We've always preferred staying in small family run hotels and L'Etoile exemplifies why. From the moment we arrived we were delighted with the friendly service, the comfortable room, the lovely restaurant. At dinner I asked the waitress for help with my dietary issues. She brought out the chef, who made up a special menu for me so I could enjoy...

I have stayed in this hotel before in 2014 whilst on a motorcycling holiday. It was good for us men but this time I was in the car and had my wife with me and she looks for different things so I was concerned that she would enjoy the experience. I need not have worried, she liked it immensely. From...

This hotel is how family hotels in France used to be before the chains took over. Relaxed, friendly (and efficient) with comfortable rooms and good food. Rooms are quiet as hotel is in a very pleasant village a bit of the beaten track. Parking is free and close to hotel. The hotel is set in a very pleasant quiet village....

I have been very impressed with the this hotel. Not only it is a wonderful hotel, with very comfortable rooms and newly refurbished spa, but also the lady who runs it is very kind. For instance, we left behind an old Teddy Bear that belongs to our little dog and she kindly sent it off to the UK by post....

There was a lovely atmosphere in this old family run hotel. The room was of an adequate size but was comfortable and had excellent facilities. The food in the restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced. Set in a very peaceful village. Enclosed secure parking was provided for our motorbikes. Another “find” for my list of hotels that I will...

This is a lovely little Logis just a short distance from the motorway and ideally placed for an overnight stop. The rooms are mostly large and always clean. Some rooms are in the new annex opposite which are even quieter than those in the main building. Carparking is in a locked carpark though I can't see any reason for it...

Good value from a Logis de France hotel. We had booked upgraded rooms (located in the new spa wing) and were very happy we did as the rooms were air conditioned. The day had been unusually hot and being spoiled Americans, we really enjoyed the A/C. The rooms also had a flat screen TV and upgraded beds and linens. One...

We run our own B&B in Normandy so are often very picky about the places we stay in. I have no serious complaints about this hotel. I chose it after finding it on Tripadvisor and wasn't too sure how good it would be following previous reviews but it was in an ideal location for us to overnight enroute from Normandy...
