Aurland is a fairytale! Such a lovely little town! The locals and hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. The natural beauty outside your window is breathtaking! I have never felt safer in a place in my life! I didn't want to leave my beautiful ancestral home!

We stayed at this hotel as a break in our DYI Norway in a Nutshell trip. It was the perfect place to stay. We knew that we would be short on daylight on the day we arrived so I communicated with the manager in advance and he arranged a good price for us to be met at the fjord when...

Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice views of the fjord. Upper rooms have balconies. Free on-site parking. Bar, lounge and restaurant. Easy walk to supermarket and shops in a lovely small town located 15 minutes from Flam. Nice breakfast. Friendly owner and manager.

Pros: Below is a shot from our window even though we had the “economy room”. The view is worth one million dollars. I believe that the upgraded rooms have balconies and front-facing views of the fjord. Just gorgeous. The staff is friendly. When we needed a taxi to Flam, we asked a server at breakfast and she offered to drive...

We spent a night here while exploring the area. Clean and comfy rooms. 90's decor. No double beds - only narrow single beds placed together. Good breakfast available. Very pleasant staff. Very much enjoyed the view from the private balcony.

In short this hotel was nice but seemed a little overpriced for what it was compared to the other hotels that we stayed in in and around the fjords. The room was clean and comfortable but a little outdated with its furnishings and fittings. The breakfast however was delicious with a great choice.

We stayed in this lovely hotel in September 2016. The hotel rooms have an awesome fjord view from the upper floors. Service by Martin (the only staff member!) was excellent. However, you have to be fit and strong to climb the steps and walk quite a bit to reach your room in the 3rd and 4th floors. We were told...

This is a good hotel for a stopover while driving through the fjord. The little village town is less touristy and crowded than Flam which is less than 10 minutes away by car. But there's not much to do in Aurland itself where there're just a couple of tiny streets of shops. The hotel is nothing special. Small, clean rooms,...

The hotel was fine for a two night stay and for exploring the surrounding areas. It is BASIC accommodation but the limited staff were friendly and helpful. Limited wifi, restaurants close by as is the bus stop, the Aurlandsfjords waterfront, the supermarket and the information centre. We did have amazing views from our room and Aurland is a beautiful spot....

This was a very nice hotel is the quiet town of Aurland. Close to a supermarket where we bought groceries and beer for a quiet meal in our room overlooking the fjord. We could have had dinner in the hotel, that night the two choices entree choices were crispy fish and pork, but we decided to pass in favor of...
