This little hobbit house is very interesting: there are no similar rooms. Due to a minor problem we had to change our room and got to see the whole package. The best part in this posada is its breakfast though: the owner makes her own jams and by in Argentinian standards, the breakfast has very good variety and content. We... More

This posada is in the quiet side of town. El bolson is small enough to walk. I'm glad that I have chosen this posada, beautiful place, very beautiful room in the corner I have with two big windows on two sides. Gustavo and Sylvia are good host. They keep the posada and rooms very clean tidy. Very luxury for trekker... More

Lovely place with beautiful roses in front of the house. This beauty you also find insight with the rooms, the breakfast and the hosts Silvia and Gustavo who are extremely attentive. The room and bathroom were very clean, you will find a safe, hangers, reading light... Absolutely spectacular is the customized breakfast. We only said that we prefer salty breakfast... More

We stayed three nights with Silvia and Gustavo who are very attentive hosts. The Posada is central, easy to walk to and from the centre of El Bolson and a very good restaurant is just a block away. There is also a first class wine store in a shopping centre nearby. The breakfast was exceptional; we had freshly baked brown... More

Great room, great view, great people. I had intended leaving El Bolson earlier but got stuck by a religious holiday - all bus seats out of town were full for several days - so I stayed for the extra time at La Posada de Hamelin, and very glad I did. The room was clean and comfortable, the building was like... More

The room was fantastic. An artistic design, with wooden beams and hobbit like architecture. We had a great night's sleep. Perfect. The bathroom was fine, except that we needed to ask for the bath plug but the owner was not always there. The breakfast was very fine indeed, with generous portions. Impressed with the coffee. But I felt this place... More

This is the place I swore I wouldn't review because I wanted it kept secret. But one of the other guests advised that it was already revealed, so here I am. I stayed two extra nights in El Bolson just because the Hamelin was so comfortable. It has no conceivable faults. The rooms are wonderfully cozy, the owners are like... More

La Posada is a nice, centrally located place in El Bolson. My wife and I usually stay in hostels which can be just as good as more pricier B&Bs, but it was difficult to find a hostel in El Bolson that didn't have some horror story about bed bugs. Positives: The owners, as other reviewers have said, are very nice... More

Despite arriving some 12 hours later then planned at 2am due to issues with the flight, there was no problem. The following morning we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast before going trekking in the surrounding area. Sylvia provided us with some really great advise about things to look out for at this time of year, and without asking offered to hold... More

We came across this place by chance, although it is listed in a lot of the guide books. We arrived in El Bolson to torrential rain and had to find a bed for the night. We stayed for five days! The Lonely Planet is spot on with this one. Rooms are a really good size, all with loads of character... More
