We have spent 5 days in the 602 suite house with own swimming pool; an absolute fantastic experience; not only that the house was exceptional giving us a great Provence feeling, but the staff on all levels was exceptionally friendly; they gave us the feeling to be really welcome and they pampered us in every aspect! Thank you all so much, we will warmly recommend your hotel among our friends around the world! Rarely we were able to relax so quickly during these 5 days of a break out than in La Coquillade! Cheers to all employees as well as the leadership!

We had a perfect stay at La Coquillade. The highlights were the beautiful view from our suite and the wonderful service from Daniel at the bar. We rented our bikes from the bike center and the service there was exceptional as well. The location is ideal and there are plenty of local restaurants if you choose to dine outside of the hotel. We will be back!

Beautiful place. Lovely rooms. Front of house staff exceptional. Very odd that on Mondays and Tuesdays there is literally no food available at the huge pool complex. You cannot even get a sandwich ! Very frustrating as there is nowhere close to get lunch. You can walk upstairs to the bar and get some Thai Snacks but the food there is really poor. We had pad Thai one night and the prawns were defrosted and raw. Really poor and very expensive. I don’t we how this is consistent with 5 stars??

Dear Explorer768005, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments following your recent stay at Coquillade Provence. I am delighted to read that the location of the hotel in the middle of Provence, the quality of our rooms and the attentive service of the house made your stay enjoyable. Coquillade Provence has two restaurants and two bars open: Les Vignes: our signature Provençale restaurant features local produce. Cipressa: our Italian restaurant features Mediterranean cuisine, antipasti buffet, pizza and pasta. Our main Bar serves original Thai cuisine to the acclaim of our guests and returning patrons. Our Pool side Bar which underwent an extensive refurbishment is now open and serves light snacking, salads, and desserts throughout the day. On Mondays and Tuesdays our Italian restaurant is closed in order to allow our staff to have their much deserved off days. On these two days, our guests may enjoy our offer at the pool side bar or choose to take a break from the day’s heat in the cool atmosphere of our main Bar. We do hope to have the pleasure to welcoming you back in a not too distant future, in the meantime, I remain at your entire disposal for any further request. Sincerely,

Stayed for two nights in their entry level suite. The room and bathroom were huge and we had our own private terrace overlooking the vineyard. The room even came with a jacuzzi and a sauna. Very luxurious, new, comfortable and well thought out. Great amenities. Breakfast was first rate. Pool area and pools amazing. The only negative is that they need to have attendants regularly pass around to take drink and food orders. We had to go up to the main bar to order drinks and food. The spa is enormous and beautiful. Massage was great. The whole resort is just beautiful and peaceful!

We loved our stay in Coquillade Resort & Spa! From the moment we arrived until we left everyone was so nice and helpful. Our room was very clean and looked brand new, with a private patio with deck / lounge chairs. The service was amazing, especially from the concierge who gave us great recommendations. The resort itself is like a small village surrounded by vineyards, what more can you ask for? Very peaceful and relaxing! A great couples resort in the heart of Provence.

We just had a week at this resort, and everything was absolutely fantastic. The resort is so well located for fabulous bike riding, and the outdoor heated pool is fabulous if you like doing laps. The weather was so good we didn’t use the gym but that is also very well appointed. We enjoyed a couple after cruises in the garden during the cooler evenings. Coquillade The staff are really outstanding, in particular - Laurie in reservations for finding us the most amazing room so we didn’t have to change mid week. Johanna the concierge for finding some books in English from my husband who had forgotten his kindle. Also for finding a In the bike shop and bringing it out to him by the pool on a tray! Incredible service. Emily at suppressor Italian restaurant for understanding and having the foresight to give the wife the French menu and the husband the English menu, also arriving with a half bottle of wine from the previous night without even being asked. The breakfast chef for making the most amazing egg white omelette, Yum Yum Yum congratulations to him. All the staff at this resource are simply amazing, they go above and beyond to make everything wonderful Brice in bike shop - fab Kelly and Christoph - breakfast - outstanding customer service always there just when you need a refill of the coffee pot Or anything else

The hotel itself is in a very nice area, easy to reach from Marseille airport and short drive to many of the Provence highlights. The hotel and spa is has a lot of well kept gardens perfect for a stroll and other outside activities. Spa is large, and treatments were very good. Staff extremely professional. Rooms were very nice, we stayed in a suite which was very practical and comfortable. However, there was a serious smell issue in the room and windows needed to be opened a lot for some fresh air. This smell was also present walking around the property at times. Since we were there only for a short time and spend most of out time outside this did not cause us a lot of problems, but it sure can become an issue. Breakfast was very good, with a large selection of healthy and traditional plates. Their restaurant for dinner was also great. They would definitely get a 5 star if it wasn't for the smell.

We have just returned from a three night stay at La Coquillade. Overall we were very pleased with our trip and experience and would like to return in the future. In terms of the major considerations: 1) Room - we stayed in a junior suite but to be honest next time I would choose a smaller (cheaper) room as we just did not use a lot of the space that we had. The balcony area was nice with an AMAZING view of the local vineyards. Had we stayed for longer we would probably have arranged a breakfast on our balcony. The bathroom was huge with a big bath which I appreciate as so many hotel rooms now only offer a shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. 2) Facilities - the pools are really amazing. The pool area is well maintained and very clean and there is a good selection of sun loungers and areas for sunbathing. It is really out of this world beautiful - particularly at sunset. My only criticism of the pools would be the service was a bit lacking - we didn’t want to order food or drink but we noticed most guests who did want to had to go up to the bar to order - not a big deal for us but some guests seemed frustrated by this. The gym is well equipped (for us as people who like to use mostly treadmills and weights) and spacious although it seems not to have air conditioning which was a bit of an issue when we visited in the afternoon (boiling hot - had to leave after 30 mins). We didn’t visit the spa. 3) Food - the food at the restaurants was average - the €62 set menu at Vignes definitely felt like a set menu despite not being super cheap. The food came out far too quickly and it was clear it had been batch cooked in advance. Maybe if we had ordered a la carte we would have had a better experience (though I think the experience should be comparable regardless of what you order). The food at Cipressa was similar in terms of quality - average. The highlight was probably breakfast, which was very varied and delicious - I would recommend the omelette in particular. 4) Service - sadly this was the one area Coquillade really underperformed on in our view. The service in the restaurants was shockingly bad - long waiting times, rude staff, staff refusing to take our order as it wasn’t ‘their table’. The sommelier in Vignes was absolutely clueless and could offer no opinions on two wines we were debating between. We always try to speak French when we are in the country but sometimes we need to revert to English and when we did this in the restaurants we were often met with very blank faces. The service in the reception area and concierge was much better than the restaurants - if only these staff could give the waiters and waitresses some tips on five star service. Daniel at the pool bar was great, as was Sam in the main building. At other Relais hotels the hotel managers have made more of an effort to chat to the guests (eg Borgo San Felice in Tuscany) - here it was very unclear who was who and I don’t think we met the management at all. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would return for another stay. For €500 a night I think there are many small things that could be improved but the views, the grounds, the pools made up for a lot of the short comings. If these issues can be addressed this could really be an amazing hotel. The reception mentioned they are planning to add more pool suites (I believe the highest price per night rooms) next year but I think people paying >€2000 a night (the current pool suite is up to €2700 a night I believe) will (and should) demand these issues be addressed.

We stayed for two nights and the best things about this property are the grounds and the staff. The entire resort is absolutely stunning and everything you imagine a hotel in Provence to be. The staff go above and beyond to accommodate and provide the best service. Rooms are just ok - spacious and comfortable. My only issue is that the hotel mentioned each room is equipped with air conditioning on their website but that's definitely not the case. We arrived in a heatwave and our first room did not have a system that would even come on. After waiting for service to be called and having it looked at - they decided to relocate us to another room that simply had a fan. I wish they would have simply moved us right away rather than making us wait in limbo for two hours. I realize hotels of this age in this location don't tend to have AC but it shouldn't be noted on the site as so. The food unfortunately was simply average when we expected so much more. Breakfast was the best part on the beautiful terrace. We were a bit disappointed that although they said the hotel was full, the services were not fully up and running and getting a drink after dinner was just not possible anywhere. The pool and the grounds make up for the negatives though and hopefully once they're up and running fully once again, the small areas where they can improve will be addressed.

We happened upon this hotel when a house rental fell through, and could not believe our luck. The rooms are scattered in low rise stucco buildings with tile roofs and terraces overlooking the vineyards and surrounding hills. We came at the peak of lavender season, and it was glorious. We walked the vineyard, swam in the pools, and ate in all the restaurants. The only one to disappoint was the one overlooking the vineyard. The other two were delightful, with excellent food. The lunch buffet at the Italian restaurant by the pool was an outstanding value--save room for the cheese and dessert buffet! The service throughout the hotel was excellent. Although we did not use the spa, it looked beautiful and understand it is one of the top rated in France. Everything was thoughtful and allowed us to take day trips around the area and return to a relaxing afternoon languishing by the pool and enjoying the majestic views. We would love to return to this magical place in the Luberon.
