My family travelled in Sumatra for 16 days on an amazing adventure. Total of 11 including 5 grandchildren. Staying at Rindu Alam Hotel for 3 nights over new year period was an unexpected highlight - Bukit Lawang's most busiest 2 days of 'year'. So many happy families enjoying this beautiful area. I booked directly with Mr Delta wonderful help organising all my rooms. Our 6 superior rooms great with adjoining doors, perfect with the children. Swimming in the river rapids at our front door wonderful. We did a full day jungle trek - excellent
Clean, spacious room even abit outdated but still acceptable, nice service &manners from the staff...get to river view right in front of our room, and aircon room so it’s not hot when we want to wind down
Nice hotel, good location, can also nice sitting outside. Aircon available, friendly hotel staff. Breakfast was good and diner too, with a lot of choices. We did the one day trekking trip, was good organized by Sumatra Adventures.
The hotel room was clean and the bathroom had a flushing toilet and a cold, refreshing shower. It is equipped with a fan and everything was clean. The restaurant served a wide range of dishes. The hotel is situated next to the jungle anf therefore a perfect spot to start a trekking into the wild nature of Sumatra.
Arrived yesterday unsure of basic accommodation booked - lovely bungalow with fan cooling the doorway!!!! But lovely clean beds, high ceilings, towels and good shower power - if cold!, Welcome splendid after long journey by bus from Prarapat - 10 hours - so appreciated welcome drink. Food very indifferent - ok if starving hungry- but suggest looking further afield if you have the energy. Beer great!
