We are back at our beloved Alma de Pacifico Hotel where we feel as welcomed as at home. The staff are incredibly attentive to every possible need, friendly, accommodating and thoughtful. The rooms are beautiful and decorated very artistically. The food delicious and they have a great happy hour. The gardens are just a marvel to tour. Be sure to take the time to do this! Great for group escapes, too. We spend our Thanksgivings with friends there. And lots to do in the area. And of course, the beachfront homes are very special.

My family and I spent 6 days at Alma del Pacifico and we did not want to return home. The property is gorgeous and tranquil. We often had the beach and pool to ourselves. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a comfortable experience. From the reception staff, to the restaurant staff and even the security guards. We felt at home and at peace. As much as we'd like to return and explore more of Costa Rica, I don't think we would stay anywhere else. We thank you for making our trip so memorable! Muchas gracias a todos y Pura Vida :)

Alma del Pacifico is a superb property. Each room is artistically appointed, has an amazing indoor (and adjacent) outdoor shower. The sitting area, kitchenette, bedroom and bathrooms were all immaculate, spacious and well lit . Each unit has a privacy/ security wall that offers guests the option of locking the gate. This feature offers complete privacy in the units outdoor sitting areas, and interior rooms. This property is well maintained. Any issues with rooms or landscaping are immediately addressed. When the housekeeper discovered a small drip from the air conditioning unit, it was immediately repaired The staff is the most professional and accommodating anywhere! From initial contact with reservations, through check-in, check-out every facet of the hotel experience is flawless. Evelyn, the reservations manager can tackle any travel challenge you may encounter. She is amazing. You will be treated like royalty at this property.

Great room with ocean view. Beach big and empty. Breakfast good. Dinner mediocre but views and rooms make up for food. Teen took two surf lessons and really enjoyed. Nice hammocks. Laid back vibe. And corn hole to boot. Rooms have plenty of space.

I spent a very relaxing 3 nights here at the end of a hectic 14 day coach tour. Comfortable and very quirky beachside bungalow with all the eco-friendly features you expect in CR. Interesting shower room with full width/length sliding windows and open shower cubicle looking out - not overlooked though. Private WC. And all the wildlife. Be prepared for iguanas popping out of the undergrowth and scarlet macaws passing overhead. The sea was somewhat rough but there are 2 pools. Plentiful loungers and hammocks in the lovely beach grounds. Good restaurant with decent menu and generous breakfast. Beach bar with happy hour so the lovely cocktails are more affordable. Wonderfully helpful staff I all areas. This hotel is not cheap. And it is far from any good sized towns or alternative eating/drinking options. So it's a very hefty taxi to reach airports and shopping. But it was a super treat after a frantic tour.

I booked the hotel off the back of a comment in the Rough Guide to Costa Rica and it didn’t disappoint. We booked one of the beachfront villas which were large, well appointed and clean. Previous comments about the place looking tired are well wide of the mark. The buildings are brightly painted in a range of bright colours and the gardens are beautiful which should be no surprise given the hard work which clearly goes into them every day. The location on the superb beach is to die for and the sea is warm. Then there’s all the wildlife which moves in and around the site. We arranged everything direct with Alma and a huge shout out goes to Luna and the whole team for organising our whole stay, including various excursions and transport, so perfectly. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

A beautiful resort, manicured, beach front, wonderful staff. Furniture is all concrete based so other than the bed not really comfortable for sitting. Quality of food and variety lacked immagination and changing a food item such as mashed potatoes for rice resulted in a small piece of glazed pork belly in the middle of a bed of rice. Coffee machine was a Britt Expresso machine with expresso cups. No regular coffee provided in suites.

We arrived at the hotel ready for a nice relaxing break after our adventures in Costa Rica and that is exactly what we got at this fabulous hotel. We were told on checking in that our room had been up graded from a beach front bungalow to a beach front villa with a plunge pool. We were delighted and even more so when we were taken to see it, floor to ceiling views of the ocean an amazing beach. Our villa was beautiful and kept really clean with lots of towels and everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had several visits to the spa which was first class and ate our breakfast and evening meals at the hotel portions were huge so we found we did not need to eat lunch but waited and enjoyed our evening meal with a bottle of wine instead. The pools of the property were lovely nice and warm and lovely and clean with plenty of towels and some days were were the only ones using them. We were sad to leave we really enjoyed our stay will always remember the beautiful view from our villa of the vast beach and beautiful ocean. Scarlet macaws visit the property and there a loads of pelicans and a sloth in the tree near our villa. We would love to return to this beautiful place. The hotel was recommended to us by Jack Brooker of ITC/Rainbow Tours who put together a fabulous trip for us one which we will never forget and would love to do all over again.

Horrible company to do business with! They are frauds! Be careful making a reservation, they do not abide by their own reservation cancellation rules. We are dealing with a credit card dispute for hundreds of dollars in authorized charges from this hotel. Book at your own risk!
