Stayed 4 nights - group of three in two rooms one double and a twin. Spotlessly clean traditional decorated rooms with heating in bathroom and room itself. It was around 7 degrees at night and was not cold. Breakfast was amazing. Toast, cereal, homemade jams, eggs, meats and cheese and don’t forget homemade cake. We loved the chocolate cake one morning - we came back from a day out to find the hosts had put some in cling wrap and bowls and put in our rooms! So sweet of them. To access the hotel you cannot access from the road. You need to use the stairs, from the road, then a slope by the theatre then a flat street and then few more stairs. We found it fine but anyone with mobility difficulties may struggle. There are more steps in the hotel. We got parking on the street but not always near the stairs. The stairs are 50m from the restaurant called Corredera 55. Which I will write a seperate review of. Last but not least the little lounge area on the roof top is lovely and the views of Vejer are amazing.

This is a lovely welcoming town house about 10 minutes walk from the Spanish Plaza. It has several rooms off a central courtyard each individually laid out and decorated. We stayed in Tarifa which was a double room with kitchen. It was slightly rustic but comfortable and the bed being in an alcove could only be accessed from one side. I debated whether to give the hotel 4 or 5 out of 5 each evening and then woke up to the best view in Vejer from the rooms terrace and separate Juliet balcony! Our hosts were happy to serve breakfast on the terrace which was just fabulous! The breakfast was home made with meats, cheese, pate, fruit, fresh orange juice cake etc and our hosts were so welcoming. We were therefore more than happy to overlook the bathroom door didn’t close properly! Vejer and the hotel are served by many steps so bring easy shoes. And book a room with a terrace if you can although there is also a little known shared terrace as well.

Perfect hosts. Lovely breakfast, all homemade with gluten free options available (let them know in advance). Very clean comfortable rooms. Terrace shaded and ideal for siesta time. Charming hotel in a charming town, cannot wait to return. Only two words of advice: not suitable for immobile travellers due to steep steps up to hotel. In summer keep windows closed to avoid biting insects and wear deet repellent. A wonderful stay!
