I visited Gangehi Island Resort with my family last week. It was an amazing experience and we highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Maldives. We would like to express special thanks to the waiter - Rasel and roomboy - Salim - their service was perfect and they always had very friendly and cheerful attitude towards us. Moreover the hotel has a breathtaking views and a beautiful localization. During our stay there we saw plenty of sharks, stingrays, starfish, turtles etc… If it comes about food it was very delicious and marvelous. In the conclusion we highly recommend the Gangehi Island Resort! 😊

My daughters and I chose Gangehi after much research. It turned out to be every bit what we every dreamed of. After a comfortable speed boat ride, we were welcomed with warmth. Over the water villas are beautifully created and well appointed. The food was exquisite. Cocktails at sunset were mesmerizing. All the staff were caring but ensured privacy. Scuba introduction was a lot of fun. The house reef is fantastic. I am a vegetarian and always found stuff to eat in the buffet. All safety protocols were followed. We left by an early speedboat and the resort was kind to arrange a packed breakfast. A special thanks to Shuha, Manoj, Gil, Fanka and Suresh. Would recommend you highly to our family and friends

Imagine someone feels the need to type a review without even reaching the resort. At first me and my wife wanted to celebrate our honey moon there, we checked their website and it had certain fares for the full board option which we were going to reserve, after checking many reviews on different platforms about "The management being rude, defensive to reviews and unprofessional, the place having cockroaches, the bottle of water is 5-8USD even with the full board stay, buffet is very strict with timing and you can't even have a cup of coffee 5 minutes before the breakfast starts etc..." we decided it might be a good idea to take the All-inclusive offer and ignore the other negative points mentioned hoping it would be good but unfortunately they didn't have the fares of All-inclusive on their website, therefore I e-mailed the resort asking about the possibility of reserving an All-inclusive water villa in the period we wanted, the reply back was that it is mandatory to have a seaplane reservation and a speedboat is not an option (Which I didn't even ask them about and as well had already reserved from Atoll transfer a speedboat to their resort which for sure I canceled later when I decided not to book in this resort), and to check the website if I want to make booking, I thought I missed something in the website so I went to double check, once I checked the website the room that I wanted to reserve already had an increased price of 80USD per night and yet the All-inclusive was not mentioned, so I went back and replied to the e-mail that the All-inclusive offer is not there and why the price got increased right once I asked about the specific room offer, the reply I got back was very stunning for me "Kindly note that All-inclusive rates not uploaded in Online. Kindly note online rates are changing due to the room availability and you have to book the reservation as per the online rates." *Photo Attached* ... Over all it seems like the All-inclusive offer prices is a top secret information that even clients can't know it, or they are waiting for you to get there and either pay the 5-8USD per bottle of water or instead get an insane fare for the All-inclusive, not to mention the lie about the seaplane while it is possible to arrange a speedboat... Apparently all the bad reviews I read were accurate before I even reach the resort, afterall I am very happy we reserved somewhere else All-inclusive with similar fares as the Full-board in Gangehi and the customer service there was more than awesome before I even reach they seemed to be much more professional than Gangehi management. PS. I am waiting for a very defensive reply from the management just like all the other defensive messages written on the other reviews!

The resort is located in an amazing small island not far way from Male (well connected thanks to internal flight) We booked a water villa: large and comfortable room. The resort is very well managed: a combination of professional skills and friendly approach. Quality of food served at the restaurant is very good. We're divers. Therefore, we enjoyed very nice dives planned thanks to the professional people within the internal diving. Highly recommended.

We would never have considered the Maldives for our annual holiday, that must include lots of diving, we have just never felt it was right for us. We usually visit South East Asia, either Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines or elsewhere. But our trip last year was cancelled due to Covid and Maldives was one of the few destinations left open to us. We booked our flights and started to search for a resort/island that would suit us. Cost was not really an issue but we wanted somewhere totally relaxed and informal, did not want a swimming pool as we have one at home and we live the ocean, and also we were looking for somewhere small and friendly. I do not recall how we found Gangehi but we are so pleased we did as it ticked all our boxes. Also important to us is food and wine, and it turned out that the food is good and they even have a decent wine list at reasonable prices, which we made great use of! We did not want an over water Villa as we like to be on the beach but our beach villa far exceeded our expectations considering the price we paid. But most important about Gangehi is the team, they rock!
