The hotel is actually part of an active monastery in the centre of town. I think the reception staff must have been changed since a couple of the reviews as the two receptionists we dealt with were extremely friendly, chatty and helpful. The rooms are quite basic but have a bathroom (with shower), TV and Wifi. and are spotlessly clean....

This hotel is basic but a very pleasant place to stay. Rooms are clean, the beds reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was good and the hotel represents good value for money. There is plentiful free car parking on site. It is only a short walk into the old town so conveniently sited. The woman receptionist was not genetically disposed to hospitality, but...

The hotel is part of an active monastery and run by the monks. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Wi-fi and TV were available, which was a surprise. It is situated in the centre of the town and parking is provided. 50€ a night plus 4€ for breakfast makes it an absolute bargain. Even though it is in the...

When we arrived, there was no welcome of any kind from the unsmiling old fellow at reception. We thought he might belong to a silent order of monks! Anyway, we expected a quirky place and we were not disappointed. This is a wonderful building in a great location in the heart of the biz. Quiet room, you could hear a...

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor we booked a 2night stay and we were not disappointed. We were so well looked after by the monks and lay staff. Fr. Juan speaks some English and was very attentive. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, good basic Spanish breakfast and an amazing dinner, which you have to pre book. It was an oasis...

A quiet reasonably priced hotel in the centre of town. Very clean comfortable rooms with all facilities ,without a TV but with excellent WiFi. A separate TV/ computer lounge is available. A buffet breakfast is available ,with an excellent evening meal freshly cooked ,both at a very fair price. You have to order the evening meal before 12 am on...

Like the other reviewers here, we loved this place. The rooms are simple but extremely comfortable and the whole is spotless. In fact, I have never been to a hotel so clean. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby as is the old town and the sanctuary. Just beautiful. If you want to stay in caravaca, I can think of no...

Lovely place to stay - very peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Safe private parking in the grounds. Breakfast was simple but very enjoyable. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Rooms are basic but with all that is needed for a stay of a couple nights in this very interesting town. Good central situation with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The...

On a long road trip, I stopped here. It was chosen (honestly) because it was about 20 km away from the med and so away from mass tourism. It is literally the calling of the monks here to make a simple and welcoming place for visitors, and they succeeded beyond any expectation I would have had. I would pray for...

I really cannot praise this establishment enough. As commented on previously, it is attached to a working monastery and, as others have mentioned before, it is largely staffed by the 4 Carmelite brothers who live in the monastery, with a few lay helpers. Firstly, location. It is perfectly located in the heart of Caravaca, with good private parking, so that...
