Villa Alienor is a beautiful spot in Les Andelys. We had the "chambre Irresistible", which is at the very end of the hallway (upstairs), so we had neighbours on only one side. It was a very quiet room, therefore. The only time we heard other guests was when they were in the hallway. From our room we had a wonderful... More

We booked Villa Alienor through trip advisor for the first time at quite short notice. Although we had difficulty locating the villa at first, we were absolutely delighted when we arrived. A beautiful location, a lovely welcome, a delightful room and the garden enveloped us with its fragrance and colours. We had driven for a while so immediately enjoyed a... More

The ambience of this perfectly located B&B couldn't be better -- in an old converted hotel (formerly Hotel Normandie) with its entrance through a flowery courtyard off a little street facing the Seine. Parking was easy on that street (Quai Grimoult) even though we arrived early on a Saturday evening. The rooms are one floor up the stairs (no lift)... More

If it could be bettered, we don't know how. It will be on our short list of most memorable places. Thank you, Nadine, for your friendly disposition and your willingness to go beyond the call of duty. P&P

I only gave it 4 stars because there is no AC, and I get very hot at night, but alas it is France, so this is to be expected. Besides that, the place is wonderful. Very helpful and friendly owners. The women helped me find a bus to the train I needed. Really nice people! The location is amazing, on... More

Situated on the banks of the Seine, with pleasant courtyard to drink your apero and watch the swans on the water, or the boats go by, this small hotel is exceptional. Quaint rather than modern, immaculately clean, the warmth of the welcome surpasses most places we have visited.(Thank you so much for our complimentary g&t and cold beer on arrival,... More

Had a wonderful visit to Villa Alienor. The rooms were extremely comfortable and very quiet despite being close to a well-used town road. The breakfasts were plentiful and the coffee service excellent. Views of the chateau and the proximity to the river were a special bonus and we enjoyed evening walks by the Seine with the white cliffs looming in... More

Agree with all the excellent reviews. This is a true gem. Nadine and Eric are friendly and welcoming hosts who make sure your stay is just wonderful - every detail is perfect. When I told our DDay tour guide we were staying somewhere south of Rouen and north of Giverny he frowned and said Meh. But then I said it was in Les Andelys and he sighed and said Aahh... Beautiful setting for this place, view of Richard the Lionheart's chateau out the window and the Seine around the back. It was... More
