Vangsgaarden Guest house is quaint and unpretentious, located in Aurland at the edge of the fjord. We stayed in one of the cottages which is right at the water's edge. The cottages are slightly rustic but comfortable, well heated and include kitchens. There's a loft as well as a bedroom and could sleep 4. As suggested by prior TripAdvisor reviewers,...

Excellent breakfast offered, bread was delicious and the goat cheese! Adjacent restaurant Duehuset served very tasty local food. Inside the guesthouse, it was well cared for and clean. The breakfast house Aabelheim is quite charming, full of old photographs and memorabilia to look at as you eat. We were there over a weekend and on a Sunday, very few places...

We were very pleased at our choice of Vangsgaarden, a small inn in the centre of the lovely village of Aurland. As we found Norway extremely expensive, rather than booking one of their cabins we chose to stay in the one-storey inn, with a view of the fjord over their small and convenient parking lot. We found very at home...

We stayed in Cabin/Cottage #5 and it was absolutely lovely! The size from the outside is deceiving; my husband and I thought it was much larger/spacious on the inside (as well as clean and adorable). The most obvious aspect about this cabin is THE VIEW! My goodness... it's amazing. Every time I walked out of the bathroom and looked out...

Aurland is a beautiful little village with some picture perfect scenery all around. The lush hills, babbling river and the fjord views make this place truly delightful. Vangsgarden is extremely well located and one can catch a bus from Flam that would drop u to the Aurland bus stop. Vangsgarden is a 2 min walk from the bus stop. There...

Spectacular views and quite reasonable too. The cottages are better than the rooms. They look out directly to the fjord, you can hear the water lapping at the walls. There's a gas, an oven, utensils and cutlery so you can even cook your own stuff. Everything is picture postcard pretty.

When we were booking in the Flam area this was the only lodging available. We had a nice room with ensuite and you can eat here as well if you wish. If you take the local road up the mountain there are fabulous views of the fjord.

Out of 4 different hotels during a roadtrip in southern Norway,- this place totally topped the scale. The location is stunning and the hole place is extremely original, quaint, quirky and fantastic charming. Great and very friendly service, nice rooms but a little small. The restaurant "Dueslaget" was what the real Norway is all about,- rustic, cosy and a superb...

Stunning fjord location for the waterside self catering cabins, which is part of the quaintly laid out hotel. Family of four with two teenage boys, yes it's a little compact and the upstairs beds space gets quite stuffy and warm but all equipment is in good order and we spent four content days with the no. 5 cabin as our...

We stayed 4 nights there as a family of 5 with 3 children (pre-teen). There are 2 sections in this hotel - the self service cabins and rooms in the main building. We stayed in a cabin. The view from the main room of the cabin was unbeatable. Right on the fjord at water level! Cabin #6, our cabin, had...
