I stayed at GHH as part of a shooting party. We had a private dining room for dinner. A lovely hotel. Cosy, warm, it feels as though it wraps itself around you and looks after you. The staff were wonderful. They looked after our party wonderfully. The dinner was superb. The beef wellington was very well made. Great dessert, cheese,...

ON arrival, plenty of parking, door was opened for us by welcoming staff, we were shown to the room the rest of our group were waiting in, (no wandering the corridors) staff were then on hand to take drinks order. This they got slightly wrong but was not a problem to change and was done immediately. We were a group...

Very nice hotel in a lovely setting. The afternoon tea (sandwich option) was very good. The 4 finger sandwiches were individual and very fresh and the selection of sweeter accompaniments, such a scone with jam and cream, were equally delicious. Overall, a very good balance, sensible portion size and value for money - and all with seemingly unlimited tea or...

Pleasant, friendly staff with good knowledge. Beautiful gardens. Well furnished country house hotel. Sunday lunch expensive compared with similar locations. Would use again for perhaps a special meal.

I spent 5 nights there recently. This is a wonderful rural hotel.. The hospitality and welcome was very warm. Fireplaces were lit and the atmosphere was elegant and comfortable. The room was very comfortable with creature comforts like slippers, robe, water, fruit bowl. There was tea and coffee (real coffee not instant). Where they really excel is the food. I...

My wife and I have just returned home from a wonderful Sunday lunch at Goldstone Hall. The 3 course menu was cooked to perfection (we had the beef and pork for mains) and the service was first rate. Add in the picturesque location and we will definitely go back - a first rate experience and highly recommended!

Having not visited this area before, the trip was made special by the stay at Goldstone Hall, "a small, but perfectly formed" hotel. The room was very comfortable and homely with great attention to detail from fresh milk, real coffee, tea etc. The food was excellent and beautifully presented and the service was first class; the staff going out of...
