I was travelling with 2 adults and 2 children (2 yrs and 5 yrs). Agoda booking policies says "children 0-2 stay for free and 3-11 must use extra bed". Accordingly I booked for 3 adults considering my 5 yr old as adult and 2 yr old as infant. However I was charged for $55 per night for the infant at the time of checkout. I was told that this clause is applicable for kids under 2 years (before 2nd birthday). This absolutely doesn’t make sense as no one is considered as 3 yrs old till he completes his 3rd birthday. I argued but there was no empathy in spite of we staying there for 6 days. Booking condition clearly states that 3-11 years are considered as adult and in no world my kid was 3 years. Upon argument, their response was changing frequently as they started giving reason that you haven’t mentioned in booking that you will be travelling with an infant. I was supposed to fill 8 forms at the time of checkout (4 for maldives authorities and 4 for air suvidha). I tried for 2 hours a night before checkout through mobile and it failed every single time so next day morning I went to reception to request for a desktop to fill the forms, I was told that everyone fills it through their mobile, why it is not working for you. I was surprised for this attitude. Thankfully a night before I intimated them that I might need the desktop (as i faced these issues multiple times through mobile as being a frequent traveler), I spoke with another gentleman at reception who arranged for the desktop. Few pros – resort is clean and maintained. Has a beautiful beach and excellent corals. However rooms are extremely dated (looks like never renovated in last 30 years). Even the electric switches are the ones that you must have seen at your grandparents place. It didn’t bother us much as we anticipated that and spent most of the day on the beaches. There was a good photostop at swings on the beach but is not maintained well, the swing has lot of algae making it look disgusting. Watersport area is extremely understaffed. There is just one person and the timings are morning 3 hours (930-1230) and afternoon 3 hours (230-530). Even within that, if there is an excursion, the person simply has a board flashing that “I will be back at XXX” and disappears. To get a canoe for an hour, I had to try 3-4 times which doesn’t makes sense. Also while signing, I asked for double canoe whereas while taking he suggested me to take a single canoe as my wife was away with kids and it would have been difficult for me to take a double canoe all by myself. So that makes sense. However at the time of checkout, I saw I was billed for double canoe. There is a rate difference for single canoe and double canoe. It is just a matter of 2-3 USDs but reception’s attitude was like you signed for double canoe. Lower level staff was really good (like room maker, individual waiter, cleaning staff, people carrying luggage etc), however senior folks (people at reception, head chefs, person at omelet counter in morning) are very rude and had differential behavior based on skin color (I have seen them behaving much differently with Europeans vs Asians)

I have visited Biyadhoo 4 times with my family. The hotel is relatively old but the nature environment is fantastic. You could easily see beautiful coral, fishes, turtles and baby sharks there. My husband and I got our OW diving license from the island in 2019 and we finally could come back for diving in Nov 2021. It was amazing. I must thank one of our instructors Othmane! In one dive, my regulator was broken, and we war in about 15 meter deep. Water kept pumping into my mouth and Othmane was the first one realized my dangerous situation, helped me to change to my octopus, calm me down and basically saved my life. He is definitely a top instructor! Patient, smart, helpful, most important, he is always looking after us. When we were all good, he just left us to enjoy, but when i did sth wrong, he corrected me immediately. With his help, I not only enjoyed my dives, but improved my neutral buoyancy, learned how to control myself in the safety stop. We were very happy to be there and met Othmane. Hope we could come back soon.

The island is so green with amazing vegetation. Beaches and snorkeling are just great and you can even dive from the shore. Just snorkeling you see turtles, black tip sharks (they are absolutely no dangerous!!!), octopus, eels, eagle rays and millions of colorful fishes. Staff is really friendly and helpful. This is a no-frills place: essential & easy. I found food great with many options - Asian food as well as international. A big THANKS to Coco Diving for the great expertise and hospitality! Ciao Rita & Mau!!!

We had another superb stay at this small resort. The reason for choosing to come again are that the resort offers an authentic Maldivian experience. It is covered by palm trees and other vegetation, which houses many birds and fruitbats. The housereef and shallows are teaming with large numbers and wide variety of fish. This makes it great for snorkelers and divers alike. The food has an Asian core, with superb curries and Biryanis and other dishes, especially on the regular Maldivian days, but als caters for those with other preferences. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and as repeat guests we were given extra special attention. The accommodation is rather simple, but clean. We understand a refurbishment is due soon. This resort is not for people who are into infinity pools and high levels luxury. It is for those who want to feel they are in the Maldives, not a Hilton Hotel. Who want to kick off their shoes on arrival and relax in a natural environment, with the sound of Maldivian Koel birds. Who like staff who serve you with a smile and become friends. We have visited before and no doubt will visit again. This place ticks all our boxes. Simply the best. Lesley and Peter, Oxford.

One of the nice and affordable place. New year eve was nicely arranged. Should have kept food counter open for little more longer. Drinks unlimited, but would be much better if more variety would have been kept. New year celebration was not much happening, No fire works, but service and ambience is very nice. Open air dinner buffet. I would love to go again
