This clearly used to be a nice hotel. At one point (presumably pre-COVID) this would have been a nice play to stay. Sadly it is now dirty, very tired, and ultimately fairly unpleasant. Our teddy-bear-themed room had clearly once had a lot of thought go into it, but is now in dire need of a deep clean and some tlc: mirrors were smeared/dirty, the bath/jacuzzi was filthy, the shower door was broken and didn’t close properly, and the room was smelly. Pros: Great location near bus station Good price (241RMB for two nights; double room) Free map and travel advice Friendly staff English spoken English food menu, lounge area & decent food Clean bedding and towels Cons: Very dirty rooms (we didn’t dare touch the bath!) Fixtures and fittings broken Noise (from bus station and thin walls) Conclusion: If you’re on a tight budget and can put up with a very dirty room this isn’t a bad place to spend a night or two

Our double room in Teddy Bear Hotel was very nice and clean. Wifi worked very well. The staff was nice and gave us a map that helped us a lot during our trek in the area. It was very good value for the money spent. The location is excellent if you want to climb Emei Mountain!

I stayed here before my hike and found it just right. The staff were amazingly helpful and spoke English. The guy working at the desk answered all my questions about the hike and offered to let me store luggage while I was hiking. The food is pretty decent, It's also located right by bus station to take you up the mountain. Also there are the rooms. Amazingly clean and comfortable. And lots and lots of Teddy Bears. Stay here and you'll be very happy.

We stayed here after walking up Emei Shan. A nice tidy hostel, with different levels of accommodation. The dorm beds were comfy enough, although I noticed that not all of them had their own lamps or charging points. A minor point really, as the place was well run with friendly and helpful staff. Nice to kick back after a couple of days solid walking up the mountain. It is well situated. If you take the bus off the mountain to the bus station, turn right as you come out of the station, and the hostel is in the first little street to the right.

The title may be a bit biased as this was the only hotel I stayed at at emei, but I cannot think of how anything could beat the price and service provided. It was a bit hard to find as I couldn't find the hostel on Google maps. Once we got off the bus at the Baoguoshi bus station, facing the station, you want to go to your left. Walk for a bit before turning into an alley, looking for a teddy bear logo. Every room was unique and really cute, so it was fun checking out each other's rooms. The rooms were much bigger than I expected, the wifi was alright, and the toilets were clean. There was dispensers for shampoo and bodywash but the body wash was empty so consider bringing your own. There were a lot of maps and resources about emeishan, and the lady at the reception answered all sorts of questions patiently. For dinner, we gave them a price of 30 yuan per pax and they cooked up I would say 10 dishes and rice. The food was really good and had a great variety. We were going to leave the next morning at 7am to start our hike, so we compiled all our breakfast choices and gave it to them at night. The earliest they could serve breakfast was about 6.30am. If you do not want to have breakfast there, there are tons of convenience shops nearby to grab some drinks and bread. We left our big bags at the left luggage room and checked out. They also helped us charter a bus to Chengdu. It was 1500 yuan for 22 of us, and sent us straight to our hotel. The alternative was to take the hourly bus from the Baoguoshi bus station to Xinnanmen station in chengdu, however we thought that the 300 yuan difference was not worth the hostel to get separate transport to our hotel there. Do talk to the reception a few days in advance if you do want to book a bus though. After our 3 day hike emeishan, we were at the Leidongping Bus station on top of the mountain. We gave them a call and asked if they could prepare lunch for us by the time we reached the bottom. They remembered us and did the same 30 yuan per pax thing, although the dishes were different. Overall, there was no issue or complaint at all about the trip. Everyone on the trip loved it, and it was the cheapest hostel from our whole trip. Similarly to most people on here, highly recommend!
