i am down here for work 5 weeks i have stayed at provident its not to bad of a place more like condos... gets busy friday and saturday nights. the room is older carpet could use a shampoo the staff is very nice my bedding the 2nd time i hand my room cleaned had stains on it i called front desk and they switched them out right away. the pool area isnt like the pictures you see its a little more run down but still nice. my company has spent around $5,000 for the 35 days i have spent. its nice to have a full kitchen besides not having an oven. full fridge with microwave and cooktop I learned that people own these "condos" hotel rooms and they just take care of it. there is a washer and dryer in the rooms but its $250 extra to unlock the door and use them. thats the owners that put the cost in.. i have booked another 5 weeks before and after thanksgiving for work. the place is very safe gated but loud from the traffic even at night. Yes only security runs hotel at night so be prepared overall its a midrange hotel or condos..

I am so happy I chose to stay at the Provident Doral at the Blue! This is my new go to hotel when going to Miami. The location is ideal, especially with all the new restaurants and places to visit in Doral. It was easy to get to all the many different locations around town that we needed to visit. It was easy to get on the highway and get to Miami Beach, Westchester, Miami Lakes, Kendall, Coral Gables, Wynwood and Brickell.
I was visiting my family for Christmas and needed a comfortable place for my husband and two teenage sons.
The facilities were perfect for our needs. The pool area was beautiful and we even enjoyed playing golf at some nearby golf courses.
The rooms are HUGE! They are actually apartment size. The Standard room has a huge bedroom and master bathroom with more than enough closet and cabinet space for 4 people.
There are kitchens with everything you need for preparing all your meals. The hotel graciously lends you all the cooking utensils, plates, cutlery and glassware you need. I even served Christmas day dinner for 7 people comfortably and easily.
Now let me tell you about the wonderful people working at the Provident Doral. The staff at this hotel are very professional, helpful and always willing to help you with anything you need. Especially Chabela and Annette in the guest services department were incredibly helpful and very attentive to all our needs. Housekeeping was great every day. They kept our room feeling fresh and new every day. Every houseman that delivered to our room was very polite and attentive. Even when I needed someone to help me start the whirlpool tub the engineering department employee came and was wonderful.
I will no longer need to go find a place to stay. I found my new home away from home when visiting Miami.
Thank you for everything Provident Doral!

Hotel is lovely, rooms are huge - like apartment size huge and the bed is amazing. However I’m staying in Miami for a holiday and cruise and this hotel has nothing to offer but a pool. So my kids are a little bored. It’s on a main road with a few bars and restaurants opposite but that’s it..... if you want to see Miami I wouldn’t stay here. Everything is an uber away! And south beach is a 40 min taxi that’s costs around $35...plus breakfast at the hotel is extortion $24 per person.....
Over all nice is you are away on business but not leisure.

The good: Let me preface this by saying that the staff at the Provident is great, specially Silvio and Otis for driving us around the lot. All workers are friendly and professional, but that's the only good part about this place.
The neutral: I didn't really like the location of this hotel but that's my fault. Doral has absolutely nothing interesting and you need a car to go anywhere. I'm serious. Once again, this is my fault and nothing to do with the hotel, but the lot where the hotel is located at is huge and our building was a good 10 minute walk from the main entrance.
To the bad part: The carpet was filthy. I'm used to walking barefoot at home and at hotel rooms but this place was just nasty. The soles of my feet would turn black after a few MINUTES of walking around the room (we stayed at room 911). I decided to take a shower and just stepping into some drops of water in the bathroom made me left dirty footprints from dirt that was in the room (pic attached). Tiles and grouts in the bathroom were in bad shape as well. I forgot to take a picture of just how nasty the carpet looked, but the picture I took of my luggage shows it pretty well. All around darkish and weird stains all over the room. Really, really dirty.
The icemaker in the refrigerator had some nasty fungus or mold thing growing on the dispenser (pic attached) that screamed health concern to me... Also, the icemaker had been left on since god knows when and it was just a solid chunk of ice (pic attached). Tried thawing it only to get puddles in the kitchen, since the block was so big it just wouldn't thaw.
Oddly enough we were greeted with... a bar of used soap in the shower (pic attached). Now I know for a fact this was used because in the following days we got an actual new one that was bigger and had the soap brand imprinted on it.
I also tried contacting the hotel through the e-mail provided on their website only to get no answer from them. And finally, when I left the hotel they didn't refund my deposit. When I called them the next day questioning it, they told me to wait 5-8 business days. After 9 business days I had to call my credit card operator and file a claim to get my refund.
To top it all off, this place calls itself a spa when in fact it basically offers overpriced massages and that's it. This has been one the worst experiences I ever had with an hotel.

Just left the hotel, stayed there many times. The most consistent problem with that hotel is the very bad attitude of the front desk personnel. They are not friendly and not very helpful.
We have been staying there for over 10 years and the only reason we return there is because the rooms are good if you are traveling with your family.
My wife requested a room on the second floor on check in and was told by the front desk attendant, that we were not considered to be loyal customers, because we booked through “Hotels.com, a third party entity, as such we need make direct contact with them if we wanted them to full fill this request???” I told her that we frequently travel and enjoy the benefits of the loyalty program.
This is an example of the garbage that we have to put up with when we have to deal with these people. The owners and management should look into this as it will hurt the reputation of the hotel.

My apologies for the incorrect treatment you received at check in. We should have absolutely honored your request for a second floor room. All request are treated equally regardless of where the reservation was made. I have spoken to our Front Desk staff, that is not our policy and position. Please allow me to make that up to you on your next stay with us. Hubert Wewer General Manager

We stayed for 5 days in what we thought was to be a good residence with a kitchen. There was 2 places but little dishes and cooking pans, glasses and accessory to be able to make a meal. The bed was soft, the coffee maker was single cup serving but staff did not know which one it took, we had to keep asking for coffee as they kept giving the wrong coffee(one for a four cup coffee maker S single cup pods). This was not good service as we needed to keep repeating. The pool was ice cold in January which should be slightly heated. Then they closed the pool for cleaning without prior notice and could not give time of reopen even when there was no one cleaning it. The price is not justified considering the errors, the missing kitchen assessory ( no sponge, or spatula)found in the kitchen. Stay away there are better residences with a full kitchen that is better suited for people who wish to cook.

Thank you for taking the time to point out the unacceptable shortcoming during your recent stay. I understand the challenges you encountered. As we have ample supplies, cooking utensils even complete "cooking help" box sets, we have re-trained our staff and addressed this communication problem with our guest furthermore the brochure explaining the availability of cooking utensils supplies etc was missing for your - and other- suites- we have fixed that. The pool unfortunately had challenges during your stay - there are no excuses - the heater and the chlorine dispenser were not functioning properly and we as a precaution we closed the pool for the time it took - too long - to fix it. We since have switched pool maintenance companies - but to you that is after the fact and i can only apologize. I hope you will give us another try to see for yourself the improvements caused by your comments. Hubert Wewer General Manager

My husband and I chose this hotel bc the room size, and the price-compared to hotels in Miami proper. The room size is wonderful, the sitting area, bedroom, kitchenette & bathroom are all very spacious. The hotel has potential, but it’s very lacking in upkeep. We arrived and the gate attendant asked us if we were sure we were at the right hotel?! We checked in, no issue, front desk staff is friendly & helpful.
We got to our room, and I immediately noticed the tile floor looked dirty. There were foot prints all over, and some small stains on the rug. I could deal. The bathroom has a Tv, which is great, but a sticky remote is gross. The jetted tub looked as if it had been cleaned, but the dirty water not drained-it was grey. While unpacking, I found a fake nail & hair ties next to the bed, price tag garbage on the floor, and one of the parts of the closet were broke. My husband took a shower before we headed out, and he informed me there were long blank hairs all over the shower wall (I’m blonde). At this point I called the front desk and nicely told them the issues. They apologized and comped us breakfast, made a list of the issues, and assured us it would be fixed in the morning. They didn’t have a room to move us to, as they were fully booked.
They didn’t clean any better the next day (the shower hair was still there!!). The shower also had little water pressure and the hand held shower head didn’t work.
Our tv broke on the 4th day, they said it would take a week to fix, so we requested to move to a diff room. They gave us a room w 2 twin beds! This was an oversight and the front desk was very apologetic.
They switched the room again, and I found the same cleanliness issues in the 3rd room.
Again, the hotel is busy & spacious & in a good location if you don’t want to be IN Miami, but it’s lacking in upkeep. I don’t think the rug was vacuumed at all while we were there. The safe was broken in the last room we were in.
The sheets and towels were clean, and the staff friendly, but it felt like it needed a little TLC.

One of the worst hotel I ever seen in my life, the rooms are very dirty as you will see in the pictures, spider nets everywhere, the carpet is very nusty, and the room surfaces were sticky. the restaurant is something embarrassing, the waiting time is crazy, never less the one hour, and the price are out of no 60 $, I will post a receipt, I will never go again to the provident hotel and I will never suggest it.
I spent in the hotel two weeks 🤦🏻♂️

We had a vacation business trip so that we could review hotels in the area and find the ones most unique for recommendations to our passengers that are new to the city of Miami and the Doral area specifically.
The pros to this property, they have shuttles to your room from the main bldg, friendly staff especially in the dining room. (Our favorite hostess was Violeta she really stood out among the employees as being funny, helpful, professional and more importantly she was the most informative employee on the grounds, asked her for ideas of fun places to review and she had multiple just off of the top of her head.)
The resort features a beautiful pool and well kept grounds. (Though the bar isn’t open this time of year. The rooms are very spacious and are bigger than most 2br apartments. There’s a full kitchen in the unit and dining area as well as an outdoor table and deck to sit outside and enjoy your food.
The cons.. 😒 for a 4 star hotel the housekeeping is severely lacking, they fail in communication & didn’t turn down our room even though we booked the cleaning the night before (we followed up a second time
the next day and by 7pm when we returned it still hasn’t been done. There were weird maintenance issues, one of the sinks wouldn’t drain in the main bathroom, dishes had been put away dirty so we had to wash them before we could even use them, the ice machine in the fridge didn’t work at all, and you have to pay $250.00 to unlock the washer and dryer within the unit. (Why does it cost $250 just to unlock the units laundry area, as a simple wash and dry is not going to cost hundreds of dollars, you could probably have all of your clothes dry cleaned cheaper than that and lastly the pool closes at sundown which really limits the amount of time you can spend at the pool here.
As someone who frequents many 4 and 5 star properties i honestly, really expected much better than average especially for the price.
and I’d recommend you keep looking if you’re expecting the value for your money.

Stayed for 4 nights for a girls trip. Location is nice, you can walk to the restaurants off property in minutes. If you are looking to go to the beach I suggest you book a place closer due to traffic it takes an hour each way to get there and back.
Units do need updating (told by front desk they are updating from the back to the front units). The unit could of been cleaned better, I would up cleaning the doors and floors myself when we arrived. Housekeeping done by request 3 days a week. Pool was nice and clean.
Overall enjoyed the stay. Did not use the spa or the restaurant. The pool bar was not open but it is a sort walk to the indoor bar and they will deliver food and drinks to you poolside.
