If the traditional arrival by a traditional Kerala boat does not impress you, the stunning architecture and perfect location will definitely do the job. The boat ride itself gives you a glimpse of the local life of villagers along the Kerala backwaters. The welcome by the GM - Shambu and team was warm and nice. We were quickly checked in...

Arriving on a tour bus is impossible so there is a ten minute boat journey to the hotel. The transfer boats moor outside the reception. After check in it was a short walk over a couple of waterways to our room which was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was different in that it was open air (but...

People rave about Rajasthan but I feel that Kerala is potentially an even more amazing holiday spot for those that seek a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday in India (didn't know that could exist) Kerala is such a hidden gem to the international tourists and Kumarakom is definitely quite off the beaten path and probably good that it remains so.. This...

This was just mind blowing. The whole place was just wonderful. This had bungalows and ours had the river running past it. You could sit on the verandah and watch kingfishers, herons and other birds swooping over the water and houseboats coming past. The bathroom literally took your breath away. It was out of this world. The butterfly garden and...

I am not too picky when it comes to hotels, but Coconut Lagoon has spoiled me now. It was wonderful to stay at this property and enjoy the stillness. I don't know whether the sprawling green lawns, the rare breed of cows silently gazing the grass, the backwaters or the zillion activities of the hotel or the loving staff made...

Dear Guest, thank you for posting your comments on this forum. We are glad that you liked our property and the hospitality. Being a property with a vast tropical garden and traditional transplanted wooden house ,chances of a squirrel running in the attic is possible. But we are really sorry that it disturbed you. We have already taken steps to...

We booked this place with a vision of staying somewhere far from hustle and bustle of North India. Tropical paradise, full board, private villa with a pool in your yard…yes! All was perfect..food and service is excellent, the " hotel village" is set in the amazing grounds, very well kept, little cows at the back of paddy fields and the view...

To start with, anytime you can only arrive and depart from a place by boat is pretty cool. We stayed here after a boat cruise through the backwaters. Coconut Lagoon is like a little village. CGH Earth does a great job with their properties with an eye towards retaining local history and culture, as well as environmental awareness. The cottages...
