This simple and small beach hotel is located only a short distance from the historical village of Bagamoyo. The ten self contained rooms all have a breathtaking seaview overlooking the Zanzibar Channel. The rates are reasonable considering the rooms are all beachfront and air conditioned. Great breakfasts and fresh seafood served by a small but very dedicated and friendly team.

Great location and view of the sea but that is where the good things stop There are many stairs down to gain access to this hotel rooms were basic with gaps around the door. had to remove wild life before going to bed We had no hot water for showers and the hotel needs some renovation. A great need for some TLC. Friendly staff Breakfast nothing special but the usual eggs as you want them, pancakes, juice .tea and coffee. Disappointing experience was had by us when we stayed here. Has the potential to be a first class resort with some maintenance to rooms definitely needed.

Horrible rooms & terrible room service. No power, no power back up, no water. Very bad customer service. Had planned for two nights stay, but had to checkout next day. Finally was threatened to pay full charges as booked. NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE.

Friendly staff, nice clean rooms, good value for money. We stayed six nights and were very well received. Quiet location with lots of places of historical and cultural interest within walking distance. Also a good beach! Hotell staff helped us arrange snorkling tour as well as guided city walk. Would love to go back!

We spent 3 days in Bagamoyo Country club and were the only 3 clients at this time as it was low season. Peaceful place, good food and nice beach. All the items on the menu were not available and the installations would require a little refreshment. The crew is all the kindest and will make it all to help, inform and care you.

On first impressions, this quaint, hidden gem looks like nothing special, but the amazing view from the rooms, its situation right on the beach, quiet atmosphere, privacy and excellent attention from the friendly staff, make it a place worth visiting. The beach is away from the buzzing hub of the fishing market and village, so more private and relaxing than other places. It is a pleasant 20-minute walk to the village, where there are unusual restaurants and cafes hidden behind historical.building facades, down interesting little streets. We also took a tour with a good local guide recommended by the Club, and found it interesting and worthwhile. Rooms were simple, clean, had fans, but needed attention to rusty shower heads, always a problem with humid beach air. Don't be fooled by the name, no sports facilities here but the beach is all you need. We will certainly go back.
