Stayed with a friend for one evening in July. No service at the restaurant in the later evening but lots of places in town. Stayed in a room on the second floor. The room was clean and the location was quiet. No extras but comfortable.

The traditional German timber-frame exterior compliments the newly renovated and updated rooms in a quiet location. The website has recent photos of the rooms, so don't go by the dated photos on trip advisor. The rooms are spacious and clean, have exposed brick walls, german style stucco ceilings with exposed beams, tasteful decor, gas fire place, bar fridge, flat screen...

Don't make a judgement on this little motel until you check out the rooms. We visited in the fall/shoulder season and there were very few guests, the parking lot was almost empty and the exterior is not fancy. I actually felt we had made a mistake until we saw our room with the cute little fireplace , brick wall and...

Wakefield itself is a wonderful place and if you have to stay here it is clean and in a convenient location. The food is also good fare and reasonable prices. The hotel was likely a great place when first built but I believe that was a long time ago and they have done little to update the rooms. The repairs...

We decided to stay in Wakefield and the only room available was at the Alpengruss Motel.... The room was clean and felt like we were staying in an IKEA display room. wonderful idea - very crisp looking and the beds were wonderful and just enjoyed our stay. So happy that the room had a balcony door that opened because there...

We spent our 10th wedding anniversary here and were very impressed. It is a very clean, cozy motel and a close walk to everything being a small village. The owner and all of the staff were great, extremely friendly and very hospitable. Some of the rooms have been renovated but not all of them, it is not luxury but if...

After a 400km motorcycle serendipity brought us to this beautifully renovated, clean and cozy motel. Very friendly staff. The breakfast is phenomenal. I am very fussy about eggs benedict. I asked about the ingredients in the hollandaise sauce. So our waitress offered to give me a sample. I was sold! A slight hint of lemon in this scrumptious recipe. It...

I went there last week because we had a race. The guy from the staff who received us gave us an awesome service, he was welcoming and was even making jokes which was nice. We only slept there for a night, but it was really cozy, we slept well. I think they have renovated some of the rooms and it...

We spent two nights here, for the price that we paid it was great, the room is nothing special, but it is clean and comfortable, breakfast was not much food, but it was all fine, staffs are very kind.

We came here for a surprise 30th birthday. I thought it was going to be a small crummy motel- WOW we were soooo pleasantly surprised. Cute rooms, sound proof, great staff! Will defiantly be making a trip back in the summer! This was exactly what we wanted!
