The chateau is delightful and perfectly located to tour around to various locales. We stayed a week, dined the first night at their Michelin rated restaurant, then relaxed some late afternoons in their open area and by pool. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The room was quaint but had everything you needed. We would return there for sure!

We booked the superior room, it was on the second floor up a curved staircase. This was no problem for us, but should be considered for people with difficulty climbing stairs. The room had all of the charm of an historic chateau, the bath area was updated with the latest features, there was a separate toilette area. We stayed the... More

We had an absolutely fabulous stay in this beautiful Chateau. From the minute we arrived, we felt special and welcomed by the whole team. As we entered the property we were astonished by both the gardens and the castle, beautifully maintained and amazingly laid out. From then on everything was dream-like... a warm welcome, a sincere emphasis on our comfort... More

On our trip to the Loire Valley visiting Chateaus we thought it would be great to stay in one. We were not disappointed Chateau De Pray was outstanding. The location near Amboise is great for Chateaus Amboise and Chenonceau. The hotel is beautiful and authentic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds beautiful. If you stay you should... More

We loved our stay at Chateau de Pray. The hotel, grounds, and our room were even lovelier than we expected. We did miss air conditioning a bit and slept with the windows open. No big deal. Our "superior" room in the main building was 2-3x the size of our room in Paris, which felt luxurious back to back. The breakfast... More

This was a fun place to sleep but we had a hard time finding it. Our GPS might not have been programmed correctly. We couldn't find street signs and the Chateau sign did not seem prominent. The room and chateau were beautiful. There is a full set of armor for a knight on the stairs which is fun to look... More

Stayed here as part of bike tour thru the Loire Valley. Not a large hotel but great layout with nice dining facilities and outdoor seating. Very nice pool area and well maintained. Rooms are a little small but bathrooms are well laid out and more modern than most. Very near town of Amboisse so good location

Amboise, being a favorite desination because of Clos Luce, the Chateau and the charming village center, is very near Chateau de Pray. I selected it because my daughter loves staying in chateaux, so when we travel together I always try to book at least one night in a chateau. This one was not a disappointment. A bonus is the dining... More

The good: -nice reception staff and service -beautiful chateau and surrounding area -restaurant was fantastic! The bad: -not full service in any way, we had to carry our own luggage up stairs and across graveled areas. We almost injured ourselves doing this, and are still recovering now, not the ideal way to relax. -we booked one type of room and... More

We found dining here to be an excellent experience. I've been told that in the best of circumstances flavors are the combination of several sensory experiences. Our dinner at Chateau de Pray was such a combination. Both my dinner companion and I agreed that from the very start, we were treated to the very best of service, seated in a... More
