It's not just a historical house, it's a time machine, too. the atmosphere is not like any other. you can almost feel belonged and can't get enough. everybody from the staff is the most friendly which make you never wanna leave this amazing place and are active 24/7 try to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. the house is part of a complex, including a cafe on a rooftop of another historical house, entertainment room where you play board games, chat or even rent bicycle to site see the old neighborhood and the city with - which are i very recommend - , a tiny theater dedicated to cultural events and more. the rooms are clean, well organized, room serviced, clean bed sheets and pillows, private tiny bathrooms in every room. the yard was a beautiful feature which they served the breakfast there and it was also a place were one can easily lay back on a bed or a chair and enjoy the tiny central garden including a grape, a pomegranate and a fig trees alongside the view of a tiny pond. it gets more beautiful under the november rain, if you are lucky enough to experienced it under the rain it's a catch. the house is also a sacred place for most Iranian artists such as musicians, actors ad etc.
Within the area the are many places you can visit easily by foot and can get a understanding of how people made a life possible, intact and absolute. as an architect and urbanist, i made my 3 days time count and let myself to drown in the beautiful and mesmerizing historical sites. i touched an 400 years old wooden door in a the two-domed mosque, i walked through old buildings and mosque going back 150 to 800 years, the Borojerdi and Tabatabaei houses are a most see in the area, but for me the Khorasani Sharbaafi (an old handcraft workshop making cotton and silk scarfs) near our house was the highlight of them all.
We were 15 students with our professor , a study group from Science and Technology University of Iran. we were divided in every room of the house, none of us could get enough of the atmosphere. we never wanted to leave and i bet you do also never want to leave the house either. no doubt it's a most have experience to stay in Noghli Historical House.

Super Exotic experience for those who love to experience unique stuff. I stay there for one night in a super primitive room with only on bed and something that I could hang my clothes. a small light bulb and receptacle to charge my phone, that was all facilities in this room. room was quiet traditional designed and built with a curve muddy ceiling. super special environment with some live traditional music which was playing with local in courtyard.

A charming small traditional residence. Rooms and bathroom are clean. It has a nice atmosphere. It is close to the historical houses of Kashan. You can walk to Kashan's historic houses and traditional bazaar on foot. Have a good breakfast.

The Noghli Historical House is a nice place in the historical centre. Surely one of the best budget place option in Kashan. Rooms are around a beautiful courtyard where you can relax drinking tea. Rooms are clean and have bathroom shared. I paid for one single room with breakfast included, 200.000 ryal (11 euros). On request you can also have lunch and dinner: the cook is fantastic and can prepare for you delicious traditional dishes.
The best way to reach the guesthouse is going to Agha Bozorg Mosquee. Looking at the entrance, go left, then turn right. Go along the narrow street on the left side of mosquee for 300 meters. At the end you will find a sign of Noghli House.

Even though listed in Lonely Planet i found this place really bad. The service by Mr. Rezvanian's (owner) wife was grumpy, the room had no towel, no toilet paper, and no bed sheets. The avaiiable bedding was dirty. Breakfast was boring and little to eat. This place is so basic and should be much cheaper but best avoided. Go to nearby Khan-e Ehsan which is 100 better with nice rooms and clean white sheets.

Response from Akbar R, Manager at Noghli Historical house

Hello, the whole review about Noghli House is False. the room's clearness is checked every day, specially before the guest enter the room. all the guests receive clean towel and clean sheet when they want to enter the room. we send all the used and dirty towels and sheets to laundry every day. the breakfast get prepared at early morning every day and it is much enough for all the guests. and it reloads every 10 minutes. In fact we think you wasn't here at Noghli House! and it is completely a negative and a commercial review, because if you were our guest, how do you know that the Ehsan guest house has nice rooms and clean sheets?!!! It is not moral to rate a place where you never have been there. Please delete your review or change it. Thanks

This place is beautiful, an old restored courtyard. It is quiet. We also had dinner with the owner who was nice enough.

When we had to pay the bill it seemed that they wanted to ripp us off, asking for double the price they first told us. We didn't argue about the bill because we felt emberassed and were in a hurry and the owners have limited English. We didn't have enough rials with us (thinking the bill would be half of what it was) and asked to pay in Euros and then the price rocketed again.

This all made us leave with a bad feeling, even more so because we felt like it was more a homestay than a guesthouse. Next time I'll go in Kashan I'll stay in another restored house. We saw it and it was also beautiful and cheaper.

I read other reviews and the owners really seem to charge you what they think they can get away with. This is really a shame because it is a beautiful place with a good location.

A nice family run guesthouse in the old city of Kashan. The rooms are in mud brick house arranged around a pleasant courtyard with a fountain. The family who runs it are friendly and speak some limited English (a local student who stays there was also helping with translation). They live in the house as well so it really feels like a family place.

We stayed in a very simple twin room for 300,000R including an excellent breakfast which is really good value. The shared bathrooms were clean. The breakfast was excellent with homemade jam and cheese and fresh tomatoes and cucumber. We didn't have any other meals but they sometimes cook communal meals for the Iranian guests which we could have joined if we had not already eaten. The atmosphere here is relaxed and it is a nice place to meat some Iranians in a relaxed environment.

It is signposted to the left of Aga Bozog Mosque so not too difficult to find. The door often seems locked so you might need to ring the bell. The locaton is very convenient close to the historic houses and the bazaar.

In the train from Tehran we saw this place here on TA and decided to go for it without reservation. Getting of the train there was only 1 taxi in front of the station and the first thing the driver said "Noghli house?" An amazing coincidence. Ahore, the concierge of this house, there are multiple houses in the same complex, welcomed us and after he phoned the main reception we still could have a double room with shower on the first floor. The room 116 is basic with a double bed and a small bathroom with western toilet and a small sink. The shower however is in the middle. When using it the whole bathroom gets wet, but the water dries up quite quickly. Breakfast is typical Iranian with naan, carrot jam, boiled eggs, cheese, watermelon, salty patatoes, tea and Nescafe coffee. The atmosphere is very relaxed, depicted by the hipster look of Ahore :) You can have your breakfast either indoor at a low table or outside in the courtyard on the big Iranian chairs. Indoor you get in contact with fellow tourists, which doesn't happen if you sit outside. We met a Chines father and son and a Polish solo male traveller. The restaurant in the main building has a very nice menu. I recommend the Shefteh ab anar (meatballs in pomegrate juice) yummy!

An good place to stay for a couple of days. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Be sure to go for Hosein's rooftop tour -- it was one of the highlights of our three weeks in Iran.

We paid 35$ for a double room.

Hi there, I was in Iran for 3 weeks in May this year - I travelled with my husband, so we were accommodated in double rooms in small hotels, but one thing I can say about prices is that they are very reasonable. We were paying, most nights - Esfehan was an exception as accommodation is a little scarce there and demand quite high - between €20-30 for a double room. There are hostels, and I'm sure they would be even cheaper. It's difficult to book online, we bought a SIM card once we were there, and would ring ahead a day or two to arrange a reservation, and this worked well. Often the hotel you're in can assist with your forward booking too - and will even make the call for you, which is helpful. Have a great time - I'm sure you'll enjoy it, we loved our time there and plan to return next year.
