We had a weekend break in Borgo and absolutely loved it. The apartment was clean and big enough for the 6 of us. The restaurant on site was brilliant the food was amazing and wine was beautiful. The surroundings are amazing and the pool is in a brilliant location. Would highly recommend for couples and family's.

When we first stayed at Poggiaccio, the owners had just redone the entire complex and it was perfect. It still is one of our favorite places in Tuscany and a fabulous place for a wedding, for sure. Knowing the previous owners and her style for detail, a little bit has been lost. The pool has been redone now and it's... More

Great accommodations in Tuscany! Lovely pool during the hot summer months, which my children enjoyed. Wonderful view of the Tuscan countryside. The apartment we rented was well equipped and spacious, which was perfect for our group of 6. The included breakfast provided a nice variety of food options for everyone. While staying here, we visited nearby Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and... More

On 2nd July 2016, we rented the whole Borgo for the entire weekend to host our wedding party. Over 70 guests from different nationalities came to the Borgo and they were all stunned by the beauty of the place! We visited a lot of places in the area and loved this one since the first time we stepped in. I... More

Dear Alberto, our collaboration started one year ago; I remeber the first visit at the Borgo and we built the event day by day with e-mails, skype calls and your Excel tabels... Great work and great gratification also for me, Lisa and our staff. During the ceremony I was sincerely touched because all was good, but also because I was... More

We stayed here 10 years ago for our 20th anniversary so wanted to revisit a beautiful inn for our 30th. It was lovely this time too. The pool has been redone which I'm sure was a considerable investment. We stayed in the little apartment "Romantica" on the upper side of the pool. It was very quiet and peaceful. It would... More

This place was amazing. It is a medieval residence. The apartments are spacious and well appointed. Beautiful views. Had a great meal at the restaurant. Too cold to use the pool but the outdoor space was so inviting for relaxing with wine and cheese and watching the sunset. Great and friendly service. Would definitely stay here again.

We chose the Borgo Il Poggiaccio because of the location – great for our plans to visit Tuscany - and the inviting good reviews in Tripadvisor, however I was a bit disappointed. Our first stay here - we have driven by many times and always felt it was too close to the road. Still we were pleasantly surprised that the road noise was not really a problem. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Historical 14th century hamlet, Borgo il Poggiaccio is situated between Siena and San Gimignano, amid the gently rolling Siena hills, one of the most enchanting landscapes of Tuscany and one of Italy's culturally richest regions. The hamlet has recently been completely restored, but keeping a magic ancient atmosphere. It has in fact a remarkable tradition, both historic and architectural, recently reconstructed in all its magnificence, creating a very romantic medieval atmosphere. In the past in fact it used to be an autonomous, independent structure, with its school, bakery, carpenter and various other activities that even today it is possible to identify through the names of its apartments. All the 14 apartments - different in architecture from each other, and in size from 50 to 140 m2 - have a beautiful open fireplace in the living room and a well equipped kitchen. A 4* Hotel service and breakfast with extensive buffet are included in the price. ... more   less
