Cozy rooms. Perfect breakfast. Very good wifi signal. The reception man was kind and helpful. Little expensive. 105 euro per night i think is too much for this hotel and as i remember there is no private parking

Having lived in Herentals many years ago. I decided to take a walk down memory lane. Plus needing a new birth certificate for my son! Conveniently located. Close to train station, bus stops all in all excellent location. Staff spoke excellent english, very friendly. Very obliging, left my plug adapter at home was able to borrow one for the week.... Myself and my business colleague stopped there over a couple of nights and dined there by having a selection of starters, main meal and drinks and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at De Swaen but of course we were business travellers, meaning our expenses would be reimbursed...but in any other PRIVATE circumstances,I'd think twice stopping over and dining there,as accommodation and Dining... I stayed in this hotel for a few nights. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room with en-suit was clean with balcony and small fridge. Awoke one morning and looked out of the window (and although I had not heard a sound) to see the market being set up down below. Very good continental style breakfast with plenty... More

After booking a budget room and receiving a confirmation mail, I assumed this was a done deal. However the day of departure I receive a second mail asking if my reservation was intended for 2014 instead of 2013 ... off course it wasn't and the original reservation request clearly stated 2013. Next, it turned out there were no budget room... More

Hotel De Swaen is close to the town center. Rooms are small, but sufficient with a comfortable bed and bathroom. Breakfast is good. for dinner you can go to the 'Swaen' bistro next door, which serves good dinner for a reasonable price. Staff is friendly and efficient. Be sure to stay away from the elevator door when going up or down,... More

I stayed here one night this week, on the recommendation of a colleague. Never let a man choose the hotel. Reception is on the first floor, as part of the bistro, which was like a greenhouse. Very hot. The lift was out of action, and in the midst of being repaired. I am prepared to concede that maybe they disturbed... More

conveniently located in the centre of Herentals, this hotel offers very good value for money. Within our company we have used the hotel to organize training sessions & it was a pleasure to work with the hotel personnel to get this all nicely organized. Also recommend eating in the bistro.

Stayed at De Swaen for one night when visiting Herentals for a football match (the local club, VC Herentals, was hosting the game on behalf of SK Lierse against Hibernian). Having exchanged emails with the hotel reception a few weeks previously to confirm our reservation, we were greeted at reception (situated on the first floor) by Wim who spoke very... More

We stayed for one night on our way home, having stayed in De Zalm on the way out. I would recommend both hotels. There is free onstreet parking near De Swaen, and although it is not located directly on the central square, it is just around the corner from it. It is clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large, and... More
