Apart from the great breakfast (included) there is not much to get excited about. So let's start with breakfast, eggs, toast, bread, cheese, meat, cereal, fresh fruit salad...all good for a sporty day ahead. Sadly the rest of the hotel is a 2 star sliding down to 1 star. Smelly bathroom, dated decor, cheap furniture, broken electrical sockets in the... More

Stayed for one night as our usual hotels in Valberg were closed. This hotel is within 3 minutes walk of the main square and has on street parking outside. The rooms are of a good size and basically furnished. The bathrooms have been refitted recently in a modern style. No balcony. Dinner is available for residents. Breakfast buffet is ample... More

First Class service, host was really helpfull and flexible with check-out etc. Breakfast was as expected, really good and plenty of choices. Location in the heart of valberg. Rooms are clean and modest, minor issue was leaking bathroom sink. Really good place to visit, highly recommended!

We arrived at this good sized hotel at the beginning of October, when the town seemed to be completely closed being out of the main season. The hotel has 42 rooms, and apparently, if it was not for us and our companions, who had another room, only three other rooms were in use. The room we were given was round... More

We loved this place. Rooms are functional and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the food in the hotel restaurant was excellent, and certainly enough to keep hungry cyclists happy. There's a large garage for motorbikes and bicycles.

Stayed overnight in September on the way to chamonix. Family suite was spacious with two bathrooms and fully renovated and tidy. There is a nice porch/balcony added to the unit. Good location near the center with restaurants nearby within a walking distance. Stuff helped us to find proper opened restaurant late in the evening. comfy small hotel. Breakfast was OK... More

We have just stayed in this Hotel for a second time, escaping to the peace and quiet of a low season Valberg at the end of our season on the coast. The service is spot on, the beds are comfortable, the wi-fi works a treat, and the shower blasts piping hot water. Free buffet breakfast has plenty of choice and... More

This hotel is in the centre of Valberg can be hard to locate with a sat nav. Very very basic rooms but clean and relaxing. Good cold buffet breakfast. Fantastic scenic walks from the town centre nearby .

We stayed 2 days at le Chastellan. The rooms decoration is very basic, bud the beds are comfortable and firm. We even needed heat late June and were able to turn it on. Loved the smell of the shower gel. Very nice. Breakfast is an awesome buffet: a very good start for our bike rides. The owner was very helpful... More

Spent two nights here in March. Room comfortable but rather drab with brown painted doors and bed covers. Rather dated feel. The room was too hot and the window would not open. However, the bed was comfortable and the towels were soft and white. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. There is a ski room for boots,... More
