Relaxing by the river Seine's edge with son, partner and grandson's 1yr & 13 in the evenings watching boats / barges going by was entertaining and oh so relaxing!! The receptionist was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. Our pitch was still occupied by it's current tenants when we arrived, and were nowhere to be found! This wasn't a fault of the owners and we quite happily took the pitch on the other side of our son when it was offered. It worked to our advantage as the river view was so much better!! Bouncy castles, outdoor swimming pool and paddling pool kept both children entertained. The bar area kept my husband and son entertained!! They served local beer on draught and the snacks and pizza was very tasty! There was also a very tempting cocktail list with both alcohol and non alcoholic cocktails much to my grandsons delight! My grandson and I cycled around the site on a number of evenings just to cool down! We were in the midst of the current heatwave that had engulfed us all so the rain that came two days before our departure was so welcome!! Showers and toilets were clean and with the current situation with Covid19 there was hand sanitiser and hand wash available. The small village of Petite Andleys was approx 15 min walk along by the river which was also a safe cycle route - 15 minute walk from the village took us to a small hypermarket, patisserie and pharmacy. The site was well maintained and clean . …
Had a lovely stay at Camping I'lle des Trois Rois. A friendly welcome and easy to find pitch with a river view as booked. (Worth paying the extra). Pitches are spacious and also separated with hedges so feels like you have a bit of privacy. It's a big site but there's plenty of facilities so we didn't have to wait or queue. Had a few drinks in the bar and a pizza from the restaurant one evening which was great. Don't like commenting on grubby toilet blocks as it's down to dirty customers more than staff, but they could have been cleaned a bit more often as the site was busy. Other than that a perfect stay and highly recommend. Nearby Petits Andelys has a few restaurants to choose from and it's worth walking up to Chateau Gaillard.
We had a wonderful 4 night stay from 9th October 2019. The riverside pitch for our campervan was large with ample space and 10 amp electric hookup. Overlooking the Seine, it was interesting seeing the numerous barges & river cruise ships on the river. Facilities were very clean but bar / restaurant was closed at this time of year. It's a short walk to the town of Petit Andely with a few bars & restaurants and a shop. The supermarket is a short drive away in the main town of Andely. It's a good base to visit Monet's Garden in Giverny a short drive away- superb time of year to visit with Autumn colours & few tourists. 60 miles north of Versailles so just over an hours drive. Excellent campsite & certainly would return.
Level pitches, immaculate facilities in a beautiful location on the banks of the Seine, a short walk into the local town is worth a trip although it is pretty quiet, we struggled to find a bar open while we were there for a drink.
A superb campsite in a great location . The ambience was good and the staff made you welcome and extremely helpful. The views from the site were fantastic and the town was very attractive with good facilities . There are plenty of attractions in the area . Will visit in the Spring for Monet’s Garden . Cannot praise the experience enough .
