Staff are very welcoming and kind. The breakfast is typical and the food is tasty and fresh. You can park your car safely inside. A little away from 'Vale dos Vinhedos'. Our room was in 'Araucária Chalé' (room number 2). I strongly do not recommend this room because it is too noisy since it is on the top floor of the reception and is in the corridor for the breakfast room.
It had been 15 years that we returned not the capital of wine Bento Gonçalves / RS and we had many options. But the Pousada Chalet earned the benefit cost. The owner Mr Vital welcomes you warmly with traditional hospitality of the Serra Gaucha. Sure and is accompanied by his inseparable companion "Nina" that makes the honors and already entices guests. A beautiful little dog yellow. good bed, comfortable room and good shower makes the joy of the traveler. The breakfast is another highlight. Vital gives valuable cate of tours of the area. We are starting the spring and in the morning was between 8 and 11 degrees centigrade so no one ventured into the pool. Despite being close to the city center the Borgo neighborhood is well wooded and many birds sing in the morning. Pharmacy, grocery store, restaurant, gas station less than 200 m. The attendants are also prestativas leave you vontade.Bom Internet signal. You get the power key to the gate. Você pode trazer seu PET,It has a gourmet space for events. After you feel at home.…
Since I was just staying two nights I really didn't need anything fancy and I got what I say. I was in room 4 upstairs in the main building. Room seemed basically clean, depending on what Nationality frame of reference you are rating it from. I travel a LOT and would say a 6 1/2 scale. Room was really small but that is probably just b&b. Just very simple. No place for luggage no storage area or anything. Bathroom was about the same. Small small shower but again that is probably just the "European" influence.
Everything is quite new at Pousada do Chale !!! The room are spacious, the common area is nice. Moreover, the staff is very cool and friendly. Mr. Vital, the Owner is very talkative and helpful. It's located near to the downtown (around 1 km).
This little B&B or pousada is very cute. It is located reasonably centrally to the city Bento Goncalves. Although, if you ask locals it isn't. You do need a car in this state to move around, so it's about 3 minutes drive to the centre city and 15 minutes to the Vale dos Vinhedos. The place is really beautifully built, colourful swiss-mountain style cottages. Which the locals call 'chale'. But don't expect rolling hills, as it is still within the urban landscape. Still cute though. The space is enclosed so you can park your car safely and you get your own electronic gate-access to be independent. I stayed in a 'luxury' room and it was very comfortable. Very clean and down-to-earth. I would definitely recommend this place. As another highlight is the breakfast. A lovely buffet spread with cakes, breads, jams, cheeses, hams and some hot options. No made-to-order that I could tell, but all delicious and fresh. Staff very welcoming. The only things which I felt a little disappointed with regarding the accommodation, were that the room didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of price and advertising. I guess Brasil is overall more expensive than one generally expects. However, the 'luxury' room was quite small. No closet space. Just a long shelf and a small rail to hang some things. Not enough towels for 2 people with long hair in the bathroom. No allowance for a bathmat either which was a little inconvenient. Not enough soap, either. No hairdrier. Generally, if you have hair - even very short like mine and it's cold, I recommend you bring your own everything to wash it properly. I went in winter - it does get very cold - and I found the heating system was a little poor. The remote to the aircon was broken and had been fixed with scotch tape. But there was a warm blanket on the bed and the shower did have hot water (hot water is not very common in Brasil) which helped. And there was a minifridge and large tv which I guess make up for things if that's your thing. So, go and enjoy. But be warned that when I went in July 2012 I could only opt for the luxury room as I was staying just one night. So what I just described is probably the best you can expect.…
