Within the area the are many places you can visit easily by foot and can get a understanding of how people made a life possible, intact and absolute. as an architect and urbanist, i made my 3 days time count and let myself to drown in the beautiful and mesmerizing historical sites. i touched an 400 years old wooden door in a the two-domed mosque, i walked through old buildings and mosque going back 150 to 800 years, the Borojerdi and Tabatabaei houses are a most see in the area, but for me the Khorasani Sharbaafi (an old handcraft workshop making cotton and silk scarfs) near our house was the highlight of them all.
We were 15 students with our professor , a study group from Science and Technology University of Iran. we were divided in every room of the house, none of us could get enough of the atmosphere. we never wanted to leave and i bet you do also never want to leave the house either. no doubt it's a most have experience to stay in Noghli Historical House.

The best way to reach the guesthouse is going to Agha Bozorg Mosquee. Looking at the entrance, go left, then turn right. Go along the narrow street on the left side of mosquee for 300 meters. At the end you will find a sign of Noghli House.
But if I was the owner I'd make some handicraft, I'd learn english as well, I'd make there so better than now!
When we had to pay the bill it seemed that they wanted to ripp us off, asking for double the price they first told us. We didn't argue about the bill because we felt emberassed and were in a hurry and the owners have limited English. We didn't have enough rials with us (thinking the bill would be half of what it was) and asked to pay in Euros and then the price rocketed again.
This all made us leave with a bad feeling, even more so because we felt like it was more a homestay than a guesthouse. Next time I'll go in Kashan I'll stay in another restored house. We saw it and it was also beautiful and cheaper.
I read other reviews and the owners really seem to charge you what they think they can get away with. This is really a shame because it is a beautiful place with a good location.
We stayed in a very simple twin room for 300,000R including an excellent breakfast which is really good value. The shared bathrooms were clean. The breakfast was excellent with homemade jam and cheese and fresh tomatoes and cucumber. We didn't have any other meals but they sometimes cook communal meals for the Iranian guests which we could have joined if we had not already eaten. The atmosphere here is relaxed and it is a nice place to meat some Iranians in a relaxed environment.
It is signposted to the left of Aga Bozog Mosque so not too difficult to find. The door often seems locked so you might need to ring the bell. The locaton is very convenient close to the historic houses and the bazaar.
We paid 35$ for a double room.
