This wonderful guesthouse around 10 minutes bus ride from the centre of Florence (Piazza San Marco) is highly recommended for anyone (groups, couples or individuals) looking for quick access into the city but a quiet place to rest in nature in the cooler hills above the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable with well fitted bathrooms and comfortable beds.... More

Thank you to the staff at Villa Morghen who took care of our 30 guests in the occasion of our wedding! The location is amazing, the people are kind and the centre of Florence can be reached in about 25 minutes by bus. Anna

I stayed at Villa Morghen last fall for an extended visit. I loved every moment of it. The staff was remarkably friendly and accommodating and helped me plan excursions to the nearby towns like Assisi, Siena, and Pisa. The rooms are authentic and a good size and the villa is very historical and holds plenty of charm. The area surrounding... More

If you are traveling to Florence anytime soon, you must stay at Villa Morghen! The staff are so welcoming and take care of any needs you have. It is located in the beautiful area of Settignano, which overlooks the city of Florence. It is a gorgeous view and there are lots of trails to explore on the property. I highly... More

It is the most beautiful spot. Our room looked out over Florence. The city was easy to reach by bus €1.20 one way..20 min! Staff was friendly and helpful :) it's the piece and quiet you want after a hectic day in the city centre. If I go back to Florence I would stay here again!

I feel bad for leaving this review because the staff was so nice. For that reason I leave 2 stars instead of one. But the beds are so hard I couldn't sleep, the showers are less than 2x2, and the wifi they say they have only shows up with a poor signal. If I could have gotten in contact with... More

Nice hotel, Great People. Very Helpful Staff and Extremely attractive location. The hotel is exactly above the entire city of florence. The location is very peaceful. There were some complaints about food but they compensated very well next day. The hotel is also very well connected with city bus service. You can easily find a direct bus to city centre... More

We highly recommend Villa Morghen as a peaceful retreat after spending days exploring Florence and Tuscany. We had a great view of Florence from our room which despite the high temperatures remained cool (some nights we put the fan on, which worked fine). A simple breakfast was served in the refectory. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are... More

A lot of Olive trees, easy to reach from Florence (by local bus or taxi), good rooms & bathrooms and very helpful staff, this place is the perfect ESCAPE for those who are looking for peace. And Settignano, 5 min walking, has delicious restaurants!

Villa Morghen has its location as a big plus. One has a beautiful view of the city, the staff is very helpful. Without a car it is a bit difficult to reach though. The place is mainly used by student groups, so it can become a bit noisy. Breakfast could be improved. The rooms are simply furnished, but the place... More
