Jungle Bay is magnificent. The staff is incredible. They are warm, gracious, and always willing to go the extra mile. The villas are beautiful as well as comfortable. We ate a number of meals in the restaurant. The chef even will make things off the menu. Don’t miss the grilled lobster.

This is an incredible and special resort. I can't wait to return. The staff were so friendly - nothing was an issue. There is so much to see and do. The all inclusive package means you do not have to plan ahead. The food was incredible.

If you appreciate luxury, delight, and excellence in an authentic local experience that will thrill all of your senses, then Jungle Bay is for you. We had the privilege of spending a week in this piece of Paradise, perched elegantly above Scottshead Bay, for a wellness retreat. Gorgeous, spacious, and chicly rustic cabins. Lush forest and gardens, nearly entirely edible. Superb sunrises. Sublime sunsets. Delicious Dominican food, including fresh local seafood, the freshest vegetables, and the sweetest fruits and natural juices. We were spoiled by the kitchen and dining staff, who lovingly encouraged us to enjoy the wonderful local offerings on the menu. The most delicious tuna I've ever tasted, brought up fresh daily from Scottshead Bay. Spa treatments soothed our souls, and helped us come home to the strength of our spirits. Jungle Bay provided us with a special retreat within the retreat. Many thanks to Sam, the owner, for treating us like family. We were sad to leave our new friends and family at the end of our week-long stay, but are grateful to carry the ethos, flavor, and spirit of Jungle Bay in our hearts. We will be back!

My husband and I spent a three-week vacation at Jungle Bay Resort in March 2022. The journey from Europe was long and the flood of forms due to Covid 19 huge. But it was worth it! Jungle Bay is slightly elevated above Soufriere and we had a great view of Scotts Head Bay from our villa. Although Jungle Bay is known for its wellness and hiking, we spent our free time there exclusively with diving. Our great passion! (See separate report under Nature Island Dive Center) Every day we were driven by car to the diving center Nature Island Dive, which was 5 minutes away, and later picked up again. Everything super coordinated by the resort crew. Although there was also a large wedding party from the States there during our stay, as individual guests we never had the feeling of having to wait in line. Every wish was fulfilled, and the service was excellent. We had booked half board and dinner was served in the form of a 4-course menu. There is a weekly plan for the half-board menus, but we never got bored of the kitchen over the 3 weeks. In addition to the fixed menus, there was always a special. The wine selection is also excellent. By the way, once a week the owner Sam takes a tour of his property. He tells about the formation of the Jungle Bay and then shows the diversity of the plant world within the resort. Very exciting and highly recommended! A big THANK YOU to the whole crew from the owner (Sam) to the management (Nancy, Laura), the chef (Garfield and Joanne), the service staff (Sherries, Nikisha, Edmont, Edlina, Julie), the drivers (Cameron and Wifee) and everyone else, whose name we unfortunately do not know, for making our stay with you unforgettable!

I booked a four night adventure package which included accommodation, all meals, airport transfers, a massage, one day of activities and scuba diving with Nature Diving. Everything was perfectly organized. The staff are all super friendly and go out of their way to help you. The meals are good and they have veggie options. The villas are comfortable and very clean. WIFI works well considering you're on a remote island. They are very efficient at scheduling the Covid test allowing you to fly out. And Nancy (the efficient Swiss manager) gives nightly yoga classes for a small surcharge. A very relaxing place. Wish I had stayed an extra night or two with no activities to really unwind.

Jungle Bay is like a refreshing hug from Dominica. Where do I start?! The owner & staff: Sam, who is the owner, has put his heart & soul into this extraordinary haven. Often seen around the hotel making guests feel at home or you’ll find him being hands on with landscaping, gardening and tours. It’s extremely charming and inspiring to see just how much he loves the hotel and the team that he has built. The chefs and resturant staff are attentive , always making sure you have what you need. With my dairy free diet I’m always concerned that I won’t have options, but the staff made sure. I was even treated to some fish options that were not on the menu that day. Front of house staff are super efficient and on the ball, no request was too much for them… always happy to help. The management team, quietly and seamlessly running the ship, you can see these awesome ladies making sure that guests are content and satisfied. The Jungle Bay team are a family and you sense it through out your stay. It’s almost as if you’ve been invited home! The food: Great local and international options. Very vegan and vegetarian friendly; for example there were many tofu dishes, homemade gluten free bean fritters, Buddha bowls and salads. Wide range of locally sourced ingredients, with a huge amount grown on site. Fresh fruits in the morning are so delicious. Do not leave without trying the Dominican breakfast. Lunch was approximately $15-20 per head & Dinner $25-35 per head. Location: See the pictures they do not lie!! Rooms: we had a twin room with garden view (a little sea view). Beautiful wood cabin rooms. Spacious rainfall showers and huge balcony, where you could catch the sun all day. Activities: on-site there is a gym, two pools and a yoga studio. There is also a full spa (no sauna). Each day their are ample activities and tours to do off-site, which are organised by the hotel. Covid Safety: All the staff wore their masks PROPERLY. I did feel sorry for them, but I respected how seriously they took mask wearing. There is sanitiser absolutely everywhere and social distancing where possible. I felt very safe.

We booked a waterfront villa and it was awesome. The view of the Caribbean Sea, beautiful plants and trees, hummingbirds and wildlife was well worth the cost. The sunset is stunningly beautiful and the night sky, full of bright stars, is incomparable. We went as a group of friends going to swim with whales with @islandstylefishing and it was incredible! A whale calf swam towards me and as I tried to swim away so as not to touch the wildlife, she gently rubbed up against me and swam away! A memory for a lifetime! The hotel offers yoga retreats, weekly cooking classes and excursions around the island. The villa rooms are beautiful, spacious and super clean. The windows are half glass and half wood shutters but there is a cool net hanging over the bed that you open and drape over the bed. The air conditioning works really well and I had to turn it down a few times bc I was freezing. No tv’s or microwaves on the property but an electric tea pot and a French press coffee maker is available in the room. The villa can easily sleep 3… king bed and a large twin sized day bed in an alcove provides a bit of privacy. Great hotel and wonderful service.

A lovely resort set on a hillside in beautiful grounds with a relaxing and friendly vibe to it. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable with stunning views from the windows and balcony across Soufriere Bay. Surrounded by trees and flowers it was a haven for birds and a delight to watch them, particularly the hummingbirds. Every person working at Jungle Bay was a delight. They were really lovely, friendly and helpful – nothing was ever too much trouble. They were obviously very proud of their resort – and rightly so. The guided excursions were many and varied and suited to both the adventurous and the not so energetic! The guides were really knowledgeable and were good company as well as being excellent drivers – essential, together with the comfortable and well maintained vehicles, as the roads are winding and extremely hilly. We enjoyed kayaking, walking, snorkelling, exploring the local area, Including hot streams and pools and also loved experiencing the fantastic whale and dolphin watching. We were delighted we had chosen to stay at Jungle Bay as the whole package of proximity to the highlights of Dominica, our villa, gardens, delicious fresh local food, relaxing spa treatments and excursions were spot on.

The service here is the best. Delwin made our experience and stay exceptional. The room is also comfortable, and the view from it is amazing. We also loved the nature around the property. Our breakfast was tasty. We had no complaints about our function and night at the hotel.
