We were two couples traveling by bicycle, and Le Cisterne was a perfect fit for us for a three night stay. There were two bedrooms (each with bathroom) with a kitchen in between, so in essence it was an apartment for us. The comfortable kitchen appeared to be set up for cooking meals although we mostly went out to eat....

The B&B Le Cisterne is one of the best place I ever stayed. The rooms, each with its own bathroom, are newly decorated, spacious, comfortable, and very clean. It's possible to use a shared kitchen, also very clean and furnished with all the essentials. Hosts can also make use of the beautiful terrace, which is a perfect place to rest, enjoy...

If you're looking for some quite town in a great location, then Amelia might be the one. It is a very lovely place to stay for a couple of days and plenty to see and visit around the area during your stay. We were there only 2 nights, but had a great experience! We had such an enjoyable stay at Le Cisterne B&B. On hot July days the "India" room remained cool and at night time was perfectly quiet The terrace, where we enjoyed breakfast (home made bread and jams, accompanied by yoghurt and fresh fruit, coffee or tea) offered pleasant shade whenever we wanted. Silvia is a thoroughly charming hostess and knows...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at b&b le cisterne. The location is ideal at the top of the old town. The rooms are spacious, functional, cool in the heat of summer and very clean. The bathrooms are also clean, spacious and well set-up. The kitchenette area for guests is also useful and makes for a very comfortable stay. Mention must...

This was our first stop on our driving holiday in Umbria and was probably the nicest place we stayed. The old town is very beautiful and it was lovely to wander around. The Roman cisterne is fun to visit and the museum was interesting although there was no information in English. The only drawback of Amelia is a lack of...

If you are looking for a friendly host who wants you to enjoy your stay in Amelia please stay here! The beds are comfortable and the courtyard is a lovely place to have coffee and watch the tortoises. Silvia picked me up from the train station and arranged a friend Helmut, to take us back to the station when we...

This is a beautifully-located apartment in a picturesque part of the old town, called Le Cisterne because it is actually built over old Roman water cisternes which can be toured. There are two rooms available in the historic building which are separated by a fully-equipped kitchen, available for use by guests. Everything was very clean and in working order. There...

We loved Amelia. It is a tranquil Umbrian town set in rolling hills. The cobblestone streets are steep in parts, but the cars are patient and never toot you! Silvia is exceptionally helpful and informative. She picked us up from the station, and cheerfully gave of her time and energy to help us. The b and b is well located,...

I spent a weekend in Amelia attending a conference. Although I booked late but Silvia, the owner was most kind to accommodate so I had a place to stay. I am grateful for that. It felt like being a guest in someone's house, not the impersonal hotel experience. The house is old, charming, the interior spaces are intimate but private,...

“The India Room, where we stayed, is quiet and cool, There is no view from the window as it faces the wall of a nearby house, but that did not bother us as we used the terrace to sit out. The Africa Room does have a window onto the terrace, which some might prefer, but we liked our room.”

“Silvia has 2 rooms, with a share kitchen, with a fridge and stove. It has everything you would want, except a microwave, which some people might find useful. Our room was big and comfortable, and everything worked. It was decorated in Indian style with art work, paintings and embroideries.”
