We have been seasonal campers for five years and very satisfied. There have been many improvements recently and more planned for the upcoming 2020 season. Our friends who have visited the camp have been pleasantly surprised. One commented “I can see why you love it here.”
Managers mentality ‘Do as I say, not as I do’. Ray and Anne, the managers have no people skills. Don’t even know how they managed to be in their positions. Don’t even bother calling head office, they ignore your calls and emails. Then they will report you back to Ray and Ann. Ann has a way of lying her way through everything. Was told I was not allowed to have my service dog in the front office because Ray and Ann’s dog doesn’t like other dogs. That is just plain discrimination.Their German Shepherd roams free in the front office Ann parks in the handicapped parking spots meant for customers, and I’m sure she doesn’t have a handicapped parking placard. Ray said to my husband ‘I’m your boss and you’re under me’. Ray and his maintenance staff walk onto your site without asking or letting you know. They speed thru the park on their gulf carts and go thru stop signs. Maintenance guys (one being Rays nephew, Nepotism at its finest) stops at your site and gives you trouble any time he feels like it. Pool bathrooms are disgusting. No shower curtains, mold on the walls. Toilet tank lid missing and tank full of black mold. They want you to shower before going into the pool, but one day I went to shower and it was full of vomit. First thing you see when you enter the park are smelly garbage dumpsters. They also don’t believe or offer recycling.Cigarette butts everywhere, even though there are ‘no smoking’ signs posted everywhere. I would not recommend this park to my worst enemy.…
My family have been seasonal campers for almost 2 decades, and transient for many years prior. The park has gone extremely downhill since it was sold to the corporations that came after the family owners. The most recent company to purchase the park is the American company Carefree Rv Parks. The new managers Anne and Ray are bullies. Ray doesn't speak to you; he only yells and gets angry. Anne doesn't remember a single thing she says, which results in her calling you a liar often. They can't agree on anything and seem to find joy in contradicting themselves and screwing you around. They are unprofessional, rude and have no clue how to manage anything. They strung us along all summer, and requested things that later they denied asking for or said wasn't good enough. They wasted our money and lied to us all summer. There are different rules for different people. Some people even get to make their own rules that are enforced park-wide (e.x. bird feeders are banned because one seasonal camper doesn't like squirrels on his site...in a campground). Despite our being good clients and following every rule and request thrown at us to the best of our abilities, they still threw us out. 2 decades and we were bullied out. The park is no longer an authentic campground in the woods, as it once was. It's a retirement village. Green grass, new trailers, and perfection is the standard, anything less and you're considered messy and will be kicked out. They often book over sites that were reserved, and being run over by golf carts is a hazard you almost can't avoid. If you want to purchase a new trailer you have two options: buy from one of their retailers for an inflated price, or buy any trailer you want but you must pay a $2000 "pad fee" (that gets you absolutely nothing, no leveling or concrete or even gravel - That's extra) And don't you dare complain, because you can be sure the managers can't handle it and will ban you from the park.…
This was our 10th year here & the best. Ray & Anne have done an outstanding job of putting the camp back on top. Kind, careing, warm, helpfull, professional. All staff are good. Bathrooms clean, grounds are nice, a great pool, nice trails. Thanks to the rec.comittee for all they do. Looking forward to next summer, Cheers Reg & Audrey Laws
We spent Labour Day weekend at this park. Management and front desk staff were great. There was a mixup with our campsite and management was quick to correct this error. The front desk staff was wonderful. She was fun and quite personable. The park itself is kept clean and a lot of weekend activities. A band one night. They were quite good. The next night fireworks with no expense spared. The park could do with more washrooms and showers throughout. The park itself is well treed, so not a lot of sunshine throughout. We enjoyed our time there.
