Lets start to explain that book a hotel on Sylt is always crazy expensive situation. So Lindner Strand hotel is not an exception. While we were here during Corona time, we could not use any facilities of the hotel. The pool was closed even as the gym. The rooms are very simple. I had two single beds, the bathroom had a simple shower and the decoration of the rooms are a bit low budget. The noise from my neighbour above was not nice. The wooden floor has no insulation and is very noisy when somebody is walking around. The breakfast is ok, free coffee at the entrance is very nice. Also the location nearby the beach is good. The staff is not very friendly but ok. Paying more than 300 euro per night is totally rediculous.... but that seems to be normal at Sylt.

Horrible bathrooms, overpriced, needs refurbishment. Very disappointed, The only good thing is the location. Restaurant substandard and more than basic. Staff is friendly (ish) they have to stir what they got....

This hotel has a very nice location, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, good parking. It is a bit old, but I suppose that is also charming, with old fashioned keys to the rooms. Spa area is OK but not impressive. the gym room is a joke with a bike and treadmill crammed into a tiny room.

We had no idea of what Sylt had to offer and took a wild chance booking this hotel - mostly because I got offered a discount via a loyalty program. We got lucky! After traveling around the island for 4 days, we amply recommend this hotel due to its fantastic location - steps from a beautiful beach full of ambience. My kids loved the trampoline park, the pool in the spa and the large breakfast selection and I was grateful to find very helpful and warm staff. Other reviews speak of possible improvements - slow wifi, old fashioned furniture, strange room layout. But... believe me - the location is just GREAT for a family with kids and the staff more than compensates the lacks in other areas. Perhaps the only thing that will keep us from going back to Sylt are the prices. It is VERY EXPENSIVE to stay/be there... but that is not the "fault" of the hotel - which I now see is reasonably priced when comparing to other hotels in the island.…

We had a very bad experience here. The waitress was very inexperienced, mixed up the order. We paid 56€ for a piece of fish for 2 with 5 small white potatoes (also for 2) it was cold and tasteless and no way 600 grams. We sent it back, waiter said ok....nothing in return! Did give us 2 fried potato patties and 2 schnapps. The bill was 150€ total. We hoped for more, we did get 20€ returned. We left hungry and the whole evening was very unpleasant. Bad service and bad overpriced food. Sorry, I rarely complain!

The breakfast is simply great with a very large choice of fresh food! The rooms are nice, well maintained and the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel is accepting pets and the main issue is the smell of the cleaning products used to try to kill the pets' smell!!! Our room was smelling that product during 2 days even with the windows opened 24/24h! Do not forget to take your own shampoo and shower soap! For 2 persons, we've got 1 tiny bottle of decent quality shampoo and shower gel for ... 4 days. Of course there is a kind of "ecological" refillable kind of detergent in the shower but ... Even Holiday Inn Express are providing decent quality refillable Dove soap and shampoo in the shower. For a so-called 4 stars hotel, this one is kind of cheap!

We have been here several times and the hotel has maintained its good standards. The mattresses are not really good, we noticed this when we both experienced back pains in the morning. Excellent restaurant with some staff which perhaps need a bit more customer service training. All round a polite, helpful staff with local knowledge. The pool is disappointing.

Good standard for this hotel close to the beach. Classic and quiet room at the 2nd floor without lift. Bad pillows and average mattress. No real frisian charm but competent staff and quite satisfying experience. Better for german people than for foreigners. Be careful of hidden costs like water in the room or magazines. Not enough veggie food at the restaurant. Crowded in summer and very busy staff. Not even a goodbye when I left.
