What a wonderful resort. From the warm greeting as you step off the seaplane to the fond farewell on departure you are made to feel like a family member not a guest. Our room was fabulous, a senior water villa, 63, overlooking the sandbar, waking up every morning looking out at the sparkling turquoise waters was just a treat. The room was comfortable, lovely and clean, our room attendants were wonderful. Best of all was the lovely patio with comfortable furniture and steps down into the ocean, great for swimming and looking at the fishes. The Manta Restaurant and Alizee a la carte were wonderful, our last night meal at Alizee was spectacular. Totem Bar for lunch is a must, the best fish and chips in the world!! Each and every team member works hard to ensure each guest has a perfect holiday, all are happy to chat and have a laugh, great atmosphere. We had some amazing evenings in the bar with excellent entertainment. We had never been to the Maldives before and were worried being "stuck on an island resort", what if we were bored and the resort was not up to our expectations? There would be nowhere to go. Thankfully, we picked the right place, we relaxed, had a fabulous time and our batteries are recharged. Truly a magical place. Thank you Henri and your fabulous team, hope to see you again soon.…
This was my third time in the Maldives and first time staying at Constance Moofushi. It’s quite simple, I don’t think I’ll ever visit another island. Henri the manager and his whole team are doing a fantastic job and made sure that we had the most wonderful time. Like many people I’ve read the trip advisors comments before coming to the island and I can now only confirm what everyone else is saying : this island is amazing because the staff is so incredible. They made us feel special every single day and they made sure that we had the best holiday possible. When choosing an island in the Maldives one of the crucial point for me is the quality of the house reef : well, we saw turtles, sting rays, eagle rays, eels, black tip sharks and many many fishes just a few meters from the beach. It was just incredible and the staff from Blue Tribe was really helpful and answered all my questions about the reef, currents etc. Another critical point for me is the food. Everything we ate was fresh and absolutely delicious. I eat a gluten-free diet and one of the chefs, Priyantha offered me different options everyday and whenever he found out that I loved something he made sure it was available for me (he makes the best gluten-free chocolate cake ever !). The wines were also exceptional : there are sommeliers on this island who will always suggest the perfect wine pairing depending on what you’ll have for lunch or diner. They have bottles from all over the world and it’s all included. I was born in Bordeaux so my standards are quite high and I can tell that I really enjoyed the wines on Moofushi. I also recommend participating to the wine tasting sessions, we learnt a lot and had a great time. It was our very first time staying at Constance Moofushi, but we felt treated like we ‘ve been coming for many years – and we are so grateful. We would like to say a special thank you to Henri, Priyantha, Madu, Luthi, Sam, Murti, Putra, Daniel, Binju and Angela who’ve really shared their passion for their job with us and showed us what hospitality really mean. We will definitely come back – and in the meantime I hope this review will help anyone trying to choose their perfect island in the Maldives !…
I recently returned from a wonderful stay at Constance Moofushi. I loved everything about the island, and from the second I stepped off the seaplane I knew the experience would be amazing. The rooms, service, food and stunning beaches all made for a dream holiday and I can't wait to return. I want to thank Cici and the rest of the team for making such an effort to make our stay so memorable.
All the five star reviews are spot on. Just returned from a 10 night stay at Constance Moofushi. This was our third time to Maldives first to Moofushi. Highly recommend this island stay. It has everything you could wish for. Fantastic house reef for snorkelling, Luxurious water villa. Dhona thank you for being so efficient at keeping our room so comfortable and being so kind and friendly. Thank you to all the staff everyone made us feel so welcome and you made our holiday so special. Geeth you are an amazing sommelier thank you for all the amazing wine you chose for us and for your company. Madhu, Luthi, Bingu, Hassan thank you for everything. Miles and your wonderful staff at the dive centre thank you . In summary this is a wonderful paradise island highly recommended Henri GM is doing a wonderful job.…
I have visited the Maldives nearly every year (except Covid years) for the last 15 years. This island is gorgeous, real bare foot luxury, with high quality food, drink and service to match. If you like the bare foot experience, this island is a chart topper and I feel is under rated, and I would highly recommend it. Plenty of non motorised water sports, super house reef, an abundance of sea life and lots to keep you busy if that’s what you want. The Gym and Spa are also excellent, very clean and well equipped. The staff are superb, but this type of culture starts at the top, the GM, Henri is highly visible and highly efficient, nothing is to much trouble. The staff I’d like to mention are outstanding: Henri … GM Danial … Executive chef Madu ……. Sommelier Praveen …. Bar tender Adil …..reception Inas….. Bar waiter Maahir ….. House keeping Priyantha …..Pastry chef Sam …..Restaurant Luthi … food and beverages mgr Nass …..Bar waiter Big thank you from my Wife and I for making our Honeymoon very special.…
3 years after booking, location changes & multiple delays (due to more important things going on in the world), we finally got to experience this stunning island with wonderful people. A big thank you has to go to the travel agency for recommending Constance Moofushi to us and we completely understand why. We actually found out during our stay that it is the most re-visited island in the Maldives with a 47% return rate – impressive and for a reason! Arriving in Male having travelled for roughly 20 hours, we were welcomed by multiple friendly Constance Moofushi staff and whisked off to the departure lounge and provided with refreshments. The wait wasn’t too long and eventually we were making our way onto the seaplane & helped on by our barefooted pilots. Having never been on a seaplane before, if they are that relaxed it certainly makes you feel safer. We arrived onto the island and were instantly greeted by a crowd of Constance Moofushi staff who straight away just make you feel so welcome. Idhu, who we could not speak highly enough of was excellent in showing us around the island before taking us to our Senior Water Villa which had been decorated for us due it being our honeymoon – a lovely touch. We found out during our stay Idhu is currently undertaking his management training and he certainly gets our endorsement. The staff really do make the island what it is. Every single person on the island is warm & friendly, this is a testament to Henri, all the staff and the environment they have created. Everyday we were greeted into the restaurant by the lovely Binju. Always smiling, so informative and very friendly. The exact same can be said for Naas in the Manta Bar. It’s people like these 2 that make your stay special. Our villa was great and well looked after by Ifham – always making sure we were okay and if he could do anything for us. Snorkeling was a new experience for us and Blue Tribe were excellent. A huge thank you to Lal who made sure we did not finish the snorkeling excursion until my wife had seen a Sea Turtle. There is so much to be desired about this island. The quality of the food, the wine, the cocktails, the reefs, the excursions & activities, the wine tasting with fantastic sommeliers and cocktail making classes with the wonderful bar staff. The list is endless and although we were there for 10 days, we never ran out of anything to do. Constance Moofushi will always be special to us as it is where we spent our Honeymoon and we cannot wait to one day return to this brilliant place. From my wife & I, thank you so much!…
Lovely island. Henri and his team looked after us from the arrival to our departure. Little touches differentiate this from other resorts such as meet on arrival, private seaplane departure lounge, excellent premium drinks selection, good food, lovely accommodation, friendly staff always willing to help and make your holiday the best it can be. The snorkelling is very good even for non-experienced people, safe and easy to access with a rich variety of sea life. Good sized sharks around the jetty area most days. Some notable staff mentions, Inaas, Nas, Sarey, Sam serving us drinks and food, Nigel the wine sommelier, and Isse the wonderful room cleaner who was excellent providing us with what we wanted for the mini bar and even giving us a small present when we left. A truly lovely guy. With so many islands to explore it is difficult for us to say we would come back, but if we were to return to any island this would be the one. It was an excellent holiday with many great memories..…
We have just stayed 10 nights at Constance Moofushi and all I can say is wow! I cannot recommend this place enough. This was our first time at this resort (6th time in the Maldives), and we truly felt as if we arrived as guests and left as family. I just want to mention some of our highlights below: Arriving at Male: When you land at Male you are met with a Moofushi representative, who helps you to check in to the seaplane and guides you to the lounge. When checking in to the sea plane the lady from Moofushi did it all for us with the sea plane company, we just stood there! Great service from the get go! The lounge was air conned, had lots of nice drinks and snacks which was a nice touch after a long flight! The sea plane is a great experience and something I believe is a great addition to your trip! The views are incredible and you can see many other islands and resorts too! Arriving to Moofushi: When arriving to Moofushi you are met by a line of staff waving at you which is such a lovely touch! The general manger Henri is among them and is great to see such a senior member taking time to welcome you! The water is so clear as you step out of the sea plane and the views are amazing! Ali took us to reception to give us a welcome drink and some Constance flip flops! We loved the idea of the barefoot luxury! He then took us for a tour of the island and answered any questions we had! Our room: We had a sunset water villa and upon arrival it was lovely and clean, the room was very spacious with a lovely outdoor shower and a large deck overlooking the sea, with sun loungers, a table and chairs! We also liked the idea that the mini bar is included in your all inclusive package and gets re stocked every day! Most resorts don’t include this in their all inclusive packages so again it was a lovely touch! The room boy was great, coming 2 times a day to clean your room, and every time leaving it spotless! The villas are all Maldivian style, which we loved! All inclusive package: The all inclusive package is the best that we’ve ever experienced, and we have been to a lot of 5* hotels on an all inclusive basis. There’s no limit to how much you can eat or drink. They offer high brand labels and the cocktails were phenomenal! If there was something you didn’t fancy on the menu you could just tell the bar men what you fancied and they’d make it for you! The wine list is incredible, there’s so many good quality wines to choose from and they have many sommeliers walking around to help and advise you. You also have boat excursions included in your stay which is amazing for an all inclusive package!! The food: The food is some of the best I’ve ever had! They have a different theme on every night at the manta bar, ranging from Asian nights, Sri Lankan, Italian etc. and the food did not disappoint once! It was exceptional all the way through from breakfast to dinner! They truly have some amazing and talented chefs! As we stayed for 10 nights we were entitled to 2 dinners at the a la carte restaurant Alizee. We ate there once and had a great meal, the staff there were also great! We built such a close relationship with the chefs/waiters at Manta that we didn’t book a second night at Alizee! That’s how good their buffet is. If your worried about ‘buffet style’ restaurants please be rest assured that this is not a typical buffet style restaurant. They make most things in front of you and there is so many good quality dishes available! We did not get bored of the food once in the 10 nights we stayed here! The snorkelling/excursion trips: The snorkelling is excellent! On the day that we arrived we went snorkelling to the drop off point by the main pool. We saw a turtle that we stroked, which was an experience of a lifetime, 2 sharks and 3 eagle rays. The following days we saw 4 more turtles, an octopus, more rays and sharks and some colourful fish! If you love snorkelling like us you won’t be disappointed! We did the dolphin cruise and sandbank trip which was included in our stay. The highlight was the dolphin cruise as we were lucky to see some dolphins! We would definitely recommend this and even if you don’t see dolphins it’s a nice sunset boat ride! Spa: My daughter paid the spa 2 visits and she said it’s one of the best messages she’s ever had. The spa treatment rooms are all overwater so you have a view of the sea during your massage! She had a lady called Reni who she said was the best! The staff: I have left the best part of our trip till last. I always say the staff is what makes a hotel and the staff here are second to none and some of the most friendliest, loveliest people we have ever met. They take such pride in what they do and is so nice to see how happy they are here at Moofushi. They kept telling us how they’re a family which is such a sweet thing to hear from a staff member! We have truly made some friends for life with the staff here, they feel like family. We’d first like to give a special mention to Priyantha. He is the head pastry chef, who makes the most amazing ice cream and deserts. My daughters gluten free and he made her whatever she’d like gluten free from pancakes in the morning to gluten free pizza at lunch and a gluten free chocolate cake at dinner. He is so skilled at what he does and takes such pride in what he makes. Not only is he so talented at what he does but he is a great guy! Although he’s a chef you’ll find him walking around the tables to make sure that guests are happy and put a smile on anyones face! We hope to visit him in Sri Lanka soon when he returns home! We’d also like to give a special mention to Ruwan who is one of the main chefs. He makes the most amazing curries (the best we’ve ever had) and is so skilful in what he does! He even enters competitions he’s that good! We also did a cooking class with him (at a supplement price) to learn how to make his world class Sri Lankan curries! We would definitely recommend that you do a cooking class with him! Again he always has such a warming and lovely smile which makes you feel so welcome! Special mentions to Dinesh the sommelier who kept us topped up for 10 days! Sam the main restaurant manager was great and so helpful, nothing was too much to ask for! The list goes on and we cannot thank you all enough, you really made our holiday! Luthi the food and beverage manager checked in the whole time and is a great guy! You will see him running in the morning if you are up early enough…he even did a 22k run one morning on this small island! Don’t be fooled by Henri the general manager… even though he looks young enough to be my son he runs a great resort with amazing staff and I have struggled to find faults on our many chats with him as he is always around and is very approachable and nice to talk to! Overall we had one of the best holidays we’ve ever had, which was really made by all of the Moofushi staff! We are already planning to return next year. We would recommend this to anyone!…
We have recently returned from 12 nights on Moofushi and I can safely say it exceeded our expectations in every way. My husband and I took our two children (aged 10 & 11) over the Easter holidays. Having previously both worked as scuba diving instructors we wanted to take our kids somewhere where they could experience excellent snorkelling and learn to dive in premium conditions. Moofushi’s house reef was one of the reason we had chosen this location and it was extremely beautiful! Within hours of arriving we had encountered a turtle, blacktip sharks, moray eels and even an octopus! The fish numbers are vast with huge numbers of different reef fish and some beautiful larger pelagic such as blue fin trevally and the odd barracuda. We also saw sting rays, eagle rays and hump head wrasse straight off of the beach. The Food and drink was absolutely beautiful. Daniel the head chef was wonderful and kind enough to share some of his delicious recipes with us! Every evening offered a huge variety of delicious mains and deserts. The staff were all wonderful and very warm and welcoming each day. Massive thanks to Madu for his daily wine tastings and recommendations! His huge smile and infectious laughter was always a joy and we are truly grateful for the attention to detail with every meal. This man played a huge part in making our holiday so special, he is an absolute legend! Also massive thanks to Mookud who was kind enough to teach our son how to play pool and had a wonderful way with all of the children on Moofushi! The staff on Moofushi are second to none and truly create a lovely atmosphere. The house keeping also exceptional, thank you to all the team! Blue Tribe dive school were great, our children both completed their junior open water courses with Miki who was absolutely wonderful with the kids and was also fantastic at liaising to ensure that my husband and I were able to complete several boat dives together whilst our kids were undertaking their training with Miki. The dive sites were exciting and varied. Some fun drifts, great shark numbers and mantas too. We completed our DPV training whilst on Moofushi to enable us to undertake some dives with stronger currents and see huge numbers of sharks in shark pass! That one will stick with us for a long time! All in all I rate Moofushi 10/10! Excellent reef, beautiful dives, delicious food and wonderful staff! We've just rebook for next year!…
Truly a paradise island, this resort is built to be kinder to the environment and so is very natural, laidback and stripped back luxury, its hard to know where the beach ends and the restaurants and bars begin, service is exceptional as was all food and drinks, excellent wine and cocktails. Snorkelling and water sports equipment was readily available with many trips and experiences included in the AI package. It was very clear what was included and what was a cost. Senior Water Villa was gorgeous, so peaceful and private and housekeeping were superb. There were more families than we anticpated, we knew it wasn;t adults only but the literature we read leant itself to an adults vibe with nightly DJ's and no kids facilities, the resort had complaints from families about this and so have moved to being more family friendly. We'd definitely choose adults only next time, kids tended to dominate the pool and games areas so we stuck to the beach and bars. Still a truly memorable expereince, beware that the holiday blues hit hard after this one!…
