The Maldives, or without any question and fantastic and dream location. The water is amazing. The Tranquility is fantastic, and if you are a diver, the diving is on paralleled, we have been to the Maldives before, and had an idea what to expect, but Moofushi as a resort was absolutely fabulous. Very relaxed, food quality and variation every day was just brilliant with something for everyone every day. The service, attentiveness, and friendliness of the staff was really great and truly helped to make a relaxing holiday. A special thank you, also to Roula, who made the experience extra special. I also have to mention the dive centre team who were really great and made the trips more than just a simple excursion. A big thank you to Bea also who got me through several courses and made our time diving a lot of fun as well as educational! A fantastic resort no question fully deserving the review status here to the extent that we are going! Thanks again to the whole Constance Moofushi resort team!…
This hotel was recommended by our travel agent for which we are grateful. This was our first trip to the Maldives but hopefully it won't be our last. Speaking to other guests, many return to Moofushi year on year, so guest with seven or eight visits under their belt are not unusual. The hotel is all inclusive for food and beverages. Upon arrival by de Havilland Sea Otter you are greeted at the pontoon by Mr Ramasamy and senior members of staff and shown to reception. My initial impression of the island was a feeling of Robinson Crusoe, but thankfully, in this case Defoe's Man Friday consists of 240 helpful & professional staff to take care of you dawn to dusk. Don't take shoes. The hotel provide flipflops but walks are sandy, sometime corally, and barefoot is the order of the day. Take all personal toiletries and beachwear in your luggage as the shop is basic with beach clothes, jewellery and hats. The sun is very strong so take sun cream and use it. If you are unwell, the lovely Dr Hari is on call. The food is amazing and varied There is something for everyone and chefs take pride in their work. Tip; take a note of names of staff who go the extra mile as the hotel has an encouraging rewards system, so praise goes down really well. They do their very best to make everything perfect. We took a water villa and it was lovely to wake up to the sound and sight of the sea each morning and it is possible to snorkel off your personal steps, though there is a strong rip so do not underestimate currents. There is an amazing home reef teeming with fish, (watch those Titan triggerfish), and it is like swimming in a tropical fish tank. The dive centre is very professional. In the room, towels were fluffy and replaced daily, and the bed was the most comfortable I have experienced, since it was really comfortable with good pillows and lovely cotton sheets. Very clean. There are tea and coffee making facilities but you might need to ask for milk as only cream seems automatically provided. The Mini bar is complimentary and is replenished daily with snacks, water and wine. The Mantra bar serves the main restaurant. There is minimal evening entertainment a few evenings a week, and teenage guests may become bored if not exhausted by their activities during the day. Most guests repair to the Totem bar by the pool for lunch or for a drink after dinner to look at the sea or chat with other guests about the day under the stars. These quiet evenings, feet in the sea with drink in hand were magical. It can rain! Heavily! but brollys are provided. Special thanks to Binju. Thank you Moofushi. A magical experience. We will return.…
Not our first time to the Maldives but the first to this resort, and it will not be our last. Since arriving home we have tried to find a negative comment to make and have failed miserably. This holiday was everything we hoped for and more. The friendliness of everyone we met was sincere, the rooms clean and well appointed and the facilities overall were great. The food offering was absolutely amazing and imaginative and the quality of the wines on offer in our all inclusive package were superb. Sadly the weather was on the windy side so we didn't take advantage of any boat excursions and it also meant that we could only snorkel on the arrival jetty side and in front of Totem bar once each during our stay, which was disappointing. The tide was too strong for us and also the visibility poor. Snorkelling on the Honeymoon pier side, however, was calm and safe throughout. At first we were a bit disappointed with the reef, having read other reviews lauding the quality of the fish and corals. The fish were there, fantastically coloured parrot fish and some of the largest Titan trigger fish we have ever seen, but we had expected more from the corals. That said, on closer inspection we were excited by the amount of regeneration taking place. The farmed frames are growing well, but it was the natural regrowth that was impressive. In a talk by the resident marine biologist we were given insight into the steps being taken to protect the reef and the environment around the Island which gives us great hope for the future. It may take several years before the corals are back to their pre-tsunami splendour but we sincerely hope we are able to return to see progress. If you are contemplating a trip to Moofushi, do it. Everyone does whatever they can that is within their control to make sure you have the very best time, and take negative criticism very personally. If you have a complaint, make it at the time, don't wait until you get home. Problems will be addressed and sorted out promptly. To everyone at Moofushi, thank you for our most wonderful Maldivian holiday yet, we will return.…
The journey to the island by seaplane is stunning and the island is beautiful. Staff are lovely and the food amazing (so many options). We had a Senior Water Villa (72) which had great access to the reefs - request one over water as some are over sand due to the shifting sands over time. The beach is beautiful with access to SUPs, canoes and other non motorised kit. There's a great little beach hut that has drinks and snacks available all day long. Everything was so laid back on the island - we heard the island was full but it certainly didn't feel that way. We booked some expeditions and saw whale sharks (a dream come true), manta rays and a turtle. Our only disappointment was the whale shark expedition. I am not allowed to duplicate my comments on this and the dive centre listing apparently so please go to Moofushi Blue Tribe Diving to see my comments.…
We have just returned from an 8th annual visit to Moofushi, our wonderful ‘2nd home’, and sitting here now reflecting upon what to say I thought I’d take a few minutes to look back at my previous Moofushi reports; just perhaps to find a different approach for this report or something new to say. Having done this, I now find myself lacking in ability to find the adjectives in which to re-describe what I and others have already said about this truly magnificent and beautiful heaven on Earth. Therefore, what can I say? I thought perhaps I would attempt to express my feelings by reflecting upon the people that made this, our 21st Anniversary visit so special, so here I will give it a go. Having disembarked the long-haul flight, negotiated the chaos of passport control and collected our luggage we were delighted to be then greeted by the welcoming words and very familiar faces of Zuhair and Adhil. Their smiling faces and conversation immediately lifted our emotions and we now felt we had finally arrived. In no time we were guided over to the new Constance lounge, quickly onto our seaplane and 30 minutes later splashed down in the crystal blue waters surrounding Moofushi. On entering the airport arrivals we were greeted by the Moofushi welcome team led by Adil the FOH Manager and at reception given cold towels and refreshing drinks, our shoes taken, and our bare feet exposed to the beautiful powder like white sand. It was here we were reacquainted with Mevin the new GM who we knew from our previous visit back in 2017. He welcomed us with his gleaming smile, impressing upon us a genuine welcome and personal concern that he and his staff would do everything to make our visit as memorable a one as possible. We chatted with Mevin and his assistant Roula many times during our stay and on each occasion they were simply superb, always interested to know how our stay was going and if there was anything at all they could help with. This visit was the first without our son and it was much centred around diving, spa treatments, island experiences and relaxation so I will try to address each in turn. The Bluetribe team was led on this visit by Enzo with a mix of familiar and new faces. Each morning I took to the Dhoni for 2 dives and with numerous fantastic dive sites being close by was always back in time for lunch. I enjoyed expert guidance from ‘King’ Jalle, ever chatty Arti, new Instructor Bea and JD who whilst always respecting the diver’s safety brought fun and enjoyment to each diving experience. It being February all the wonderful sea creatures turned up, Sharks, Eagle Rays, Sting Ray, Napoleons, Turtles etc.. with Mantas in abundance not only at Manta Point but many other locations. I dived with DPV’s on quite a few occasions and crossed their fabulous shark pass many times often surrounded by literally hundreds of sharks, an unforgettable experience. I also wish to acknowledge the hard work of the dive boat crew; it was great to meet Niyaz and Zim again, but this time it was the volleyball referee Ahmed who assisted me expertly with my equipment. Enzo, thank you to you and your team, you certainly deserve your ranking of the number one Diving centre in the Maldives. My wife was delighted to see that Yuden was in residence at the Spa and she treated her to some wonderful relaxing and rejuvenating massage experiences. She also came to work on her day off to be part of our anniversary couples massage where I was attended to by the expert hands of Reni who well and truly loosened up the knots in my back and shoulders while I lay watching the reef fish through the glass floor. The couples massage was so good we just had to do it twice! One of the experiences we had not tried before was the beach cinema (Cinefushi), where a huge screen is set up on the beach just for ourselves and we watch our selected movie lying back on bean bags drinking champagne, eating fruit, popcorn, and ice cream! I must admit for me it was difficult to give full attention to the movie partly because of being transfixed by the stars above but also because I was so relaxed and comfortable that I found myself drifting off to sleep! Thank you so much to Azzam who set up the amazing experience and attended to us throughout, the lemongrass and chocolate ice creams were beautiful. We had previously always dined at the Manta restaurant as we like to try small portions of many dishes and because our son can be quite a fussy eater. However, we decided for the first time to experience the Alize restaurant and were so glad we did. The waterside table setting beneath starlit skies was majestic, with phosphorescent plankton lighting up the shoreline as wave ripples met the white sand. The 3-course meal was really a seven course a la carte event conducted and delivered by the expert team of Navee, Azey and Rittey. It was a wonderful meal and one we shall certainly repeat again. In dining at Manta restaurant we had many memorable experiences. The night before our anniversary we dined on the veiled private lagoon pontoon organised by Hassan who remembered us from previous years and attended by Hasim and Sam, an unforgettable event. On our anniversary night a private table was beautifully decorated and set up at the water’s edge, I suspect again organised by Hassan. Other evenings we mixed up our location between the beachside tables or on the wooden decking overlooking the lagoon with the lovely Binju usually welcoming us and guiding us to our table. Each evening the meals were buffet style based on a different worldwide theme but also with a main course live cooking station and enticing desserts for my wife and cheese selections for me to enjoy, be prepared to put on a few pounds! On return to our villa one evening a surprise in-room experience was set up for us to make our own cocktails again I suspect this was Hassan’s doing cannot be sure. If not him then thank you so much whoever organised it as it must have taken a lot of effort to co-ordinate our arrival back at the villa with a full ice bucket of un-melted ice cubes! When poolside we kept ourselves fully hydrated with wonderful non-alcoholic cocktails from the Totem bar served usually by Fonseca behind the bar or from Praveen on the sands. On my first visit to the Totem bar I had hoped to reacquaint myself with Gopan who I have known for years but didn’t find him there. However the next night I was delighted to meet him at the Manta bar where he was now working as supervisor. It was lovely to meet his familiar face each day and exchange a few words as I passed through the Manta bar each day on the way to my diving trips. As I mentioned earlier the team insisted that no problem was too small raise and I only mention the 3 tiny issues we had here to acknowledge the speed and professionalism in which they were quickly addressed. The first night we wished one more soft pillow, we informed Jimee at reception and it was at our room before we knew it! The second day we found the outdoor bath plug would not seal, a new plug immediately was installed and finally another day our door cards failed to open our villa door – hey presto a new door lock was fitted by Raaif. All issues quickly and expertly resolved. Thank you to the Moofushi reception and maintenance teams for your fantastic work. I realise that in the text above I have given acknowledgement to many people, but as my wife related to Mevin the night before our departure we would like to recognise here the many unseen team members who quite obviously work so hard behind the scenes to make each guests visit such an unforgettable one, thank you all so much for your hard work and dedication it has not gone un-noticed.. In closing it would be remiss of me not to give special mention and thanks to our room boy Ifham who not only each day miraculously removed every grain of sand from our villa but decorated our room so beautifully for our arrival, anniversary and departure nights. His creations were wonderful, and it was so sad to have to dismantle his artistry each time in order to get into bed! Thank you so much for the cherished memories. So here I must end and start counting the days down till we meet again next year.…
From the moment you step off the seaplane you feel you are in Paradise. We were welcomed by the lovely Idhu and given a tour of the island. First part of our stay was a beach villa. We loved having what felt like our own area of beach right outside our garden. The sands and turquoise sea are everything we imagined and more. The service is absolutely amazing and everyone is so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing ! It felt like lots of separate restaurants within the buffet area. Live cooking stations cooking fresh while you wait aswell as the vast array of dishes on display. So much choice and wonderfully prepared. Special thanks to Mani for introducing me to tuna steak. The totem bar was perfect for having a cocktail and lunch or afternoon tea. Great food and great service. The all inclusive here is superb. I have seen others say about what is included on other islands and what is not but all our food and snacks where included. The mini bar topped up daily. The range of drinks and the standard of wine available is outstanding. The amount of space and so many sunbed areas means you can be as private or as sociable as you want to be. If you want you can feel like you have the whole beach to yourself 🏝️. Even with 100% capacity it really did not feel busy and you could feel it was your own paradise island. Second part of our holiday was no 78 water villa. The one at the end that i had hoped for. I literally gasped when I walked in and saw the view and the turquoise sea through the two aspects of the villa. It took my breath away. We sat on the deck and watched the fish, black tipped sharks and manta rays swimming right by. Walking down the steps into turquoise heaven, you can literally walk out and all round the water villas thigh to waist deep and right out into the ocean as its such a great shallow area around them. We had congratulations on our bed in both villas for our silver wedding anniversary, I didn’t get the cleaner name of number 10 on feb 1st but thank you to him and Ifhan for leaving the villas immaculate each day and for the decorations on the bed. Every single member of staff deserves the hugest of thank yous. So friendly and welcoming. I have never experienced service like this. The managers mingle and want to help with any requests or problems. We literally couldn’t think of a single thing we could improve on. All the waiters were simply great - Shiraz got to know us and would know where we would want to sit and was so attentive. Idhu continued to check on us throughout and make sure all was ok This really is such a relaxing resort. Its in an idyllic setting which exceeded any expectation of paradise we had. We thought this would be a once in a lifetime trip but Maldivitus has hit us and we will try anything to return here again. As its perfect I really don’t see the point in gambling on a different island now. It delivered everything and more. You can make it as sociable or as private as you wish. This island caters for it all. The Maldivian theme night was great and thoroughly enjoyed it but we loved finishing our evening meal , having a cocktail at the totem bar in the way back and enjoying the sound of the ocean beneath our decking. Also an open air bath with the light twinkling and looking at the stars, and the sound of the ocean underneath was fantastic Still feel on cloud nine after this wonderful 10 night holiday in paradise and cannot recommend this resort enough Shukuriyya Moofushi xxx …
We have just arrived home from a nine night stay at the Constance Moofushi Maldives and we don't know where to start in our raving review of the resort. It is, simply said, a blissful experience and we highly recommend to anyone who is considering a trip to The Maldives to take the plunge -- dive in! -- and book with the resort. In our best attempt at a truncated review though on the other hand not wanting to miss relevant points to any reader, we share:- - the accommodation is wonderful (we stayed in a senior water villa, though saw others which were beach and water villas and can say they, too, are delightful!). The care and consideration which has gone into the suites and their positioning for privacy and making it feel 'home away from home' is remarkable. - the facilities -- spa and fitness centre -- provide sensory enchantment, albeit fair to say we preferred the former more than the latter as we biased ourselves to the holiday spirit - the water excursion offers are excellent (snorkeling, swimming with the mantas or whale shark, being on a sand bank in the middle of the Indian Ocean, etc). - the property is extremely well laid out, with ample space so no one is ever feeling that there are loads of guests -- the contrary! (loads of beach space and glorious snorkeling abounding from them). - regarding food and beverage, well, first of all, let us say that the dining is incredible. Even for those who are not big buffet fans, we can assure that you may well become one after being at the Constance Moofushi! Moreover, if one loves wines, you will be over the moon with the options. All these points said, one finds one's cup runneth over with pleasure. But, trumping all of that is the service delivered by the staff. The team is truly stellar, across all aspects of the resort from the housekeeping to facilities cohort, from the front and back of house restaurant staff to the bar crew, from the reception and office staff, from the water excursion, spa, fitness and gift shop team, from the maintenance and grounds members. Professional and warm in equal measure, this is a team who works collectively to create something very special for guests. This is a truly well managed resort which delivers for guests. We cannot recommend highly enough The Constance Moofushi Maldives. We will be back! …
Moofushi is simply wonderful. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon 14 months ago and, like a lot of people on here, assumed it would be a once in a lifetime trip but within a few months of returning home we had booked to return the following year! Oh and how happy we did. Last time we stayed for 7 nights in a water villa and this time we spent 10 nights in a beach villa - it was great to get an experience of staying in both. Whilst there is no replacement for the luxury of walking into the sea from your own veranda, we really loved the beach villa as we spent much more time in and around it than we did in the villa. The open area showers are also magical. In a resort where everything is so exceptional, it's hard to pinpoint certain highlights but I will do my best: Food & wine: Exceptional, especially for all-inclusive. The changing menus are so great and provide such a range of autentic food. Our favourite nights were Indian & Sri Lankan (excellent), Asian fusion, catch of the day and Italian. We ate at Totem every lunchtime as we just love the setting and the food options. For any negroni lovers, I'd recommend Moofushi's Coco Negroni! The wine selection is amazing and we had Nigel, one of the sommeliers, to thank for making such excellent suggestions for us and also for being so great to chat to. Excursions: You can't go to the Maldives and not explore what's under the surface of the water, and Blue Tribe are a perfect base for this. We actually returned to Moofushi in Feb purely to go snorkelling with manta rays and we were lucky to see one! Incredible experience. We also did the snorkelling extravaganza, which is a must, and our guide Lal is just excellent and such a genuinely nice man. We also did the sunset dhoni ride one evening which was simply stunning - a unique, relaxing and romantic experience. We did the sunrise yoga session one morning which was great, although I felt it could have done with being an hour earlier to have got the best of the sunrise and also been before it got very hot!! Spa: I can't imagine more of an idyllic setting for a massage really and the treatments are excellent. My massage therapist, Khan, was brilliant and also make a 'happy birthday' message in palm leaves on the bed for my arrival! It's wonderful to stay at somewhere so luxurious but also that cares about the environment. We went on the 'back of house' tour one morning which was fascinating and well worth doing if you're interested in the runnings of such a hotel. Finally, we were lucky to be there for one of the management cocktail parties. It was stunning and felt like we were at a wedding! I've never been to a hotel where the staff make such an effort to get to know their guests. Other staff, not mentioned so far, I'd like to thank are Adil, Naas and the housekeeper of villa 7 whose name I didn't get. Everyone is so wonderful and these are just a selection of the fabulous team. I'm sure we will be back again. Moofushi will always hold a special place in our hearts.…
This resort is fantastic in every way. Service, food, locstion . It is a dream. We stayed in a Water Villa for 6 nights. Beautiful interior, best beds ever, fantastic Terrace with steps into the sea. All inclusive package. A lot of food activities here.
I simply cannot fault Constance Moofushi. From the moment we arrived at Male airport we were looked after to the highest standards. The island is small and beautiful and the over water villa was spacious and the bed super comfortable. We ate in the buffet restaurant each night even forgoing the a la carte meal on our last night so we could say farewell to the wonderful restaurant staff that looked after us so well. The choice of food and drink was very good indeed with a lot of variety and generous measures! We took a Sri Lankan cookery course with Susa which was great fun and they set up our own table and chairs on the beach to eat what we’d made. The dolphin spotting trip didn’t give us dolphins but maybe something even more special; a super pod of pilot whales that swam with the boat for about 40 minutes. The staff were generous their time, nothing was too much trouble and they did it all with a smile. The majority of other guests were British couples over 45 and as there was no children’s club there were, thankfully, only a handful of children. All water sports are non-motorised so it was quiet apart from the seaplane drop off and picks ups but they are so great to watch, you don’t mind the odd disturbance. The snorkelling was very good and although you can see the bleaching of the coral, there was still plenty to see in the house reef and over the drop zone and lots of other things to do if you fancy (pedalos, kayaks, windsurfs etc). We’d like to particularly thank Madu, Maiz,Susa,Gina and Priyantha and I apologise for any misspelling of their names. All the staff were just fantastic. If you get the chance to go and are looking for a small, relaxed, wonderful, no news no shoes resort, look no further. …
