One night stay with a fantastic dinner with pairing wines. The service was great without being obnoxious. We were upgraded to an even better room, facing a cute courtyard. Very calm, no bad surprise at all. Highly recommended.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful with delightful bespoke rooms, a stunning courtyard and fantastic services. Their restaurant is expensive but the food and service magnificent. If we were ever in the area again we would definitely chose to stay.

Stayed here for two nights whilst travelling to the south of France. Feels like a family owned place, the check in was very fast and friendly. Parking space is located behind the property and you will need the staff to show you where it is . Stayed in a small suite with a balcony overlooking the courtyard.Lovely room. Room was no better than a Mercure. It was small. There wasn't a desk. The chairs were uncomfortable. Bathroom was modern and fine. Front desk reception not well covered. Not much charm other than the courtyard. Good breakfast (not inexpensive). Good parking on site.

I stayed at The grand hotel for just one night on a business trip. I can't remember the last time I had such a memorable hotel stay and I would love to visit again for pleasure. The room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable, and the service and decor and comfort of the lounge area was first rate! Breakfast was...

We made the mistake of buying a package which included both accommodation and a meal in the hotel's Michelin starred restaurant. In buying such a package you would think that a small saving may be made on the purchase of the combined components of said package. Oh no, in fact, having added up the cost of each individual part of...

Room size was fine, however, attention to detail was poor. The photos made the rooms look attractive but in reality they were a disappointment. The restaurant food for dinner was delicious, however, the set price was eye wateringly expensive. One would not have expected to pay this price without wine. I've dined at many fine restaurants over the years and this...

Four of us had lunch here today and it was on a par with the much missed Marc Meneau's L'Esperance. Each course was a triumph of flavour and unusual tastes. Noty cheap but worth every centime. Can't wait to return. How anyone can give this place a bad review is mystifying.

This was our only one night stop in a 17 day trip through France (2 nights at each other location. We booked the stop to break up the drive from Onzain (Loire) to Bort L'Etang in Rhone. The stay was pleasant, but one night was certainly enough. We had an MAP reservation in a superior room. Upon check in the...

The Lion d'Or, an old coaching inn, lies in the heart of this sleepy country town, and was once the county town of the Solange. The town is easily explored with one or two good wooden-framed houses and a major car museum. The hotel retains its historical past while at the same time carrying modernisation without any difficulty. In several...

Many thanks for visiting us and taking time to share your experience on Tripadvisor. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay with us, we are indeed a family business running through the 3rd generation of hosts. (And Romorantin is still the county town of Sologne ;-)) Looking forward welcoming you for an other Loire Valley vacation. Best regards. Helene...
