the boat. On route back to the mainland from Medhufushi Island Resort the boat was exspected to depart at 16:00 this was far too late for us to catch as our flight was at 19:00 hrs so no way would we be on time to catch our outward flight to Bahrain , unless we caught the earlier boat which would of meant for us to wait around for approx 10 hours. we informed Destination 2 and the gave us a snotty attitude and didn't take any responsibility at all .I will never be booking a holiday again with DESTINATION 2 ! I then had to book a sea plane so that we wouldn't experience that roller coaster ride again and also so that we were on time for our flight back to Bahrain This was another expense i had to fork out for on top of the holiday payment never did destination 2 offer to reimburse me my $240 . Everyday you would see staff cleaning path ways, shore lines ,of course your going to see seaweed its an Island out in the Indian Ocean lol , however the cleaners were on top of this every day working very hard in 32 oC. Never did i have any expired coke or Fanta bottles, ones inside my mini bar were alway in date and sealed and re stocked every morning the soft drink that were open had been opened by the waiters seconds before placing on the tables. All the staff were very friendly and always would go out of their way to make sure we were happy. In particular Rony ,Morris (Marees) Bar ,Simon (Symen) great young lad who was always smiling. The Europeans American etc would tip. Indians ,Pakistanis would NOT tip . Our house keeping guy was great, always cleaned our room nicely and was always so polite and friendly. Rony was one of the waiters in the main restaurant and always was there for us we noticed he was always smiling and was very quick to approach us every single time we sat down so he could take our drinks order immediately and welcome us . It was my 49 Birthday and the staff made it very special for me ! seating us down in a quit area and decorated the table and not forgetting singing me Happy Birthday, Rony was leading with this and handed me a chocolate cake and made my Birthday very special . I have NO discrepancies with Medhufushi island or the staff it was amazing and we will be booking again for next year .However I'm Disgusted with Destination 2 and will not be booking with them again "shame on you" Thank you to all staff on Medhufushi Island for making my dream Holiday special regards Mr C

Saved up for 2 years to visit this island. What an absolute disgrace. Beach was filthy, subbed outside beach villa was broken and rotten. Food appalling. If your thinking of going stay well clear. Stayed in better 2 star hotels. Bottled soft drinks like Fanta and coke were served with the lids unsealed, definitely not genuine coke or Fanta. Absolutely ripped off. Complaints made to holiday company, manager of the island refused to take any responsibility Would not recommend this island at all, proper run down

Myself and my wife stayed here for 10 nights for our honeymoon. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort. All the staff are very friendly and always go out their way to make sure we were happy. In particular Simon who used to service drinks during the day and sort the sun beds always worked with a smile. Our house keeping guy called Shaheen was great, always cleaned our room nicely and was always so polite and friendly. Juan who worked in the restaurant making the omelettes and fresh naan’s was fantastic; always making conversation and making sure we are enjoying the food etc. Humaid, Rony and Haseem were a few of the waiters who we noticed always smiling and we’re very quick to come to us every single time we sat down so they could take our drink orders. The rooms would do with renovating and are a bit old style, the shower was not the best… lacked any power and was more of a dripping shower than a normal powerful shower. The food choice were good but the vegetarian choices were very repetitive for breakfast/lunch/dinner so after a few days we did raise this issue as my wife is a vegetarian. Since then Humaid in particular used to ask us each time we went for food what we would like to eat and they would make a small portion for my wife. They really went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied and could not fault the staff in anyway they tried their best.

Absolutely brilliant resort. We are still here and it's a fab place to visit. The abundance of sealife is incredible, in 5 days we have seen turtles, sharks, stingrays, tangs, boxfish, pipefish, pufferfish and various other fish without even leaving our water villa. The staff are so accommodating, I cannot fathom how anyone can rate them poorly to be honest! As it was our anniversary they have given us a beautiful cake and decorated our room so lovely, it's truly above and beyond. Yes it may not be five stars but unless you want to nitpick at some extremely minor faults you'd be hard pushed to find a problem here. As a vegetarian I have not yet once struggled for food, if anything I am constantly stuffed after meals! Lots of salad, veg, rice, curries, fresh pasta to your taste, pizza, the list goes on. We have never once waited to be asked for another drink, never had an issue with any member of staff and the water bungalow and all surrounding scenery is just picture perfect. We never dreamed we would have such an amazing Maldives holiday for such an affordable price. We were skeptical about coming in May due to the monsoon season but if anything the breeze has been a welcome relief from the heat and the nighttime storms (only one so far) have been great to watch.

The stay was fabulous. Staff was very cordial. The scenic beauty and serene silence is something to die for. The staff guided us everything on our arrival at the reception. However, there are less vegetarian options for food. I’ll highly this resort to everyone.

Staff is arrogant, they are reciest and do not treat Indian and asian guest well. We have been served with expired soft drinks which is not at all acceptable. Place is nice but I won't recommend this resort. Attaching pic of expired coke bottle for which we were served on 29th April.

Worthless staying here, I am on my honeymoon visit, still in this property and they can't serve breakfast for being 1 min late. Why spend so much money on this property. You can book a decent hotel in Male and stay and atleast have food, staff is also not helpful

Arrived by seaplane which takes 40 minutes We opted for a water villa which was very spacious and very clean. We had our own aquarium just down the steps into the sea! The resort is small, there is one restaurant and one bar. Both were really nice, however it was incredibly hot and humid as they are both outside, they have ceiling fans but they did not really cool anything down. I thought the food was very good with a nice amount of choice. My only complaint was that the salad and desserts section in the restaurant were left out in the extreme heat so I avoided them, the rest of the food was fine with plenty of choice. The water villas had 10 bottles of soft drinks which were replenished every day depending on what you had taken. There was always filtered water left as well. The pool area was nice. There is no bar but there is a waiter patrolling the pool area to get your drinks. My only concern with the pool area was that for some reason they allowed glass bottles and glasses around the pool and there was loads actually on the edge of the pool which in my opinion was an accident waiting to happen. All of the staff at this resort were very welcoming and friendly. Ali, the room boy was excellent. Kris in the Vilu Bar was brilliant and made sure we were never short of a drink or 3! Yes there are more expensive and bigger resorts in the Maldives, butmy stay here. was great Maldives are truly stunning, the ocean is crystal clear and the staff at this resort are simply wonderful.
