I stayed a week at Limburn House and was impressed with everything. Richard and Carol are wonderful hosts and did everything to make my stay enjoyable. The room was clean and serviced daily. I had a very comfortable bed and slept very well. The breakfasts were excellent with fresh fruit, cereals, a cooked breakfast and toast all served to one's liking. I was also given excellent advice on where to eat in Maldon on an evening. Although the weather was changeable for my stay, this was more than made up by the top class accommodation.
I stayed here for one night and must say this gem of Maldon is the perfect place to stay. The B&B itself is super clean and the rooms are immaculate. Carol is so accommodating and even gave me a lift to the local supermarket to buy provisions for my evening. Whilst I was there two young men were also staying and Carol also offered them a lift. The breakfast is more than generous and a great selection on offer. I only wish I had another reason so I could go back and stay again. Well done Carol and Richard, you work so hard and it shows!!!
From start to finish I could not recommend this B and B more. Absolutely outstanding. Owners were super lovely. We went to Maldon for a wedding and upon arrival we was going to get a taxi but the owner offered us a lift into town which was super nice. Breakfast was awesome. Room was clean and spacious. As we arrived back in the evening the owner had put the fan on for us and opened the windows as it was a super hot day and evening. Blown away by their hospitality.
I stay at Limburn House most times I am working down in Essex as I have been doing for over 4 years now, and find it an ideal place to relax and unwind after a long drive down and a day in the office. Carol and Richard are the perfect hosts, always so welcoming and friendly and the place is kept spotlessly clean. I never fail to get a good nights sleep and there's always a hearty breakfast to look forward to in the morning! You really can't go wrong staying here.
Room was fresh and well aired, as was the bedding and towels etc. Had 3 comfortable nights. The breakfast was resplendent with cereals (wide selection), fresh fruit a plenty, toast/crumpets, milk, fruit juice and coffee/tea. The full English breakfast was well cooked as was the poached eggs. The hosts were Carol and Richard and they went out of their way to help with the bags. If you have difficulty getting up stairs they have a chair lift for your benefit. Car parking off road in courtyard. Easy access to town and the promenade, for those that like a stroll to look at all the fascinating churches and buildings. All steeped in history. I would recommend this B&B to anyone which I have done to my family already. Breakfast at the table looking out on paddocks with horses eating and playing is the perfect setting along with an abundant bird life. Full marks for Carol & Richard.…
