we stayed here back in 2001 and had a room in the main house. this time we were in the outbuilding, which was spacious and had a lovely view of the courtyard. the grounds and buildings are quite beautiful and create a romantic atmosphere. the staff is very friendly and helpful and their english is quite good. the restaurant serves... A night in a chateau in the superb Loire valley. Chateau de Pray was the perfect place to spend the night to celebrate my partner's birthday. The grounds are enchanting, including a rose garden, a kitchen garden from which the meals are prepared, a woodland walk and a secluded swimming pool. The room was pretty and just next to the... We loved Chateau de Pray and truly hope to return in the future. The Chateau itself is beautiful and has been restored with modern touches. Our room worked very well with a loft for our children to sleep in, and a highlight was the swimming pool - which was heated and separated from the Chateau so that the kids could... More

Amboise is perfectly situated to visit the chateaux region of the Loire Valley, and this boutique hotel is a very nice choice in the region. Its just a little bit outside of Amboise, close enough to go into town, and yet in a quiet and very picturesque area. The grounds are beautiful, though unfortunately for us, the weather was not... The chateau is nice, great grounds, good swimming pool. The restaurant is wonderful, great food, impeccable service. Breakfast is also good. The hotel staff were very nice, though like another reviewer, i was irritated by the rearrangement of my things by housekeeping. The rooms themselves are fine. We enjoyed our visit. Charge is a good base from which to explore... More

I really enjoyed my stay here, but a few things were off. First, the bathroom never really felt clean. There was always water marks on the sink, even upon arrival. Also, the maid obnoxiously moves and rearranges your stuff in the bathroom. She/he throws things together that I don't like to have together, and I also don't like having all... More

whether its romance food tourism adventure relaxation and wine this boutique hotel has it all. The staff knows when and when not to be there. we stayed for 5 night and were comfortable the whole time. The original small winding stairs in the outlying room can be a challenge with luggage but was obviously built for serving staff! Not minding... More

I could stay longer in this little chateau. From the time we arrived and met Mr. Jerome we felt great. Their warm welcome make you feel at home. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is heated and the rooms are taking you to the dreamland. I wish I could stay longer and dream all my fairy tales. The breakfast room... More

It is great to find a base for visiting some of the delightful Loire chateaux and what a bonus to stay in a chateau with a further bonus of staying in a chateau with a Michelin Star restaurant. We had three nights here in June 2016 in a large room with a fine four poster bed. There is easy parking... More

Where better to stay in the Loire than in a magical chateau with a wonderful restaurant; precise, courteous and warm service; comfortable well-appointed rooms; and pretty gardens?. Not exactly cheap, but quality and finesse is not a commonplace affair. Ideal both for a stopover on the drive south or for an extended stay.
