Stayed here as part of bike tour thru the Loire Valley. Not a large hotel but great layout with nice dining facilities and outdoor seating. Very nice pool area and well maintained. Rooms are a little small but bathrooms are well laid out and more modern than most. Very near town of Amboisse so good location

Amboise, being a favorite desination because of Clos Luce, the Chateau and the charming village center, is very near Chateau de Pray. I selected it because my daughter loves staying in chateaux, so when we travel together I always try to book at least one night in a chateau. This one was not a disappointment. A bonus is the dining... More

The good: -nice reception staff and service -beautiful chateau and surrounding area -restaurant was fantastic! The bad: -not full service in any way, we had to carry our own luggage up stairs and across graveled areas. We almost injured ourselves doing this, and are still recovering now, not the ideal way to relax. -we booked one type of room and... More

We found dining here to be an excellent experience. I've been told that in the best of circumstances flavors are the combination of several sensory experiences. Our dinner at Chateau de Pray was such a combination. Both my dinner companion and I agreed that from the very start, we were treated to the very best of service, seated in a... More

We stayed in room 1 at Chateau de Pray for 3 nights. The room was very nice, but with no air conditioning we were very happy the days we stayed in September were not any warmer as we still needed to open the windows through the night to keep cool. The portable fan provided in the room did help somewhat.... More

What more could you ask for in the beautiful Loire Valley than spending the night in a chateau? Our room was beautiful with its own entrance, an entrance to the beautiful gardens and another entrance to the main part of the hotel. The large room was modern with beautiful furnishings. The bathroom was large and modern. A very special property... More

We had a lovely stay with my husband's family from the 16th to the 22nd of August. My husband and I stayed in one of the petite chambres in the castle's tower. The bedroom is very charming, and the bathroom is up to date! We had a beautiful view of the garden, a great place to read books or have... More

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had two rooms, and both were wonderful. The canopy bed in ours was so romantic and comfortable. (I need to know how to get some of those scrumptuous sheets!) The proprietor was patient, helpful, friendly and gracious. All of the staff were top notch. We arrived exhausted, and from the moment we entered... More

The staff were very helpful. Assisting with contacting our car rental agency due to issues with our rental car. The room was stylish and comfortable with air conditioning. Air conditioning was needed as it was very hot. The breakfast was a buffet and the scrambled eggs were creamy and properly cooked. The dinner we had at the restaurant was fantastic.... More

Myself, my husband and our 13 year old twins stayed here for one night on our way back from the Alps and en route back to the UK to experience the Loire Valley. It did not disappoint. We purposely arrived early (ie way before the 4pm room check in time) to make use of the grounds, gorgeous swimming pool (which... More
