No wonder that we want to return here again and again. The feeling already at the Bitung harbor when you see familiar faces greeting you... it is like coming home. And even though different season's - you always get world class muck diving with fabulous guides.

If you want great muck diving, this is the place. From the time I sent the first email for booking until the day we left, everything was handled perfectly. A big thanks to Sam and Bella for making the entire Lembeh experience fantastic! 1. Rooms were comfortable and cleaned several times daily 2. Tommy the Chef and his team prepared amazing meals. 3. The wait staff during the meal times were very attentive. 4. The dive guides have amazing spotting abilities and know the sites extremely well. 5. The camera room was spacious and provided more than enough room for all my gear. 6. Yoda was very entertaining!

I can not say enough Good things about this resort, I never wanted to leave and I can’t wait to go back! Let’s Start with the diving. The guides are the best around. Having a two to one guide ratio makes everything so much better. I wasn’t quite sure that this would matter as much as I have been diving in Lembeh in groups of 3 to 4 and felt like that was fine. But 2 to 1 is really that much better. I was taking photos and my mom was enjoying the view. Our guide always made sure to have something to show each of us so that there was never any downtime. All of the guides are amazing at finding critters and work together to make sure that everyone gets to see what there is at the dive site. The guides are also very experienced with photography and help suggest angles, shots, lighting and tips and tricks to make sure that you get the photo you are after. There is a reason that Lembeh is the muck diving capital of the world and I would not want to see this place with any one other than the wonderful people at NAD. I was equally impressed with the food as well as the accommodations. I have stayed at other resorts in Lembeh that were slightly less expensive. This place is worth the extra money. The food was wonderful. Every night is a mix of different cuisines and they are all equally delicious. The staff at the resort is incredibly attentive. It’s almost as if they know what you need and have it ready before you could even ask for it. The bungalows are perfect, hot showers comfortable bedding and air-conditioning if you would like that. Also each bungalow has a little private balcony that you can watch the strait from and enjoy the views. Sam and Bella, the resort managers make sure that you have everything that you need and that your trip goes incredibly smooth. As soon as you arrive at NAD you feel like home. There is an amazing sense of comfort at this resort that is captivating and makes you never want to leave. I only have one small suggestion they should consider a name change to RAD Lembeh - Really Amazing Diving 😜. It really is that good!

What an awesome diving experience. The dive crew are fantastic and knowledgeable and super helpful. At the resort the catering was really good and staff very friendly. We were disappointed at the general cleanliness and plastic washing up at the shore and not being cleaned. Being such prestige resort I would hope that this would be a priority.

NAD Lembeh is first and foremost a dive resort for divers, in particular those with a passion for underwater photography (the owners, Simon and Zee, pioneered the art of blackwater photography). The beach is made up of black sand which is ubiquitous in this part of the world due to the presence of the 2 nearby volcanoes. The resort staff were especially friendly and helpful, always ready to assist whenever and however they can. We stayed in one of the 10 beach-fronting terraced villas. The room was clean and functional, as is the overall resort (nothing really stands out except perhaps for the well-designed and large camera room for divers and their underwater camera setups). Thicker blankets can be requested as the standard ones were thin and are more akin to bedsheets. Hairdryers can also be furnished if needed. Massage can be arranged but it's expensive at USD35/hour. The lunch and dinner buffet comprise 4-5 dishes each (eg soup, meat, vegetables, crackers, dessert) and even though the spread isn't extensive we generally found the dishes tasty and satisfying. Breakfast is a simple affair. There is no buffet spread with a limited fare on offer due to the resort’s small scale of operations (eg we had egg and bacon / sausage plus Welsh cake). Coffee came courtesy of two coffee machines but were good and effective especially on a cold morning before hitting the cold waters of Lembeh Strait (much colder than normal for some reason). There is also a bar / chill out area situated a short walk away beyond the camera room. There is a very small pool set-up which also comes with a jacuzzi area. Despite its modest size we particularly found the pool a welcome relief after retuning from dives.
