My husband and I spent several nights in the hotel in February. We had an 'executive room' in the new section. There was a small sitting area with a TV that barely worked (but did have BBC News), a very small bathroom and a small bedroom, that did allow access to bed from one side only. Windows have no fly... My daughter had to travel to Bukoba on business so I accompanied her. My room was in the newer wing, on the third floor. The view was astonishing. Although I am not a morning person, I awake in time to see the sunrise over the lake. Breakfast was included. One morning it was a bit bizarre, as the main protein... More

The Kolping Hotel in Bukoba lies on a hill above the city centre. The walk to the centre takes about 30 to 45 minutes. On the way back you may want consider a taxi or a piki-piki (motorcycle taxi). The hotel seems to be popular with the international aid & development crowd. It also serves as a conference venue for... More

This place has two buildings. We stayed in double room suit for around 35 US with breakfast. Room was simple, nice, clean with a fridge. WIFI was not really working. Car can be parked in front of entrance. I did booking via email but nobody replied. Luckily the room was free to be used.

Kiroyera Tours planned an intensive tour for our group of 5 adults. The tour was in 3 parts: 4 days stay in Bukoba, 6 days Safari in Serengeti national park etc., and finally 5 days at Zanzibar. Every single day was a holiday of its own. All accommodation and airplane bookings to our full satisfaction, perfect matches. All parts of... More

20 US for room with view of the Lake Victoria from a small balcony, hot water in the shower, good breakfastbuffet. You do get much for your 20USD. When having lunch or dinner - make sure you are not in a hurry. It takes one hour to get the food- but meanwhile - the view of the lake is marvellous... More

I liked this place and enjoyed the formal reception service of women in suits. Coupled with the well built older room furnishings, it gave a feeling of old world reliability, security and charm. I had several room options but chose a single room in the older building, which appealed. It was small, but adequate - had the feeling of an... More

I haven't stayed in the any of the rooms but, I have eaten here on many occasions and it's a great place to eat. The outside dining area is great, the staff are very friendly and it is a very relaxing place to have an evening meal. The food is tasty, reliable and they seem to have everything available listed... Only ate at the outdoor restaurant and the food was great as long as it didn't need cheese, milk or butter. We had some milk in the car so gave it to them which they appreciated. Service is a bit slow but so friendly and pleasant and heh what's the rush with a location and view like that! Found the... More

That may be nicest thing about this hotel. Rooms are very basic. Although they advertise wifi availability, it pretty much does not work. Hot water lasts only for a few minutes, even if you have the hot water heater on for an hour. There is no a/c but there is a fan. I didn't leave the windows open at night... More
