We stayed here before and after a three day tour into the rainforest to see orangutans in wildlife. The hotel is nicely located between airport and city center. It is about a 2km walk to the yellow Palace and waterfront city. The walk along the street is a bit unconvenient but doable. There are no taxis at night so plan carefully.
The hotel itself offers spacious rooms with AC. The rooms are a bit outdated from European perspective but I have seen far older furniture and bathrooms and far more expensive hotels in the US and elsewhere. For the price, the rooms are more than you can expect.
Breakfast was included and offers mostly indonesian food. There is also a cafe/restaurant offering western food.
Overall, we would choose this hotel again for a stay in the area.

Great hotel with amazingly helpful staff who contacted a local tour to book our Tanjung Puting trip. Rooms were clean and bed very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the restaurant was open late. Concierge also ensured we had a taxi waiting to take us to the airport at check out. A short walk to restaurants and Arut River.

We found this to be a fantastic value for money! Perhaps not the most luxury hotel in Pangkalan Bun (Grand Hotel Kecubung is considered the best, but definitely also the most expensive) but it is among the best hotels and for the price I think it is the best value for money. The rooms are spaceous, clean bathroom, hot water, AC, and the restaurant is also very good. For a 1 or 2 night stay in combination with an orangutan tour it is all that you really need.

This is great value for money the night before of after your experience in the Borneo jungle. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly.

The hotel has a nice garden in which you can enjoy your breakfast. There is an omelet station in the garden, but apart from that, breakfast options are few. Breakfast is ok, but nothing to write home about.

We had dinner at restaurant and we had no complaints.

This hotel is the best hotel on the "right" side of town, i.e. close to the airport and Kumai, from where the kelotok boats depart. Picking another hotel would add more time to your transfer (even if it may still be the standard price of IDR 70k).

Nice hotel, nearest to the Pangkalan Bun airport.. the room was so comfort. Good place for you before you run for the first flight on the next day. I recommend this hotel because the location is strategic and many food spot around the hotel especially in the night.

First of all PKN isn’t geared for tourists yet so all hotels and restaurants need to be judged lightly. Now saying that...the hotel provided a comfy bed with clean sheets as-well as a clean bathroom and towels. At the price point it has covered all bases. If you are looking for quality interior design and chic interiors, you are better off heading to Bali. This hotel has so much potential and the architecture of the wooden dyak style is pretty amazing. There isn’t much to do here so bring a book and sit in the lobby or garden. There is a great coffee shop to the right as you walk out from the hotel. Walking to town Centre isn’t really possible as it’s too far. Friendly front staff

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in early January 2015. The hotel had 16 rooms, and was basic with no facilities to speak off.

To me the most critical requirement for any hotels would be clean, quiet rooms with comfortable beds, and from that point of view, the hotel met the necessary requirements.

The shower was good with good water pressure and hot water.

Breakfast was basic white bread and jam with coffee. There is a toaster. That's it. I did not have any other meals there.

Our room seemed clean, big, had Wifi and TV in our room that actually worked (not always the case in other Hotels). Breakfast buffet was rather a disappointment, but Overall a place I would stay again in this town. Especially comparing it to the other Hotel (Bahagia) we stayed at after our jungle tour, this is a great hotel. We wanted to stay here again, however, was full due to journalists staying for AirAsia plan Crash coverage.

Really nice hotel - large comfortable rooms. Clean sheets, aircon, hot water and a good breakfast - not much more that you need! There is also a really nice garden.

Bear in mind you are in Pangkalan Bun where there really isn't much going on or much choice of hotels - this hotel is a good bet for a quiet and comfortable stay. It is fairly expensive for indonesia but this seemed to be the general case in this part of borneo.

We ate outside the hotel in some roadside warungs so I can't comment on the food.

The staff were always very friendly to us and we had no problem.

Best to take cash and the card machine want working but there is an atm opposite so this is not a problem.

I booked by sending reception an email and there was no issues when we arrived.
