We arrived at this hotel to visit the gardens which were open as part of the NGS. We were early so thought we would be able to get lunch there. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely lunch in a shady part of the garden before walking around the stunning garden.... More

Wonderful dinner with exclusive wines and impeccable service. The gardens are very special and make it his a very romantic place to stay or dine. Not for the budget tourist but rather for the more discerning traveller.

Afternoon tea was a Christmas present for my wife. There was a choice of sweet or savoury tea and so we had one each and shared them between us. The sandwich fingers were very delicate and tasty. That was followed by blue cheese quiche, sausage roll and smoked salmon topped with caviar on a cracker. There was a selection of... More

What can I really add to the many very positive comments in earlier reviews? We have eaten at Goldstone Hall several times and always thoroughly enjoyed it. Yesterday's Sunday lunch was well up to the standard we have grown to expect. The whole package of the attractive old building which is the Hall coupled with with superb gardens and an... More

I attended a wedding at the weekend. We had had directions ane found Goldstone Hall easily, even if it is tucked away in countryside. Beautiful beautiful gardens that are comfortable to walk around, even the veg plots. The house has generous room space with lots of different rooms . The wedding was in a marquee but was adjoined to the... More

I had the fortune of staying here for about two months whilst working in the area. Food and wine cellar are both top notch and the staff equally so. I would heartily recommended this fine establishment to anyone visiting the area. Looking forward to revisiting in the future.

Came here for a birthday dinner treat mid week and were very impressed by the £45 per person price- this was 3 courses plus cheese and petit fours at the end. The staff were very knowledgable regarding the menu explaining how much of the produce was locally sourced and herbs, fruit and veg were grown in the hotels garden. Super... More

Without a doubt the best hotel I have stayed in in my last 3 years of working away mon-fri. Sky TV in the room, fresh coffee and a cafetière, massive bathroom with large bath, 5* restaurant, local ale at the bar (Town Crier) was very well kept and very drinkable!! The amazing gardens are well worth a few hours of... More

Don't even look anywhere else. They catered for my dietary requirements and the food, staff absolutely amazing. Stunning grounds where you are welcome to look around it all. Would definitely recommend.
