The casa is centrally located within walking distance to the cultural and commercial centers and only 500 meters from the Cathedral and Casa de la Trova. Although centrally located, the casa sits in a small side street offering a tranquil atmosphere away from any city noise. The owners are both professors; Rafael a Geography professor and wife Adis an English and Computer Technology professor. Rafael, Adis and staff take pride in making every minute of your stay a memorable and warm experience. We offer two totally independent and spacious rooms. Both rooms have two beds each with extra space to accommodate more than two guests each. We offer total privacy since both rooms are located on the second floor. The rooms have balcony/terrace with rocking chairs, flower garden and healing plants. From the third floor terrace you will enjoy 360° views of the ocean, the mountains, as well as views of the city's roof tops. While relaxing on the terrace, you will enjoy the fresh breeze and the view of the ocean and the mountains; at night you can enjoy having a drink while gazing at the beautiful stars display. Each room offers its own private full bathroom with hot water 24 hours a day. Linens and towels are changed daily unless you order otherwise. There is a library with book exchange in different languages. Each room is equipped with air conditioning. We offer various other services like laundry services, bicycle rentals, schedule tours, salsa dance classes, Spanish classes, and Cuban cuisine classes (our specialties are fish in coconut milk and other local dishes). Adis is an expert in preparing local and traditional foods. The main house is occupied by Rafael and Adis.

When we visited Adis was away visiting her daughter in Miami, but Rafael was a lovely host. We were able to park our car opposite the house and it was looked after by the neighbours for 2 CUCs per night. Rafael arranged a local driver (Angel) for a day out for us, and he was wonderful and spoke great english (a former english teacher). The Casa is in a great location near to the centre of town, and has a lovely terrace where breakfast is served. The main two rooms were already being used when we arrived, so were were in a downstairs room at the front of the house. This meant we did hear the road noise at night, and the sheets were nylon, which is not great given the heat. We also had problems getting any hot water in the shower. However, if you can get one of the two rooms upstairs, I am sure things are much better.

Adis and Rafael's casa particular was the perfect place to stay while exploring Baracoa and its surroundings. Every day started with a generous and savoury breakfast served by the lovable Ita on the roof terrace. The house is very close to the main square and everything in Baracoa is within walking distance. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. Above all, Adis and Rafael made me feel at home. We had good talks and they answered all my questions. They were very accommodating and I extended my stay to 5 nights because I loved it so much.

The room was big with access to the terrace. It was very clean when we entered but it was also cleaned every day in detail. We also had breakfast and dinner there and it was excellent. Abundant and economic compared to the food served in restaurants. The couple very nice and polite people!

The title says it all. I stayed in their casa for 3 nights. They provided me a room with a queen size bed and a single bed with my own private bathroom. But the best part was the stairs in my room leading to the rooftop terrace! The room was very very clean and well kept. They were very accommodating with my food requests. I asked for rice for breakfast and they gave it for free. You should try Adis's fish with coconut sauce and pumpkin soup. It's very very delicious! The place is 5 minutes away from the central plaza. Rafael used to be a school principal while Adis was an English teacher. My most cherished memory was when they spared their time to listen to my stories in Spanish! I am not a Spanish speaker so you can imagine their patience whenever I try to tell them what has transpired on each day. They also taught me a lot of Spanish words. I really felt at home staying in their place.
