Nice quaint little hotel, renovated somewhat recently since COVID. Food menu was very outdated but what's offered was delicious. No cleanliness issues with room. Owners speak English well enough for simple conversations. Would recommend.

Our double room in Teddy Bear Hotel was very nice and clean. Wifi worked very well. The staff was nice and gave us a map that helped us a lot during our trek in the area. It was very good value for the money spent.
The location is excellent if you want to climb Emei Mountain!

Resting on it's laurels.Pretty average and the teddy bears have bored themselves to death.Great advantage is that it is next door to the bus station.The front desk was hopeless and made no real effort to please.Personally Iwould look elsewhere if I ever returned.

This clearly used to be a nice hotel. At one point (presumably pre-COVID) this would have been a nice play to stay. Sadly it is now dirty, very tired, and ultimately fairly unpleasant. Our teddy-bear-themed room had clearly once had a lot of thought go into it, but is now in dire need of a deep clean and some tlc: mirrors were smeared/dirty, the bath/jacuzzi was filthy, the shower door was broken and didn’t close properly, and the room was smelly.
Pros: Great location near bus station Good price (241RMB for two nights; double room) Free map and travel advice Friendly staff English spoken English food menu, lounge area & decent food Clean bedding and towels
Cons: Very dirty rooms (we didn’t dare touch the bath!) Fixtures and fittings broken Noise (from bus station and thin walls)
Conclusion: If you’re on a tight budget and can put up with a very dirty room this isn’t a bad place to spend a night or two

I stayed at this supposed icon of Chinese hostels and found it did not live up to it reputation ....mid winter late November it was very damp and cold and the hostel was most inadequately heated ! Also, Every sound echoed around the building and the walls of our room were paper thin.. The staff were aloof and pretty unhelpful .. But that could be language deficiencies ? The shower was located next to the toilet so subsequent flooding of area inevitable. I have travelled extensively all over the world and am not that fussy as long as the basics are met... And when it is bone freezing outside , then at the very least a hotel should provide warmth to its patrons!

Went to this hostel as it is a well known icon in chinese hostel circles... To be honest I found this establishment to have made three outstanding impressions on me..1. Over-rated;2.over-priced;& 3.over-unfriendly... Like the whole of Emeishan... It needs to find its heart again...

The rooms are clean but the atmosphere is a little bit depressing, same for the hotel in general. Shower without tray or curtains. On the plus side, the hotel is conveniently located and has a good restaurant.

The location of this hotel is right next to the Transportation Centre where we can buy bus tickets to go up Emeishan. It is right in the middle of the tourist activities where one can relax, dine and prep for the climb, either by public transport (coaches and cable cars) or hiking (takes about 3 days to reach the top).
From wall papers to bed sheets, the rooms are cutely Teddy Bear-themed. We paid RMB60 more to upgrade ourselves to the third floor with attached bathroom. The faucet at the washing basin was lose. However, the shower water pressure was strong. The room was clean and comfortable. The air-conditioning was controlled by an individual unit in our room. Firm bed and good pillows, just the way we like them.
Free WiFi. No lift. We had to carry our luggage up the steps.
Lots of restaurants in the vicinity.
Meals can also be bought downstairs at the restaurant next to the check-in counter. The check-in was smooth and the receptionists were friendly. They even helped us to solve our money issues when we ran short of cash.

Stayed her 2 nights, Oct 2013 while visiting Emishan.
Great for what it is. Don't expect 4 star luxury. It's an upmarket hostel, but that is no criticism whatsoever. Actually preferred it to the 4* hotel we came from in Chengdu the night before. A friendly place. Stayed with the family, and totally enjoyed it. Would use it again without any hesitiation.
The area is good, with lots of restaurants nearby.

Extremely easy to find. The bus station is on the main Baoguosi road, with the entrance to the bus station to your back turn right and start walking down the road, the Teddy Bear is on the next side street to your right, you'll see a big sign.
Excellent wifi, very fast and a number of connections you can make. Friendly staff at the front desk and pricing was ok at $20 for a private bathroom double room.
Beds, there were two four foot beds, we comfortable, with excellent loghting in the room comtrolled from the bedside cabinet, plus four easily accessible electric sockets, two by each bed. TV, wardrobe.
Bathroom had the shower at one end and the drain right next to it. Hurray! Finally! Western toilet and sink, with toiletries supplied.
No view from the window, but no noise beyond a ridiculously loud small child screeching in the hallway after 10pm. .

I am not sure what yo mean with 'is there any luggage left'. Do you mean can you leave your luggage there? I have only used the station once; i would for a guess say now. As for operating hours, google the train schedule for there, that should give you and idea.

Anyway I took a bus to go from Emeishan to Chengdu, so I suppose there will be one to Zigong, too.
